This story is so Worcester it hurts…….

Masslive:  A dancer at Worcester’s Centerfolds strip club is alleging that she was fired and physically shoved out of the club last week after refusing to follow a new tip-sharing policy, as the club contends with a separate lawsuit alleging wage theft and illegal tip-out rules. On the evening Feb. 19, 2018, Worcester police officers responded to a call from the dancer, Melisa Moone, who reported that she had been fired and kicked out of the club. The officer met Moone at a nearby gas station, according to a police report obtained by MassLive.

“Ms. Moone stated that at the end of the shift she was asked to ‘tip-out’ with the business per new policy,” the report said. “Ms. Moone stated she did not want to follow this policy. It was at this point the manager Paul Boria stated Ms. Moone was fired and asked to leave.”

The dispute was over a sharp rise in the fees the club charges to dancers, Moone told MassLive. Previously, dancers paid $40 per shift and $15 to the club’s DJ out of their tips; on Feb. 19, that increased to the first $50 in dance charges, $5 from each subsequent dance and 10 percent of payments from clients in the club’s back room, she said. Another former dancer at the club said in an interview that she had received at least five phone calls from other dancers telling her about the tipout increases. Moone also showed MassLive text messages from the hours before her firing in which she complains to her son about the rising fees.

The incident comes as the club is facing legal scrutiny over its labor practices, which allegedly include forcing dancers to pay fees to work, classifying them as independent contractors and making them share tips with the club’s DJs. Moone said that at the end of her shift she told a manager she had been overcharged and could not pay out the fees.

“I did not make what [the manager] said I made so he screamed at me get the [expletive] out of his club,” Moone wrote in a text message.

The responding officer described his conversation with Moone as contentious, writing that she was “uncooperative,” raised her voice and refused to answer questions. The officer then went to the club and spoke with Boria, who said that Moone was being “aggressive” and not following business policy. And she said she explicitly told officers she was assaulted, and that the officers took a photograph of the injury to her knee. But no arrests were made after the call, and the police report does not make any mention of the any physical altercation between Moone and Boria.

Asked about the omission of the assault allegation from the police report, Worcester Police Sgt. Kerry Hazelhurst acknowledged Moone had said she was assaulted — but described her as uncooperative with officers and insistent on re-entering the club after being given a no-trespass order.

“The officers looked into both sides of the story and determined it to be a minor incident,” Hazelhurst wrote in an email. “There were several witnesses interviewed and they all contradicted Ms. Moone’s interpretation of the incident. Ms. Moone stated that she knew lawyers and would handle the matter on her own. As a result, the officers did not review the security footage and cleared the call.”

“I am traumatized. I do not think any of the females working there should be physically abused from management. And I do not think it’s fair that Worcester police did nothing but tell me it’s a he-said-she-said and to go home,” Moone told MassLive in a text message. “They saw my injury.”

Melissa Moone is virtually invisible on the world wide internets. But her voice in this recording is everything you dreamed it would be and more:

Holy ravioli! She sounds like a carton of Newport 100’s that’s been panhandling outside of the Burlington Mall.

This was the best part:

Another former dancer at the club said in an interview that she had received at least five phone calls from other dancers telling her about the tipout increases. Moone also showed MassLive text messages from the hours before her firing in which she complains to her son about the rising fees.

Yup, this woman regularly complains to her son about the rising fees she has to pay in order to take her clothes off in front of horny men on Route 20. That sounds like an awkward text message to get from you Mom. Her kids aren’t exactly young either. The Norwich Bulletin wrote about one of her sons in 2012:

Melissa Moone has three children by three different men. Zach, who now lives with her in Worcester, Mass., and Isaiah carry her maiden name. Both of their fathers have been “in and out of jail” for “all kinds of different things,” according to Melissa Moone. Her youngest son, Leito Demaio, is also living with his mother in Worcester and goes to Worcester Tech.

This June, he will become the first in the immediate Moone family to graduate properly from high school, as his mother and older brother both went the GED route. Melissa Moone is clearly looking forward to that day and maybe one more.

Melissa Moone has a new boyfriend and a life that she is trying to put back together. She is going to school and trying to finish up some courses that will allow her to get into a nursing program, one of the reasons for the move to Worcester.

Turns out she’s originally from Killingly, which is starting to make sense. The Connecticut Corridor probably provides 80% of Worcester-Webster strippers. It’s their number one export. She’s also in her 40’s, and her kids appear to all be in their early to mid 20’s. Realistically it was only a matter of time until she ended up on Turtleboy.

Hey here’s an idea – if you don’t want your wages to be at the mercy of some sketchball running a “gentleman’s club” on Route 20, try not getting knocked up by strange men over and over again. Or, I dunno – graduate from high school. When the first person in your family to graduate from high school is your middle child who you basically abandoned to move to Worcester, pursue a career as a “nurse,” and eventually become a day shift stripper, you know you done made some poor life decisions.

This place just looks so shady:

When I drive by there I just no desire whatsoever to go inside. It looks like a miserable place where MCAS scores go to die. I feel like strip clubs should have flashy lights and look glamorous and inviting. This is a dirt parking lot next to a bunch of abandoned trailers, jammed in between a bunch of used car dealerships. I can only imagine the clientele you’d be greeted by inside.

With that said, I had no idea this was how strip clubs work. They have to pay to take their clothes off? They have to split their tips? So the chicks who know how to work it in the backroom have to go halfsies with the hefalump who’s just going through the motions? Where are the Teamsters at? Someone please unionize these chicks. They’ve done so much for us during bachelor party season, and when our friends turned 18.

The fact of the matter is that this chick probably wasn’t making the expected amount of tips because her old ass can’t make it rain like the rest of the GED express can. So she’s looking for a quick and easy pay day, trying to act like they kicked her ass on the way out, when in fact you can hear in that tape that nothing like that actually happened.

The worst part is that some of her fellow former dancers have a class action suit going against Centerfold’s, she just decided not to join it:

Four other dancers later joined the suit, which has now been filed as a class action. Moone is not among them; she said she agreed to settlement terms offered to dancers to not join the suit and was paid $500.

HAAAHAHHAHA!! From what I’ve read these strippers are actually gonna win. If Centerfold’s is really making them pay to dance and pool their tips together so that the bootleg DJ spinning pirated tracks off of Napster can get his cut, they’re looking at a nice little pay day. So they offered their dancers $500 to get back to work, assuming they’d be dumb enough to take it. Most did, including Melisa Moonani.

Oops!!

Then again this is the woman leading the class action:

Oh well, just let the lawyers do the talking.

The bottom line is that she wasn’t really injured during this incident, because if she was then the cops would’ve taken her more seriously. She probably had some bruising from her latest round of donkey punches, but that’s about it. So yea, it’s shitty what these places do to these women, but no one’s forcing them to work there. Just sayin.

Misty is the shizznit. Her son is a riot too. Why not look into this Fire fighter thing? If it is as unscrupulous as she says, that would be quite the next Turtle investigative expose? I don’t belivee for a minute, her projection that Uncle is friends with the management. But if no looksie into it, is it possible? hmm. Again, doubtful. But she is singing like a canary though! Are local FPD employees embroiled in what adds up to prositution, drugs, and coercion? Hmmm. Maybe we send in Leigha Genduso, once the Nut ward releases her, she should be on the market for a new career.

I know nothing other than what was written in the article. I agree this woman and her family are clearly the dregs of society.
However my take away at the end was this club is the problem not the stripper. They already have a wage theft issue and they increased the fees? Sounds like the strip club management is the problem here. Sounds like they’re robbing the employees and ruffing them up if they don’t comply.

Police report also said that Paul said “a bouncer escorted her out”! Well that bouncer is Frazier, Worc firefighter who is standing behind Paul, Centerfolds manager, in the video! So no she was not escorted out she was shove out onto the pavement from Paul! And bow people from the club have this turtle lil bitch writing this story to try and ruin her life some more? U all wanna talk ill start dropping names and talking too! I know exactly whats going on here! Keep it Robin and Paul! Oh and Robin, u were the same stripper trash in that very same shack brothel, until the pimp manager saved u so people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones!

          March 17, 2018 at 5:51 pm

So basically, Paul assaults the dancers, Robin over serves the customers and the dancers, bartender Kara does the same thing, John forces girls to do sexual acts and sniff coke w him, but the dancer who was assaulted and injured is the one being shamed online? They have kids, I think their kids should know how mommy and daddy make their money! U wanna involve kids in an article that has nothing t do with them? Well freedom of speach works both ways! Get both sides next time turtle twat! And btw, your spot has already been blown cause its been confirmed that u, lil turtle cum quat, are in fact, friends w Centerfolds management! Lol how convenient!

He also just got out of rehab for fentynqk pat hes and there is screen shot proof of him saying this! Thats right Shaun! Pops must be proud! What great characters on the Worc fire department! A strip club bouncer who witnesses an assault and a woman beater whos been an active pill addict for over 9 years now! Lets nit forget he failed his first drug test on the department for cocaine! And his extensive atrest record was closed but I got a nice copy i can show the world! How can Worc police or fire be trusted with these people on the department?

Why is it you just assume the police are in the right? Telling the truth? As far as I know, strippers always had to pay to dance, nothing new, just a increase.

$100,000 plus salary for driving around doggies in a “decked out” Mass
State police SUV? (Plus you do not have to share tips.) Just like Leigha Genduso. (Another Centerfold’s alum, just like you.) Get your resume in before the other “candidates.”

The cops probably figured the bruises on her knees were due to the extra “service” she provides to the clientele.

Ok so she is right. It is illegal for clubs to charge you to work and to split tips. But she was so dramatic. And mid 40s with that voice she probably isn’t even making $100 a night. And $500???? I got about $20k when I sued the club. She’s must of needed that money bad.

While a case could be made to pool tips from the BAR for the DJ, the dancers deserve 100% of the tips they earn. NOBODY goes to the strip club to listen to the DJs. They could take the night off, replace them with a jukebox, and no one would notice.
