Normally, Facebook group dramallamas don’t make a blip on the TurtleRadar, but this was sent to us this morning and we couldn’t ignore it:
Emily O’Sullivan, a lovely turtlerider from the South Shore who also happens to be a member of MassTuning, put out this little ditty of a mock headline. Not gonna lie, my little turtleheart was brimming with rainbows and shit when I saw it. Emily, if you ever wanna submit a test blog, we’re waiting!
So, who is Dan, what is MassTuning, and why did Dan get sent to the banned canyon? Get your popcorn, turtles, because this has all the makings of turning into a shitstorm, a la Diesels of New England (DONE) from a few months back.
Dan Henderson is a highly respected member of the local car community who has been sharing his insane technical knowledge about cars on MassTuning for years. A little blip:
So technical, that most people who write shit like this get paid the big bucks on sites like Jalopnik and CarThrottle. Dan does it out of love and to share knowledge with peons like you and me in lowly car groups.
Dan was banned for “bullying” someone with his difference of opinion. Yep. MassTuning is the FB group equivalent of Anqueefa. God Forbid you disagree with someone, because then you’re a fascist pig and deserve the banhammer.
A disagreement.over.air.suspension. YOU GUYS! I’m screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaming here – almost as loud as I was last night when Jennifuh the Norwood Spunktrumpet came on Turtleboy Live furiously rippin’ Newport 100s at 8 months prego and didn’t know what conspiracy meant.
The disagreement was with this bear
Thanasi Chalkiadakis who has an affinity for touching bear bits other than his own

The members of MassTuning have gone absolutely apeshit with Dan’s banning, a slew of hashtags and memes cropping up in solidarity, calling for his reinstatement to the group:
The members have also gone rogue, creating their own FB page called DanTuning. In the last roughly 12 hours, it’s amassed just under 900 members. Clearly, Dan is not the menace Thenazi and Squirta have made him out to be. They’re just some boyos on a power trip cuz they ran outta vape juice and now they’re vangry.
The posts on MassTuning in support of Dan are now coming down as fast as they’re going up, and anecdotes suggest that anyone who so much as mentions Dan at this juncture are getting walloped with the banhammer
with more and more overzealous admins pouring out of the woodwork, flexin’ those FB ban fingers every other second. Lookin’ at you, “Kali”
Yep, you do. Back to your cave!
Anyway, whatever you do, do not go to MassTuning’s Facebook page and post this link. I’d really hate for them to see how stupid they are.

I just realized why I don’t read some of the TB articles. It’s headlines like this. Why can’t you just use a headline that catches the readers attention and not make up words that make me just want to scroll right down? Your articles are worth reading until I get to words that a 10 year boy would create and ask myself why I am getting caught up in drama. It would be so much more informative if you just stick to the facts and not dumb down the article with nonsense.
