So women (mostly women) on Facebook often join these yard sale groups where people are buying, selling, and giving away all sorts of crap. Most people on there are great and they just wanna help each other out. But some people go on there just to be scam artists. So when we see something like this we like to alert the populace so that no one else falls for their gypsy tricks.

Today’s scam is actually kind of genius if it wasn’t so unethical. It involves baby formula, which is expensive as shit. The problem is that kids grow out of baby formula and Moms have all this leftover powder that’s of no use to them. So I guess they like to give it away. Here’s a repost from December 14, 2015, which was ORIGINALLY posted in February of 2015, from a woman named Erin in one of these groups:

13493318_1759854180899192_2109419658_o

As you can see she is responding to a woman named Julia Daley, who gladly accepted the free stuff with a sob story about her kid being on a feeding tube. Erin being the nice person that she is gave her everything for free. You cannot see Julia’s response because Erin took this screenshot and Julia has since blocked her. Here’s why:

13467716_1759855050899105_1853679917_o

13453024_1759855064232437_987719138_o

Yup, that’s right. She gets it for free by using her “my kid is on a feeding tube story” and then she sells it wholesale. Profit margin infinity!!! Can’t go wrong, as long as you can live with the fact that you’re using a made up sick baby to scam real Moms. Erin saw this and blew up her spot all over Facebook. Thus the reason why she is blocked.

Now, is there anything illegal about this? Not that we know of. Does she have a right to make money in America? Absolutely. But making up a sick baby in order to do that kind of makes you a sheisty individual. Just sayin.

Anyway, we wanted to hear what Julia had to say. Is it true that she doesn’t really have a baby? If so, why does she have more Ensure than Babies R Us? But since she knows people are onto her schemes we had to go undercover for our interview with Julia. You be the judge and decide if she is telling the truth……

So let me get this straight. She doesn’t have a kid, but yet she has somehow stockpiled enough baby food to survive the apocalypse. And she doesn’t get any of this baby food for free, nor does she make a profit when she sells it. At best she breaks even, and she does so solely out of the goodness of her own heart.

And she decided to PAY for the formula that was ADVERTISED for free, just because she likes spending money. And this formula that she DEFINITELY paid for was going to her friend for her baby, because for whatever reason her friend couldn’t go on Facebook and get the free formula herself.

THEN she found out that her friend’s baby couldn’t even eat that formula because for some reason she didn’t ask her about it before spending money on it. So she was stuck with all this other baby food that she didn’t know what to do with. Thus why she started posting it on every Mommy and yard sale group in the 508. And just by looking at the groups she’s in, it’s pretty clear that this girl has quite the racket going on:

She’s even expanded to Franklin County. Colrain is in Franklin County!!! Seriously, Winchendon, Colrain, Fitchburg – these are like breeding grounds for unwed teenage mothers looking to buy half priced baby formula. It’s actually a genius marketing scheme.

And you could tell from our conversation that Julia was very intrigued by our proposal, but her lawyer told her not to spill the beans so she couldn’t come out all the way. Just look at the way it ended. If we really wanted to start doing this Julia and Turtleboy could make bank. But now that this blog is published I guess the jig is up. Sorry Julia, you missed your chance.

I like how she tried for the ” I’m only a 22 year old kid ” line… that’s good… trying to rationalize her behavior away by channeling the innocence of childhood.. as if… this bitch is clearly a psychopath, and there’s no hard cure either… let’s hope she doesn’t fall into politics someday, because then we’ll all be fucked

I had an Ashley stuff me for over $15k in rent and $40k in damage to a rental property. Cops told me it was somehow illegal to shoot him, stupid laws. Anyway when I took him to Court to evict him he declared he was destitute poor and I never got a cent, despite all the shitbag’s posts from Disneyworld and Foxwoods.

He was earning money on the side, never declaring it. I found out exactly how and ratted him out to the IRS and Mass DOR. They both came after him, forced him to get a job where his wages are now garnished: either that or jail.

I suggest that you do the same, even though this little flower hasn’t hurt you personally. Opportunists like this are most likely getting WIC, EBT and sucking from the taxpayer tit and should be exposed and punished.

    Shameful. Thanks for exposing.

“Ashley”. Where did that come from? Stupid autocorrect. Shithole.

Ashley, shithole… same thing if you are talking Losapio anyway.

This is why having rental properties is tough. I rented to a “nice” couple who decided that after 3 months they wanted to divorce. Stuck on a 2 year lease in the place I was willing to let them go but the wife wanted to stay. Well, 4 months later I drive past and the grass looks disgusting and there was piles of junk on the side of the house. I pulled over and knocked no one answered. I went back a few hours later and she was there. She let me in…. Holy SHIT. She had turned into a serious hoarder after her divorce. The whole fucking place was filled with garbage. I’m talking all over the fucking floor… Dinner dishes, dog shit, old Chinese food containers. There was a sewing machine in the middle of the kitchen floor. Needless to say I had a stroke and it took months to have her evicted. It then cost about $5k to clean it and fix damages. Never got a godamned cent.

So now, I go through serious background checks on properties. I also no longer rent to young people or newly weds…lol. I want to see 4 years of steady income at a good job, references both personal and work. I also ask for a credit check. No one below a 675. I also ask for a criminal background check. After I request all of this, most people walk away but I have found good people since this and haven’t been fucked over since.

Let’s not forget about the people who don’t pay rent or are consistently late. Those are even worse, especially when they have children. My heart gets the best of me.

The “rest of the story” behind my tale is that his wife is a girl we took in because she was a friend of my daughter who became homeless. She lived with us for two years, met this guy who was a very hard worker. I needed to plunk money into real estate and bought this place as an investment. Gave them rent at half market rate, bent over backwards for them and they turned on me. My home was burglarized to the tune of $40K and I suspect this floater was the one who did it as little things disappeared one by one while he worked here. Only when I did an inventory or jewelry, coins and tools did I realize the magnitude of the loss. Cops were useless as there was no trail nor evidence, just suspicion.

Like the Taliban I have time on my side. Unlike Indian Gods he doesn’t have eyes on the back of his head.

My current renters are over 65′ pay early and have offers to buy the place already. Considering it. Not enough to break even but enough to dig out of my hole.

Sorry to hear your story Fiesty, figured a lawyer would be smarter than a Physicist when it came to legal matters but we both got suckered! Hope all is working out now.

Yes all is working out. The funny part is I worked for 6 months in debt collection for creditors. They would hire me to try and squeeze blood out of stones, hence why I am familiar with court room 13 in Worcester more than I care to admit.

I knew my risks of ever getting my money back before I rented to these people but I was new then and was not thorough in background checks. They seemed so nice and happy. Not falling for that shit again!

Small claims only works when the people who owe money are employed. Even if they don’t show up, you pay the capias fee and if they still don’t come it’s apparent that their wages will be garnished due to a judgement. In my case, the husband was the sole provider (unbeknownst to me at that time) so when he left, she was relying on SSI to pay the rent. She paid on time, but was filthy and a hoarder so she had to go.

I don’t know if I were you, I wouldn’t sell if they pay their rent on time. Try to recoup some losses first. If they are adamant about buying to the point they are house shopping, then cave in so you don’t have to look for new renters again.

            Good luck!!

I have told many friends who think “oh, it’s going ot be so easy, wee’ll just rent out a few rooms/aprtments and make a ton of money!” to just watch a few episodes of People’s Court, and realize that this is; 1 – only a small tip of the iceberg of headaches to deal with when renting, and 2 – read ALL the laws, especially in this state. Massachusetts has so many laws protecting tenants that I can’t understand how anyone can make enough money to justify all the headaches. I pride myself on being a pretty good tenant (not perfect, but no one is), but in hearing just a few stories, I’d never rent out anything EVER. Too much risk of trouble with no real hope of a return.

She said she was trying to help a friend in need. What’s so wrong with helping others? The problem with the world is there just isn’t enough people like Julia who honestly care about others and wear their heart on their sleeves!

You can not be serious….. Right? I don’t know where to go with that, because if you are serious, I somehow doubt that your IQ tops 80. I hope you have a good job Target, because your going to need it. Helping all those “good people”!!!
