Doherty High School in Worcester is being savagely attacked online by mobs of social justice warriors who have been inspired to do so because of a misguided teenager, motivated by Colin Kaepernick, and sent by a white guy who pretends to be black and leads the BLM movement – Shaun King:

If you’re feeling frustrated because your daily encounters involve racism, and you feel like you’re being discriminated against because of your race, I feel you on that one. But can you not shit all over cops on 9/11? Is that too much to ask for? Because that’s what you’re doing when you do this. You can say you’re refusing to stand for the flag for whatever reason you want. But ultimately you’re just doing it for attention on a day in which we commemorate the heroism of first responders.

Just for the record, Doherty lost this game by a touchdown to Leominster. The point of playing football is to win the game. Just sayin. And if I was this kid’s coach, he’s suspended and it’s not even remotely debatable. You play to win the game. That’s it. If you get dressed up so that you can play social justice warrior on company time, then you get spanked. This is dumb to do to begin with, but to do it and your team loses just makes you look like a total loser.

Anyway, this is beyond selfish, and the punishment is completely appropriate. He’s not suspended from school. He’s suspended for one football game. This kid is playing a team game. Teams need to stay together, not become divided. And you know what a great way to divide a team is? Talking about politics. Welcome to every Thanksgiving in the Turtleboy household ever. What if there are kids on the teams whose fathers are cops? What if they’re like most cops and they’ve dealt with increased amounts of verbal abuse from people they are protecting and serving as a result of these misguided protests? That’s the kind of shit that divides a team. Suspending him for a game is a generous punishment. But I fear now that this 15 minutes of fame is gonna go to this kid’s head. This kid took a team sport and made it all about him.

And as “brave” as this poor, confused teenager is, he doesn’t know the first thing about “oppression.” He goes to taxpayer funded public schools. Football isn’t exactly a cheap sport for schools to put on. But he plays it for free. This is a good thing. It’s what makes America great – kids like this get to experience a childhood filled with games, an active social life, and whatever else they wanna do because America’s a free country. For a high school student to complain about “oppression” when they’ve never lived on their own, had a job, or had any real responsibilities at all, is utterly ridiculous. Obviously.

But it’s cool though, because he’s basically the same exact thing as Martin Luther King:

screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-40-32-am

Rock solid parallel right there. Literally no difference. Some day this kid will have a Holiday.

Here’s some other stuff he’s retweeted:

screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-40-49-am

Your “four” fathers did indeed have slaves. But luckily we got rid of slavery. Long time ago. And luckily the flag does not represent them. It represents the country they risked their lives to create, which enables our government to rid itself of evils such as racism and government sanctioned segregation.

screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-41-05-am

Sorry buddy, that’s not quite true. I can’t speak for all white men, but as a “white man,” I do want to see you prosper. I want everyone to prosper. If everyone succeeds that means more tax base and nicer roads and better schools. It also means less shitty looking parts of town, crime, drugs, etc. But I guess this kid believes that his white principal and football coach are really just oppressing you. Life is really hard when you’re 17 in America.

Keep in mind, this is the weekend commemorating the 15th anniversary as 9/11. As old as Turtle ]boy feels saying this, we’ve reached a point where kids genuinely have zero recollection of it. And it’s only gonna get worse. September 11th just doesn’t mean to this kid what it means to the rest of America that remembers it. That day is ingrained in our brains forever. That day we saw hundreds of cops and firefighters will run into a smoking pile of steel that’s about to collapse on them, if it meant they could POSSIBLY save one life. It still haunts me when I think about the first time I saw those towers.

This kid doesn’t remember any of that. Cops just don’t carry the same weight with him as they did to us. It’s beyond disrespectful for him to do this, but he honestly doesn’t know any better. Because this is what Shaun King, Colin Kaepernick, and everyone else making money off of this likes to do after the young ones. They’re the easiest to manipulate. He’s just seeing quick little one liners on Twitter and he’s easily impressionable. That’s it. Doesn’t mean he’s a bad kid. His mind is just polluted with nonsense and lies from people like Shaun King who are financially profiting off of racial discord in America. Just ask the kid where he learned it all from:

screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-40-56-am

This is why Colin Kaepernick is an asshole. I don’t care if he’s a moron. Just don’t brainwash the next generation to be as dumb as you are.

Just for the record, none of this is about free speech. Free speech protects you from the government banning your speech. You have the right to spend all day protesting for black lives matter. Knock yourself out. But you can’t do it during a football game, because you’re there to play football. Got it?

And don’t get me wrong – those kids who wrote racist shit to him on whatever messenger they were using, they suck right now too. Not cool. But just because some loser kids are calling you mean things on social media doesn’t mean you’re oppressed. So someone was an asshole to you online. Welcome to this debaucherous place we call the Internet. It’s a dark and evil place, because it’s an unfortunate side effect of freedom. Just block people you don’t like and move on with your life. Unless they live in their parents’ basemen in Fitchburg, then they never go away.

Anyway, check out what’s happened since Shaun King shared it with his millions of followers. First some West Side SJW chimed in:

screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-21-17-am

Wait……this woman is a professor at Holy Cross, and she’s gonna be harassing the secretaries at Doherty High School and is leading a lynch mob to support a kid who went out of his way to shit all over first responders on the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Nice lady:

11751877_10106479372497510_538320038410132352_n

54496_10102584312394180_845555007_o

And of course she passes Doherty on her way to Holy Cross, which means she lives on the West Side. For those of you not familiar with Worcester, the West Side is where all the white people live. So here is yet another social justice warrior who intentionally has segregated herself to the “whites only” part of the city, chastising a diverse high school about racial justice. She teaches sociology (of course) and she could live in Vernon Hill for much cheaper and be closer to work. But instead she chooses the more expensive part of the city with all white people. But she’s totally one of the good ones because she’s gonna bother some secretaries tomorrow.

It’s not just her either – look what she began:

screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-21-44-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-21-50-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-01-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-08-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-14-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-22-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-29-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-34-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-42-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-49-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-22-56-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-23-01-am screen-shot-2016-09-12-at-12-23-08-am

I feel so bad right now for coach Mulcahy, AD Shea, and Principal Maloney. I feel worse for the secretaries that are gonna have to deal with this nonsense that some misguided teenager started. Will they cave or do the right thing? That’s the question. If they give in they’re basically letting some kid threaten and bully them into submission in the name of social justice. If they actually want to do their job as educators, they’ll pull this kid in and explain to him that he can be an Internet hero or he can be a football player – but Doherty High School football can’t afford to have him be both.

Please see West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette. It is a ruling that states that it was unconstitutional for the school to suspend a student for sitting during the plege of allegiance as punishing him violated his right to free speech.

You know I might not agree with putting on the display these people have however i believe in the Constitution and out rights. People have given their lives to ensure we have the freedom to stand or not for our and agree or not I will defend a person’s right to make their statement.

Forced patriotism is a huge tenant in fascism.

Please understand that if you want freedom than understand others are entitled to it also and may hold opinions that go contrary to your own. Otherwise you are no different than Trigglypuff and twigglypuff showing up at a panel and making noise and screaming because they disagreed with the message.

Backup quarterback, 1 game suspension, nuff said. Only difference is if he’s in uniform or not. As for the crazy Holy Cross lady, she lives on the west side but drives by Doherty everyday. Know what that tells me? She’s afraid of using May Street which has a lot less traffic but has that May and Main Street intersection in the worst part of town and she’ll prefer the traffic of Highland street if it means she can avoid that part of town.

The Coach and the Principal did the right thing here. You do have the freedom to speak your mind but bear in mind that there are always consequences to your actions. A one game suspension is appropriate. If he does it a second, suspend him for the season.

I have zero tolerance for people who disrespect this country. My suggestion to them is that they are free to move to country that is more to their liking but then again I am only exercising my first amendment rights as well. For the record I’m a US Navy veteran.

I would like to protest Black Males 13-40 are 3% of population but commit 47% of all cop homicides and 52% of all murders in this country.

He got what he wanted his 15 minutes of fame. Now of corse these school secretaries will bear the brunt of it. What the administration should have done is nothing. What the coach should have done is just let him sit on the bench. Don’t play him. From some of the comments he cares more about himself then the team. Let him sit on the bench and this kids ego will probably show them and quit.

That lady is a professor? You are kidding right? Maybe she babysits somewhere or works at a daycare.

Coach Mulcahy, I have a ton of respect for you,

Don’t openly suspend the kid. It is up to the coachs discretion who plays. The kid can have the whole game to kneel as much as he wants on the sideline while the players who stood for the anthem can play. Problem solved.

Occidental College had a 9/11 Never Forget Project vandalized by a group that kicked, crushed, and snapped American flags and then threw the flags in the trash can. Then put up posters and flyers that shamed the victims of 9/11.

WTF is wrong with people???? Common sense and RESPECT has been lost to a whole generation.

Everyone has the right the protest. However, there are consequences. I hope this teenager and other SJWers understand that when they apply for college or future jobs, the hiring managers will see their documented behavior and comments online and most likely pass on them. No Human Resources department or company wants to deal with a person who could pose a problem in the workplace. Of course, the SJWers will cry discrimination, but what they’ll fail to see is that they’re not being avoided because of color. They’re going to be avoided because they’re pains in the you-know-what and legal liabilities. SJWers should hire each other because no one else can work with them without the threat of being accused of racism or a microaggression by the water cooler.

American taxpayers are financing the football program, along with other athletics for Worcester Public Schools, correct? Since money for Worcester Public Schools true purpose, academics, is down this year and not expected to increase anytime soon, why not redirect money away from sports and back towards the classroom where it’s desperately needed? If students can’t appreciate the recreation being provided to them on the taxpayers’ hard work, then the taxpayers can put their money towards education. Why should taxpayers be disrespected like this? Go throw a ball around and kneel all you want on your own time and your own dime.

So I can’t believe how this has blown up! My son has been friends with mike for many years. They are schoolmates. I have known him for many years. He is an incredible athlete but not a team player. He always wants to be the superstar regardless of the consequences. It’s unfortunate because I always say to my husband the only thing standing in michaels ways is himself. As a teammate he is selfish and is always quick to blame some else when things go wrong. His behavior Friday night does not shock me. He is a showboater and could have the world by the balls if he wasn’t so selfish. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but once again it’s all about Michael. How is this affecting his team? Probably never thought about it

I read the article here on TBS recently regarding this topic with the Steven A. Smith video form ESPN. I cannot stand Steven A. Smith. I think he is one bigoted human being and when he tries to emphasize sports he sounds like he is some sort of Reverend with all kinds of racial undertones. No wonder Skip skipped. Plus that show sucked anyway. And so doesn’t ESPN.

Anyway – I have been personally evaluating this topic viewing and reading many dialogues back and forth. I thought one of the best conversations on this was last weeks “Inside the NFL” on showtime when Brandon Marshall, Jim Brown, Boomer Esiason and Phil Simms spent some time talking about this whole topic. I have or am leaning toward this conclusion:

I served my (our) country in the United States Army. I stand for the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. I am a true blue Patriot no-holds-barred. If in uniform I salute at the position of attention. If not then hand over heart with baseball cap off cranium.

But you know something – that’s just me and I know I am not alone. But really the reality of it all is that the American flag represents freedom. Which means the freedom to not do what I do if you do not want to do that. You do what you want. Express yourself however you feel represents you. This is what the flag means to me. In my opinion the only way this divisiveness in our country will come to some sort of cease fire and some sort of assemblance is to at least try to realize this basic concept.

And then we can all move on forward…
