WCVBTwo separate incidents of vandalism involving Black Lives Matter posters have sparked outrage at Boston College. Last Friday, the two posters were defaced with the words “Don’t” being written on them in the same dormitory. In the midst of midterms, Boston College’s student body president spent Monday speaking with school officials and organizing an assembly.

“She put up a sign that said Black Lives Matter, and that is not a revolutionary thing to say,” Akosua Opokua-Achampong said. “Black lives do matter and I don’t understand where the contestation should come in any way, shape or form.”

The student who posted one of the signs on her dorm room told Newscenter 5 that the incident made her feel less safe and less welcome on campus. It’s a sentiment echoed by her fellow classmates.

“It’s very hard for us,” Abner Montfleury said. “(It’s) during midterm season and something like that happened. We’re kind of emotionally drained and tired of seeing things like this on campus.”

The university said in a statement, “Boston College condemns all acts of hate and is committed to holding any student who violates our standards accountable. We call upon all members of the BC community to treat each other with dignity and respect and to stand united against intolerance in any form.”

Students plan to hold a demonstration on campus Friday as a way to show they refuse to stay silent.

“Visibility matters. You’re talking about black lives don’t matter? Yes they do, and here all these people who also care and feel the same way,” Opokua-Achampong said.

Stop the fight!!! So you’re telling me that someone wrote the words, “do not” in pencil on a handwritten sign that was going to end up in the recycling bin by the end of the semester? Man, it’s hard being oppressed!! Luckily it wasn’t written in chalk. Then this would be an all out crisis!!

I’ve seen a lot of ridiculous race hoaxes before, but this one takes the cake. Often it’s a student spray painting racist shit on their own door so that they can become the victim de jour. But usually they try a little harder than this. “Do not?” That’s the best you could come up with?

And of course students, who are in the middle of midterms, have used it as an opportunity to skip class today, knowing that they’d get media coverage from freaking HELICOPTERS!!

https://twitter.com/President1Trump/status/920682466448412672

Those poor, poor souls. How will they ever make it through this alive? Just a reminder, this is all happening because an unknown person wrote “do not” on a piece of paper taped to a door.

Seriously though, just admit that you’re looking for a reason to not go to class. Just admit that you’re doing this because you know your idiot professors, consumed with white guilty, will give you an extension on your midterm.

Yup, a white professor lecturing a bunch of rich white kids about how their skin color is what helped give them a boost in life, not the fact that they come from affluent communities and two parent homes. This is what the oppressed look like at Boston College:

They have their fists in the air. How revolutionary!!

And they all go to a school that costs over $50,000 a year to attend. These kids right here are the definition of privilege. Ya know why I didn’t go to Boston College? Because I couldn’t afford it, and you can get just as good of an education at any state school. Believe me, there’s no shortage of brainwashing at UMass, Bridgewater or Westfield State. The girl on the left is the student body President, which means she was elected by her predominantly white peers to be their leader. That’s how “racist” Boston College is right now.

President Achampong is from Maplewood New Jersey:

There’s hardly a more expensive place to live in this country than Essex County, NJ. Here’s what a 4 bedroom house with less than 2,000 square feet gets you in Maplewood:

$600K. That’s what slumming it in Maplewood looks like. Most homes are much more expensive.

And how much are her parents paying her to go to BC?

$65,000 a year!!!

Sure, she comes from wealth, and is going to an insanely expensive private college where she’ll graduate with a useless degree in Gender Studies and whine about student loans. But she also saw a sign that someone wrote “do not” on with a pencil. People in Puerto Rico who are without food, running water, and electricity feel bad for her now.

So what exactly is Boston College supposed to do about this? What is the purpose of walking about of class?

So……what do you want exactly? More hashtags? Mandatory diversity training? The administration said they’d investigate and punish whoever did this. Of course they will never find whoever did it, because just like at Westfield State, Salem State, Framingham State, and every other college where these race hoaxes happen, the perpetrator is an imaginary bogeyman. Deep in their hearts administration and campus police are suspicious of the whistle blowers who are using this as an opportunity to victimize themselves. But they would never dare call them out, because that would make them racist too.

Of course white suburban folk at BC are eating this shit up too:

You can always count on an army of gullible white guilt millenials to buy into every race hoax hook, line, and sinker.

Anyway, black lives do matter. No one who matters has ever suggested otherwise. That’s why black lives matter is a stupid organization. Because their entire existence revolves around a catchphrase that no one really disputes. Of course what it really means is “fuck the police,” and “I’m a victim.” You can put a black lives matter sign on your door because it’s your right. Just don’t whine when some dingaling writes five letters in pencil right next to it.

I ran into this when I was at Worcester State and had to go to through an inane Sociology class that taught me how, as a straight white male, I was the cause of all the problems in the world. They also tried to convince me that I will never understand or be able to empathize with people who aren’t like me. So the real lesson here is, why try? Do they realize that by pegging all of the blame on people, and telling them they’ll never “truly know what it feels like”, that this will only perpetuate this rift that they seem intent on creating?
Come to think of it, I think that is exactly what they want… it justifies more meaningless ‘advocacy’ and ‘training’ and ‘conversations’, along with ‘diversity officer’ positions in every company, government, and agency. It’s sad that they have to try and convince people that they’re bad in order to justify their own existence and their own hatred disguised as concern.

    My Dad works at BC

If these kids were smart they would ask for a audit of how their tuition is spent. Look into the exorbitant amount of money spent to keep the Ivy League image of the new buildings. No over sight and no worries due to idiots paying for a liberal arts degree.

No liberal arts degree should cost 50k. You could teach this shit from a empty warehouse with faculty.

The whole incident could have been avoided if only someone had an eraser, but with the cost of tuition the poor, oppressed students just can’t afford an eraser. On a serious and logical note, don’t look at it,do not waste the time of day to bother or just throw the offending sign in the trash. Words are just letters put together a word or sentence has no power in and of it’s own right,it has only the power people assign to it. Stop the stupidity please millennials words cant hurt you unless you believe what is written! But I suppose such a simple solution would not result in time off or media attention.

Another fake racism story? We will probably never know even if as in Missouri turns out to be a lie.

I drove through the rural Western Mass hippie towns of Ashfield and Cummington the other day and I saw a ton of ‘Black Lives Matter’ signs in people’s yards up there. The last time a black guy was in Ashfield or Cummington was probably like 2005 and he was probably a FedEx delivery driver who got lost.
But man, do those signs make white hippies out in the sticks feel good about themselves!

$65K a year to attend Boston College and none of these kids have heard of a pencil eraser? Is that something they’ll learn while pursuing their Masters degrees?

My plan is genius. Do things for 8 years that kills race relations and make white people actually hate black people because of it. Then say “look at the Oppression”. My god this is genius.

Bunch of nuts these people are.

I wonder if the school would admit if it knew who did it. What a disaster! Imagine they caught the person who wrote “do not” in pencil, what are they going to do? Expel them? Nope! Then they would have a lawsuit on their hands.

Schools need to tell these idiots to suck it up and stop acting like trivial things, such as this, are important.

Also, If I went to this school I would absolutely do things like this. Why? I would feel like a God if something I did resulted in a mass walkout covered by the media. That would be awesome!

SIGN #1: we have a sign where someone wrote DON’T between LIVES and MATTER. What if it was a black kid that doesn’t feel that their life matters, because of all of us mean ol’ whiteys?

SIGN #2: they wrote DO NOT after BLACK. So it reads BLACK DO NOT LIVES MATTER. That’s not even English.

” …. disproportionate funding and educational support??”
W.T.A.F.???? There are more scholarships and funding for minorities; they could have a crappy high school GPA and STILL get into most frickin colleges. Colleges will take just about anyone who has free funding/scholarships these days.

It should NOT matter what a students background or skin color is in order to get scholarships and funding. Those who worked hard and got good grades/GPA in high school should be the ones reaping the benefits. They are the ones that are going to be successful with academics and actually finish in 4 years.

I’m sick of rampant lack of accountability — blaming others for ____ reason. Eff them!

We have a college Freshman (not in Mass thank goodness) and hear all kinds of stories.
