Tonight was by far the greatest night the Republican Party has had since Ronald Reagan was President. I don’t care what you think of Donald Trump – his speech tonight was electric. But more than anything the tone of the night marked a noticeable change in what the Republican party is all about. I remember in 2008 and 2012 the speakers were all consumed with meaningless social issues bullshit like gay marriage. Everyone who spoke was white, boring, and yawned us all to death about how their families went to church every Sunday.

Those days are clearly over.

Tonight the Republicans had a gay entrepreneur, a black pastor from South Carolina, and several women speak on behalf of the candidate. This never would’ve happened with losers like Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, or John Kasich, none of whom were around all week. We heard speeches about equal pay for women, maternity leave, helping the disenfranchised gain a voice, ending corporate influence in politics, helping black people in urban areas find jobs, and protecting the LGBTQ community. All of these things got wild applause from the audience.

In other words, this was a bizarro world Republican convention.

But by far the greatest speaker tonight was the first one – pastor Mark Burns.

Now THIS is a pastor Turtleboy can get behind. If this guy were my pastor I’d never miss a Sunday service. Not only because I’d wanna hear him talk, but because he scares the shit out of me. I feel like he’s the kind of pastor who will come to your house and drag you out of bed to hear the word of God.

More importantly, this is what the Republican Party needs. The elephant in the room (no pun intended) is that there aren’t many black people in the room at Republican rallies. Although PBS made it a point to zoom in on all 10 of them during Mark Burns’ speech:

But America is a country where white people are slowly becoming a smaller percentage of the country, so this business plan simply doesn’t have long term sustainability.

That’s why the Mark Burns speech tonight was so important. And let me tell you something – Mark Burns has ZERO tolerance for Hillary Clinton:

And there’s nothing he hates more than the hucksters running the black lives matter movement. Repeat after Pastor Mark Burns – “ALL LIVES MATTER!!!”

Then finally he ended the speech in the only way a blue-blooded patriotic American can – by screaming about the United States of America as loud as he could:

That mother fucker right there LOVES his country. Show me another convention speaker that’s been covered in that much sweat by the end of his speech since the invention of air conditioning. You can’t. He has America oozing out of his pores. That speech was fueled by pure anger from a man who obviously has been told multiple times that he’s a traitor for supporting a “racist” candidate. That guy right there hates the frauds running BLM more than anyone in America.

This is why someone like Donald Trump can win. Because when the DNC comes around next week, what else is there to talk about? Trump’s people already came out tonight to support 90% of the things that democrats usually blabber on about.

As Turtleboy is writing this he’s watching CNN. Van freaking Jones just admitted that Trump’s speech was great. Just look at this CNN poll:

13838188_1751224648494144_1550029920_o

This is a liberal network’s poll. Over half the people they asked thought the speech was very positive. Less than a quarter said it had a negative effect, and most of them were probably Ted Cruz fanboys. Those are insane numbers.

Everyone they’ve interviewed was pleased to see that he stopped making up lies about Mexico paying for his wall and started talking about bringing Americans together. His poll numbers are about to go through the roof. And the best part about it is that the Cruz fanboy butthurt patrol couldn’t stop bitching the entire speech:

Suck it losers. America doesn’t want losers like Ted Cruz. Winners only.

If the Republicans are so concerned with “protecting the LGBTQ community,” Why is conversion therapy an official part of their platform?

I have a little time on my hands so I’ll respond Bill. Up until the last 20 or so years being gay wasn’t considered hip. People have been brain washed into believing that being gay is a natural thing but it’s not the gay media has just brainwashed you into thinking this way. Now it’s time to reboot people with dysfunctional thinking. Until two men or two women can naturally reproduce together I’m not buying it. You can’t fit a square peg in a round hole regardless of what LGTB tells you.

Hey, if you want to be a bigoted asshole, could you kindly use someone else’s screenname? You know, threeball, stalker, whoever else you are, most homophobes, are secretly gay and ashamed of themselves. Maybe you should do a little soul searching? You’d be surprised at what you might find! 🙂

You appear very ignorant for a “Professor” ha ha. Oh yea; be careful calling someone here a “”bigoted asshole,” considering you’re obviously one yourself.

How’s Trump’s Act working out now? White nationalism AKA virtually white supremacy, if not, has been exposed. Soon obviously to be politically — and hopefully socially — buried.

I truly wish you , “you people” here, well. I truly do.

A lot of folks I know in the midwest area that are lifelong Democrats are voting for Trump this time around. He’s got his work cut out for him, but I think if he continues a populist streak, he can persuade many of the Reagan Democrats to his side. I’m not totally sold yet, but I must admit that his speech last night really did a good job in reaching out to the blue collar American worker that has taken a pounding over the last decade plus.

Also, did anyone else catch Van Jones totally freaking out after the speech last night? Hilarious.

The aid we provide Mexico will stop and the wall will be paid for, so indirectly, MX will be paying for the wall.

Get the black off the fucking stage. This isn’t the DNC.

That Pastor knows his community! The blacks have been trolled and enslaved by the DNC, they are just starting to realize it. As I travel the country I meet people of all persuasions. Most deeply distrust the corrupt cackling hag but those who are life long Democrats are conflicted. Many blacks are coming to realize their kids and grand kids are worse off after the war on poverty was started – what a fucking sham that is!

Bernie lit the fuse for some. He is off the rail insane but still psychotic people spurt out coherent words occasionally. The system is indeed rigged; for the Clintons and was for the Bushes too. Both are rich elites, Progressive (Marxist) and out for themselves and the central bankers.

Along comes The Donald. Smartest guy in the room, arrogant (trust me, it takes one to know one!), doesn’t give a shit who he pisses off because he wants the shiny thing whether it’s a trophy wife or the White House: he’s going to get it. But he’s successful, different and can’t be bought.

Look who he resonates with: unions. He hires them and many are minorities. The Union leadership hates him because they are bought by the DNC but the brothers and sisters out of the halls are the ones driving the buses to and from the nursing homes telling the old folks whom to vote for. I wonder how that’s going to work out? Vote for the lying bitch who’s giving your job away or the guy who hired you last year?

      Should be interesting come November.

Is the Trump family not the best looking family that has ever existed?

Trump’s best speech thus far. I thought it had everything. He hit on all cylinders. It was moderate with a side of conservative. He’s really not leaving anybody out which I like alot. When was the last time your heard a right wing Republican speak of the rights and safety of the LGTBQ community? The other 15 candidates in the primaries would not touch that. Trump wanted that in. Women equality, better opportunities for Black and Latino Americans. And good for him for all of that and more. Such focus on working people.

Love his passion and commitment to our men and women in blue and our troops overseas. His financial savvy and solutions was also impressive. There was so much to it in a speech that last over an hour long but in my opinion it was his finest hour to date.

Hey, Greg Marsden? Maybe you should get another tag name….because everyone knows who you are now. They also know WHAT you are….an unstable 40 something who lives in his sisters basement and jacks off to barely legal porn. Stop. Just stop.
