Pennsylvania Bridal Shop Morons Who Won’t Sell Dresses To Lesbians Have To Be The Worst People On Earth

Two women who hoped to buy gowns to wear to their wedding were turned away from a bridal shop in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, prompting a torrent of criticism for the store online and by word-of-mouth.

According to PAHomepage.com, the brides-to-be were informed that the W. W. Bridal Boutique “does not service same-sex couples” because to do so would be a violation of their “religious beliefs.”

One of the two women — who wish to remain anonymous — posted on Facebook that she called the store to schedule a fitting for herself and her partner. She was reportedly placed on hold for several minutes, then told, “Unfortunately she would not be able to schedule an appointment for us because they currently do not service same-sex couples — it’s just not something they do.”

No interesting sports stories today so I just wanna take a moment to point out how stupid this shit is for a minute.

Alright, first of all, how is this even an issue? Since when does a bridal shop give two shits what people do with their dresses once they leave the store? This would be like CVS refusing to sell a valentine to a gay dude. When they sell gowns to straight women, do they have to return them if they get divorced? Like, why the fuck do they give a shit what happens to the overpriced fabric they peddle once it leaves the store?

I’ll get into the whole gay marriage thing in a minute, but that’s only a minor part of all this. The bigger issue here is idiots who enforce rules they don’t have to. I hate these people more than a fly in the bathroom while you’re trying to take a dump.

Oh you don’t sell dresses to lesbian couples? You realize they could’ve just bought the dresses separately right? So if your anti-gay agenda can be so easily manipulated then why even have one? Oh that’s right, because you’re an asshole who likes to enforce pointless rules.

I had a situation like this the other day. Shaws had a buy five 12-packs of soda for $10 deal. So obviously I wanted to buy like 80 of them and I’d be good until 2016. But for whatever reason there is a rule that says you can only buy five. Ummmmm, you idiots realize I can just buy five and come right back in right? Pointless rule.

And of course this whole thing is bringing out every wannabe Christian warrior nudnik who thinks they’re doing God’s work by defending these morons right to enforce pointless rules. Like this nimrod:

They’re actively looking for a fight? Ummm, I think they’re actively looking for two wedding dresses. All you hippies and your fancy “equality.” Just because someone denies you the right to purchase stuff from them because it interferes with their political agenda doesn’t mean they’re treeing you unequally. Right?

Then there was this gem:

First of all, whenever someone uses the Bible or religion in an attempt to win an argument, they have already lost. Turtleboy is a man of faith, and not some heathen. But even I know that trying to convince people who think you are wrong and don’t believe in the Bible, BY USING THE BIBLE as your main point, is a really, really shitty way to win a debate.

Love how this dooshnozzle says they wish we could go back to 1614 like it was some sort of fucking paradise. Because as we all know, killing and violence started ten years ago once all the gays started coming around. And yea, 1614 was a pretty sweet fucking year. Well, besides all the smallpox and lack of wifi. But it’s a lot easier to live in a fantasy world I guess. I mean, what are these people smoking? Whatever it is I need it stat.

Then there’s this one:

Oh sweet Jesus, make it stop. Did I miss the part where they demanded the store owner has to be the DJ at this wedding too? How the fuck are you “participating” in the marriage by selling them a gown they will wear once in their lives? Newsflash – some Cambodian kid made that dress for 30 cents in a dimly lit room. Now you’re selling it for $3,000. That doesn’t make you a participant, it makes you a con artist.

Yea, that’s it. They CHOSE to be gay. Because who wouldn’t wanna choose to become a member of an ostracized minority group? That makes TONS of sense. There is only one person and one person alone who wishes they were gay and chose to be heterosexual. His name is Macklemore, and he frowns on your shenanigans.

Yea guys, why are you focusing on all that tolerance and love shit Jesus preached? That shit was gay. Let’s focus more on the fire and brimstone aspects of the Gospel. .

Let’s pretend for a moment that being gay is a sin. Please explain to me how selling someone a dress is participating in all this sinning fun. When they sell the dress to them, does the business owner have to sit in the room for the consummation? Because like I said, you sold them a fucking dress dude. That’s it. What they do with it afterwards isn’t really any of your concern.

LIBEL on Facebook!!!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. Pauline you just won the award for biggest dumbass on the internet. Quite an honor.

Screen Shot 2014-08-09 at 11.23.22 PM

Yea, so you didn’t get to shop where everyone else is allowed to shop simply because you’re different. And you’re offended by that? Get over yourself hippy. Did black people complain when they couldn’t sit at lunch counters and ride in the front of the bus? Nope. They just got unoffended like this genius said they should. Sure there’s a shitload of really good laws that prevent them from doing this, but don’t let that ever get in the way of a good ol’ gay bashing rant on Facebook!!

So yea, obviously this story brought out all the nut jobs. But my main point here isn’t that these people are insane. It’s that the people who own the shop are dooshnozzles for enforcing unenforceable and pointless rules.

NO, you’re the moron, stupid assholes. It’s their business and they have the right to sell who they want to. Don’t be so quick to come to their defense, most of these gays and lesbos would throw your blog under the bus and have it banned.

Hahahaha I totally want to go on a date with Heather Shelton… she just seems like a barrel of fun.

I have to keep going with this one. So Heather and I go out on a date somewhere… dressed up like it is 1614. Since it is 1614, I can just decide to marry her without her consent and then sell her off to Arab slave traders who can force her to mop the deck of their slave ship. If that is getting to be too much for a first date, we could instead go out for a nice meal of gruel and… turnips or something and then go take in a production of “The Merchant of Venice.” After the crowd, fueled by cheap booze and stirred-up anti-Jewish sentiment from that play, burns down a bunch of Jewish towns, Heather and I could walk down the streets hoping not to contract the plague or a similar virus. Of course I realize that this could all backfire if Heather realizes what I am up to and turns me over to the inquisition.

Businesses reserve the right to deny business from anyone for any or no reason.
It’s none of our business. They are declining to make money. People have the right to be assholes. Period.

    • August 10, 2014 at 8:35 am

Actually according to the civil rights act of 1964 they do not.

Turtleboy is correct. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 bans that type of behavior. You can deny business to people if you’d like, but not because of race, religion, creed, etc. This announcement is posted in all businesses, usually near the time clock.

I was just trying to comment below on how far and quickly public opinion has moved in favor of treating same-sex couples equally. With the way public opinion has moved, especially among the young, as time goes on it is going to be less and less of an issue. Why people get so upset about how other people choose to spend their time behind closed doors is a mystery to me. Those, like the “business owners” above should be shamed publicly.

It sure as hell did not extend to sexual orientation in 1964. I am not sure of steps taken by the federal government regarding discrimination on sexual orientation in recent year, but I assume that some states have taken some.
