I’ve said before that you’re crazy if you wanna go into teaching, but I’m starting to think you’re crazy if you wanna be a cop too. Personally, the angry Italian guy in me won’t allow me to maintain a job where I can’t tell people when they’re being dooshnozzles. And that’s generally what life seems to be like when you work in public service. You have to constantly put up with idiots and morons and you have to be nice to them.

But being a cop lately seems like assholes are constantly following you around with cameras trying to catch you in “gotcha” situations. Yesterday a police officer was shot for absolutely no reason in Roxbury by some punk who didn’t want a ticket. While Officer John Moynihan, a combat veteran and decorated police officer who won an award for bravery for his role in the Boston Marathon bombing manhunt, lay in a coma fighting for his life, the protestor patrol was out in full force doing what they do best – yelling at the police. This video makes me wanna punch things:

The hippies have expressed their dissatisfaction with our use of the term “savage.” Well guess what hippies? That is some savage shit right there. Ironically this lovely girl right here:

Screen Shot 2015-03-29 at 12.31.31 AM

Was pointing at the cops calling them “savages” and “uncivilized,” while she provoked a crowd to near anarchy. She seems nice.

Here you have a bunch of police officers who just saw one of their own get shot in the face, and all they’re trying to do is clear off 50 feet so they can investigate the crime scene. And every ASSHOLE from Roxbury with a cell phone is out there taping them and yelling derogatory things in their direction.

And what do the cops do? Kill them with kindness. I don’t have it in me. I’d go all John Shaft on these gutless losers. The police asked you to move, so fucking move. It’s just such a simple concept. These professional LOSERS simply cannot accept the fact that a guy in uniform has the authority to tell them what to do. They can’t come to terms with it. Because any normal person in that situation says, “sure no problem.” Because that’s what you do when you’re not an asshole.

But not these geniuses. They had to get in the cops grill, yell “don’t fucking touch me,” and put their hands up like Michael Brown once did in imaginary Ferguson fairy tales. I love when the fat bastard yells (at about 1:30), “This is my street.” Newsflash Heavy D – this is the taxpayer’s street. Just because you’re gonna live and die there because you are incapable of climbing the social ladder, doesn’t mean you actually own the street. We do, and the police are our paid representatives.

This detective especially should be given a medal of honor for not punching this dolt in the face:

Screen Shot 2015-03-29 at 12.28.07 AM

Guy had the camera shoved repeatedly in his face and the cop kept saying, “move back please.”

My final question is, where is the Coming Together Circlejerk on this one? Let’s see what they posted on their Facebook page today:

Screen Shot 2015-03-28 at 11.58.57 PM

No mention of a police officer who was shot in the face, but they DID feel the need to share an article about disarming the police. After all, why should the police have guns? It’s not like anyone’s trying to kill them or anything.

There’s blood on anyone’s hands who has helped provoke this anti-police rhetoric. Without everyone spreading the false belief that there is some sort of undeclared war on certain segments of the American population, people wouldn’t hate the police. Because no one naturally hates cops. It’s a learned behavior, just like racism. We need politicians like the nine Worcester City Councillors who voted in favor of honoring the Worcester Police for their bravery, and less dooshnozzles like Rick Rushton and Sarai Rivera, who are pawns of Worcester’s biggest asshole Kevin Ksen.

I know a few of these protesters in passing. What happened was: (1) Most of them are not from the community or that specific neighborhood — they swarmed in from outside; (2) It was very early on and the protesters didn’t really trust anything the police were telling them, so they assumed that that West did not strike first and that the cops were trying to cover something up; (3) They made complete fools of themselves and unwittingly undermined the local effort to get some reasonable measures for police accountability in place.

The ignorance of some of these comments are astounding!! speaking from being raised and born in a city most of you don’t even know existed. Are teenagers have for years and continuing to be profiled in the streets. Even elderly are at risk for being questioned and harassed without committing a crime. I for one am so frightened I want to move out of the city. It is sad though because no matter where I go my skin and the skin of my children will not change. they will always be looked at suspiciously and suspect because of it. People need to wake up soon it will not just be the color of your skin but where you live and what you worship that will get you looked at or suspected already people go around thinking all Muslims are bad this is not the case. wake up and smell the coffee. racism is not dead and judgment is soon upon us!

Dooshnozzles, that’s one I’ve never heard but it’s so appropriate here. People, when you hear that it takes all types, that doesn’t mean you have to dream up another type of ahole to be. The police are there to maintain order. If there are renegades amongst them, their number pales by comparison to the number of nutjobs, and deranged, just plain evil people, and yes, dooshnozzles they have to deal with on a regular basis.

I find it funny that you can see everything wrong with this and it is, I think Cops should be able to do their jobs without interference but they have brought the disrespect upon themselves. No one deserves to be harmed in any instance butthe cops have been doing this to people of color for so many years until it is coming to a point of boiling over. I am truly sorry for this unfortunate incident that happened to this cop and my prayers go out to him and his family. The culprit should be caught and punished but not by the blue code justice but by the letter of the law. Hate to say this but I think this is an escaltinvg situation and the cops are being put on the same status of these molesting pries4, not being held accountable for their actiins either.

This is a great post. I completely agree with everything you say, but cannot say it myself. My husband is an officer, and I have no idea how he deals with people like this every day. It’s ridiculous to think that he would put the safety of the community above his own, but yet this is how people respond to him. Pathetic.

It doesn’t matter where you live or where you are at the time – if a police officer tells you to move back, you move back. PERIOD. (If you want to put your hands up, go ahead) P.S.> It is also helpful to everyone around you if you keep your mouth shut.

So African Americans are definitely not the only race that has been discriminated against in this country, but they seem to be the only ones that protest about it constantly…I may not be the best about getting my point across and sometimes words things wrong and it looks like I may be racist to some people, but if you really knew me, you would realize I got a heart of gold and try to help my fellow man, no matter what race they are, whether it be helping out a neighbor with food if they need it, donating my time at the local community center with whatever is needed or if I’m out and about and see someone that needs help, I’ve been known to stop and see if there is something I can do to help to me it does not matter race if I see someone in need…………… I guess I have been very lucky because I’ve been told that is a very dangerous thing to do in the cities…..

This is one of the most disturbing videos I’ve ever seen. I’m so tired of ppl talking about race. It’s not about race. If you choose to live a life of crime and or be associated with it, your gonna hate the cops, cuz they are trying to STOP THE CRIME, DRUGS ETC, SO thats why you would likely hate them. If you are a law abiding citizen doing the 9-5 chances are, you’re not gonna hate cops. Why? Because you have no reason too! FOR ANY ONE WHO THINKS I DON’T KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE, WELL THIS WHITE WOMAN DOES! I lived the ugly life , therefore I hated cops. But I’ve chosen to change my life around and I can honestly say I am a law abiding citizen to the best of my abilities daily!!! A COP WAS SHOT, IN THE FACE, WITHOUT HIS GUN EVEN DRAWN. HE’S NOW FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE BECAUSE DUDE WANTED TO STEP OUTTA A CAR AND SHOOT HIM. WHAT DID ANY ONE EXPECT THE OUTCOME TO BE??? I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN DORCHESTER, I WASN’T TAUGHT TO HATE COPS, I MADE THAT DECISION ON MY OWN ( WHEN I WAS BREAKING THE LAW). THEN I MADE THE DECISION TO LIVE A LEGAL LIFE AND BE HAPPY. THE COPS ARE NOT THE ENEMY!! THIS OFFICER WAS JUST DOING HIS GOD DAMN JOB…WHY CAN’T PEOPLE HAVE ANY RESPECT NOR COMPASSION THESES DAYS?? WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT A 50 FT LAW, ESP AFTER THIS OFFICER WAS SHOT. YOU KNOW THE CHICK SCREAMING ABOUT IT HAD TO GOOGLE THAT REAL QUICK ANYWAYS. I honestly am just baffled by the disrespect for authority. Those men and woman go home at night if they are lucky enough, and kiss their children wives and husbands. I KNOW THAT NONE OF THESE PPL IN THIS VIDEO GOT THE HEART OR BALLS TO DO THEIR JOB FOR 1 DAY!!!!! SMH…I know i dont.My heart and prayers are with the officer, his family and the rest of BPD.

“Hey folks, we’re gonna push this line back a little” Oh my God! what threatening words!! No wonder those people were scared for their lives. Looks like the police have lost their power! That not just Boston but throughout the countries…That’s because of ‘human rights’ look how the people of this world are so disrespectful towards the officers of the law!….they are there to serve and protect!…let them do their jobs without making it much more difficult for them. Give officers back the power!!! And just maybe their wouldn’t be so much crime and people who think they are above the law in this world!

Man in blue yelling at the African American officers “you should be ashamed of yourselves”. Then proceeds to say something along the lines of that the African American officers are choosing the white officers as their “brothers “. What that man was yelling is in fact Racism. Telling the African American officer that he is in the wrong being a police officer and protecting his white officers. Wouldn’t that be a good thing for a man of his color being a police officer, he may find more trust in the officer because he is the same color. Before you jump down my throat for that comment for saying my comment was racist. People are more likely to trust someone when they find something in common or can relat to a certain situation.
I feel for the officers in this video, they are in pain from their “brother” being shot in the face but they did not lash out. Yes the video is upsetting but it is comical listening to uneducated people yell nonsense. Wonder how much money that guy who owns the street gets for parking or does he offer it free?

Biggest thug pieces of shit I’ve ever seen.. Its sad that these are the people that makes situations racial, and because of that, the BPD is too afraid of the political backlash of locking every person in this video up, for disorderly conduct. Amongst all the negative statements these protesters are screaming at officers, one stood out to me the most… I FU*CKIN HATE Y’ALL. Thats the most racist thing I’ve seen or heard in this whole ordeal! SMH This wasn’t racial, it very rarely is.. a ‘MAN’ chose to take a gun, raise it at a highly decorated officer, and squeeze the trigger, hitting him and making him fight for his life. soo, he happened to be black. Thats not part of the equation. He might be a catholic black male. I assure you the archdiocese will not argue with the actions taken by the officer… Enough is enough with the racial bullshit. I’m white as white can be, and I assure you, if I ever engaged a police officer with a gun and shOT first, the results wouldn’t be any different

It has nothing to do with anti-police rhetoric and everything to do with our personal interactions with these monsters. I learned to hate cops because the ones here in Seattle are bullies and beat the crap out of people while laughing for fun. And no, the people they are beating are not criminals. I am totally disgusted by your comment.

I live around the corner of where this happened And i have to say that I’m sick and tired of these fucking animals. These people have no respect for others, have no morals, have no decency, and don’t have Jesus in their hearts. They are non educated people that only see things one way. Why in hell will you protest in behalf of this fucking criminal who for no reason started to shot at people and even hitting an old lady waking by. This guy got what he deserves. I’ve seen so many sensless crimes around this area that is scary. Just 2 weekd ago a gang members shot a 17 year old in the head blocks away from where this happened. There was no protesting there. Why? Because I guess is ok for blacks killing blacks, but is not ok for a cop fighting to save his life and the life of others. And for many of you wondering, I’m a black educated man with a great family. And i swear to god that my kids will not be this way or i will die trying.

I so agree with you. Where is the outrage over the gang violence on the streets? Why are we not protesting kids killing kids? If we do all we can to stop the crimes from happening, then there will not be criminals for the police to shoot at! If we ALL show respect to the police and don’t SHOOT them, don’t yell at them, don’t antagonize them, then they will have no reason to be combative towards us. We all need to treat the police with respect. Treat others with respect. And treat ourselves with respect. Treat others the way we want them to treat us!

Race has nothing to do with it, it is more an issue of bad parenting and lack of wanting to work at making your life better. They want it given to them, white, black, brown, yellow, red or what ever. If you choose to get an education and job things get better. If you don’t know who your father is or your mother has 8 kids by 8 different men then it continues the cycle

This makes me sick. Every protester protesting here should be shot in the face or have a loved one shot in the face by some thug loser like West. Then we will see if they would be protesting. Boston PD and every PD dept try to protect and serve out communities from low life pieces of dirt like West and there are people with the gall to protest something like this? Disgusting.

Maybe that guy at 1:30 was acting completely In the wrong, but once again the good ‘ol “community blog” fans its true feathers. Why is that guy “incapable of climbing the social ladder?” I don’t think it’s because one silly, emotionally charged action was caught on camera – if that was the case this country would be majority bottom dwellers. Now, it wouldn’t be because of the “Undeclared war on certain segments of the American population,” would it? Please remind yourself of the discrepancies in racial statistics of most endeavors in this country – education, employment, etc. – and ask yourself why a huge fan of this article commented that slave owners did black slaves a favor.

    • JimK
      March 30, 2015 at 2:04 pm

No maybe about it. As long as you’re talking statistics, don’t forget the aggravating one about the Black on black crime that no one wants to touch with a ten foot pole, or the huge lack of good male roll models in the communities of color. You can’t cherry pick the stats to suit your own agenda, you have to face all the facts about race in this country, no matter how bad they make you look.

  • BobnMic

The civil disobedience displayed in that video is earth shattering. Cops have no authority anymore? When did that happen? And what about the cop that got shot first which ignited this whole incident? Where is the rational thinking process? This incident is no doubt a tragedy but this self defensive shooting from the police being attacked is about as black and white as it gets.

  • Dicky P
    March 29, 2015 at 11:20 am

These “people” being shot are criminals, bullies, thieves and generally not good human beings. They put themselves in these positions to get shot. This heithen shot at the cop, and got what he started, shot at and killed. Every action has consequences and as long as we don’t hold people accountable for their actions this will continue. What makes anyone so special that they don’t have comply with the law. My ancestors came to this country and were discriminated against but they worked, obeyed the law and succeeded. The entitlement mentality of the un educated , ignorant American needs to Stitt and when these people take responsibility for their actions it will be a better America

The way I see it, none of the other races in this country ask for special consideration, most just want to be respected for who they are, work hard to get where they are at in life and don’t put their color in the forefront all the time and expect to be treated special because of it, maybe my comments were a bit harsh, but why do African Americans think they we need to bend over backwards for them?? I know there are good people of all races and I do know some African Americans that I respect because they are honest, good hardworking people, but they are usually not the ones you see doing the protesting or screaming at the police or destroying a city like Fergusen

Jeanette Africa Americans have been systematically discriminated against since the beginning of our country. I by no means support shooting cops. I don’t think most cops are racist but for you to say they feel entitled is just bat shit crazy. Black people should feel entitled to the same things that white people have as far as opportunity goes. If there’s no racism against them as you claim, then how do you explain a lack of climbing the social ladder by African Americans as a whole. That means you believe they aren’t as capable of achieving things as white people. That alone makes you racist. There’s a very legitimate conversation regarding race to be had, unfortunately the Black Lives Matter protestors are completely fucking it up.

RBG’s we as American’s have historically discriminated against other races besides African Americans, what about the American Indian??? Immigrants came from Europe in droves, stole and destroyed their land and hunting grounds and declared war on them and slaughtered them like animals and then forced those that were left on to reservations of much of the poorest land in this country, and then in WWII after Pearl Harbor was bombed by Imperial Japan our government again discriminated against Japanese immigrants and Japanese Americans and interred 110,000 and 120,000 of them into internment camps for no good reason, many of those interred were 2nd generation Japanese Americans born here and very faithful to America, but that didn’t matter at the time to our government

No kidding, lucky they are that close to the crime scene and not a few blocks away. Maybe instead of trying to incite violence with the police over being moved back 50 ft, which they seem to think in the video that the police should measure exactly 50 ft and stop, they should be home with their kids providing an example or lesson that shooting or being violent toward anyone, including the cops, is wrong.

haha so true. i have bipolar and i am always annoyed when they blame it on mental health- bipolar doesn’t cause people to do bad things, being a bad person does!

Actually, very nice people who become bi polar or already are but go off their medicine do very uncharacteristic stuff. I’m not saying they all get violent but the police should be trained to help them recognize it, that might help prevent a tragedy. In my family I have both police members and others who suffer from bipolar. I’m not saying this is the case here, I think this is a ridiculous protest.

Protesters? Protest something worthwhile. They are just making noise and causing trouble. Obviously they don’t have to be up for work in the morning!

I am bipolar and have been severely depressed so depressed that I had shock therapy but that never made me do anything violent. Unfortunate and sad that it happened but the lack of respect for the police is equally sad.

The Boston PD should have acted in the same manor as the Amherst PD would have, by shooting pepper spray once the body count exceeds four douchbags. Although instead of telling them to disperse to their dorm room it would be disperse back to your shitting apartment.

That is why they manufacture Pepper spray for dicks such as these in Roxbury. If yo9u point a gun at a cop or shoot a cop, then your dead. Justice served.

Again, great article Turtleboy. Police need to do one thing more aggressively – ENFORCE laws related to interfering with an officer’s duty. Shoving a camera in someone’s face – especially while standing in a mob – and demanding answers while a cop is wrestling someone that’s resisting arrest IS THREATENING THE OFFICER’S SAFETY.

Hippies, go to /Somalia where their are no PO – lice that will “harass” you. Go to Somalia – and watch the brotherly love unfold before your eyes.

Yeah but are we really suppose to trust a person who we think are suppo se to protect us but see us more as a business come up. I mean have u ever see a police meeting in the morning where their captains tell them he doesn’t care how they make arrest just make them. How about the D.A and a Judge who knows the evidence the cop handed over to them is falsified but instead of stopping this unrightious act proceed with the case for political gain I mean look how many black people are being exonerated for ther crimes these days. How about seeing the cops wrongfully detain a person and that persons grand mother comes out to ask the officers what’s the problem only to get greeted with 20 guns in her face does that sound like ppl we can trust or your local friendly officers. How about the percentage of black cops makin a mistake n shooting people compared to the white cops making a mistake shooting a person? Are you tellin me the black cops are better than the White cops or is it just the black cops know better. So when u try to a set of people are animals try lookin at the source of the problem which is WHY THEY BECAME ANIMALS and I bet u come up witj a better understanding for even a battered dog attacks it’s owner after a while of abuse sir.
