Just when you think that Sam Allen and Turtlegram couldn’t stoop any lower…BOOM. They decide to interview an accomplice in the murder of a police officer. We’re over here breaking news til the cows come home and the Turtlegram and Sam Allen are selling their souls just to keep up with us. They have Turtle on the brain and there’s nothing they can do about it.
If you haven’t already read some of this rag that the T&G is passing off as “journalism,” here’s some excerpts from the sinking ship…
The girlfriend of Jorge A. Zambrano said she is “shocked and stunned” that her boyfriend shot Auburn Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. Heather J. Philip of Worcester said she is mourning for the officer’s family, including his three children.
“I have a son, too,” she said through tears. “We are devastated for those three little boys.”
Ms. Philip, who went to Oxford Saturday to take possession of the pit bull that Mr. Zambrano had with him when he was shot and killed, said she has no explanation for her boyfriend’s actions. She said she knew him to be a kind man who had a history of mental health problems. She declined to share details of those problems, but said Mr. Zambrano had recently changed medications. She stressed she wasn’t trying to make an excuse for his behavior.
“There’s never going to be a reason, and there’s never going to be answer why this happened for any of us,” she said. “I’m just so sorry for (Officer Tarentino’s) family.”
Ms. Philip said police have been nothing but kind to her in recent days. She said after the Oxford shootout Sunday, police spent six hours helping her search for Mr. Zambrano’s dog. She said when they eventually found the pet, whose name she would not provide, state troopers let her take the animal home. The dog was hiding in the closet with Mr. Zambrano before he burst out at officers, police said.
Are we supposed to feel sorry for this savage now? I’m confused. Is Sam Allen interviewing her to make us feel that no one did anything wrong and Zambrano killed Auburn police officer Ronald Tarentino just because he was on new meds?! WTF is going on here? What world am I in?!
Of course she’s defending that piece of shit that supposedly hit her on Saturday night. But of course she went and picked up his car for him to drive around, get pulled over, and then kill a cop. And of course she’s going to say that the police are being nice to her. She’s likely an accessory to a murder. She does need to shut the fuck up though.
Imagine HAVING TO BE NICE TO HER. This is where police don’t get any credit. They have to look pieces of garbage like Heather Philip and Zambrano in the face and hold back how they really feel EVERY DAY. This must happen 100 times a day for every single police officer in the country. That’s why I always say that cops and teachers never get any credit for dealing with the garbage they have to deal with day in and day out.
And of course the T&G has no self-respect. It’s not enough that our hero, Ronald Tarentino, still isn’t buried, and the Turtlegram is letting the killer’s girlfriend defend him. Why aren’t people more outraged about this? This is supposed to be the premier local media outlet in the city, and they’re allowing amateurs like Sam Allen and fruitcakes like Lyin’ Kimmy Ring run the madhouse.
They have nearly 100 people alone just WRITING for them. And we are still beating them to stories. MassLive is beating them to stories. Worcester Magazine is beating them to stories. Worcester Sun is beating them to stories. Before you know it, Josh “I don’t pay my employees and I sleep with my only journalist on staff” Fenton at GoLocal, Imaginary Blackface McGee at InCity Times, and Pulse “I enjoy the pulse of young boys” Magazine will be beating the Turtlegram to stories.
The only thing I can imagine is Allen and the other nudniks at Turtlegram sitting around in a dark room with TBS on a big screen just beating them over and over again to stories. And them crying and holding each other. And then Sam Allen speaks up and says “Hey I’m new to this. I have zero integrity anyways as a journalist. I’ll interview that scumbag’s girlfriend. People will click on that!”
Did Sammy even ask her a hard question or did she just get her side of the story and walk out of the house knowing that the people that run the Turtlegram in Texas couldn’t give a shit as long as their readers are getting video advertisements shoved down their throats while they wait to read a shit-spewed piece of so-called journalism.
I’ve never seen such a desperate display. Pathetic. Of course, they didn’t mention Turtleboy Sports by name – instead we’re referred to as “one blog.” As if there’s any other blog out there that matters.
P.S. Why wouldn’t Heather give up the dog’s name? Baffling.
