Just when I thought the protesters couldn’t get any more ridiculous I read this story from Smith college in Northampton. These dingleberries are hilarious:

The president of Smith College was forced to apologize after she sent out a campus wide email saying “all lives matter” instead of the rally cry of Ferguson protesters—“black lives matter.”

In the original email, obtained by Campus Reform, Kathleen McCartney used “all lives matter” in the email detailing the “struggle” and “hurt” the Smith community was experiencing following the non-indictment of Officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

“We gather in vigil, we raise our voices in protest; yet we wake again to news of violence that reminds us, painfully, of the stark reality of racial injustice,” McCartney wrote.

McCartney also announced the college’s plan to institute a new Chief Diversity Officer to support programs and conversations to advance social justice.

However, it was the subject line that had Smith students up in arms. Students took to social media to chastise McCartney, blaming her skin color for her lack of understanding.

“No, Kathy. Please do not send out an email saying ‘All lives matter.’ This isn’t about everyone, this is about black lives,” Sophia Buchanan, a Smith student, said on Twitter.

[P]eople are upset because…[K]athy (and other white people) clearly doesn’t understand the importance of holding black lives central to the conversation,” one student wrote on an anonymous online confessional. “Black lives can’t be central to the conversation if the word black isn’t even in the title.”

Six hours later, McCartney apologized in a separate email to the student body, according to the Daily Hampshire Gazette. McCartney alleged that she was not aware the term “all lives matter” could be used by some on social media to supposedly counter the “black lives matter” movement.

Besides apologizing, McCartney also planned a vigil and prayer for Monday afternoon to memorialize Michael Brown, Eric Garner, and Tamir Rice. According to the Daily Hampshire Gazette, 130 people attended the vigil.

Sophomore Cecelia Lim told the news outlet that McCartney should have apologized.

“It felt like she was invalidating the experience of black lives,” said Lim.

The Daily Hampshire Gazette reports that around 50 students marched across campus and blocked traffic in a protest Sunday afternoon.’

So apparently you’re not allowed to suggest that all lives are important anymore. Just “black lives.” I’m not sure exactly what that entails. I mean, what exactly is a black life? Do Brazilians count? How about Egyptians? That’s in Africa. What about people from Curacao? Does Xander Bogaerts life matter? Does he count? He’s kind of darker skinned. Please, let me know which lives matter and which ones don’t. Because we all know that short-haired Smith College geniuses are the ultimate arbiters of social justice. Only they can determine which lives matter and which ones don’t.

You know all those North Koreans who have been killed in prison camps that NONE of these protesters seem to give a shit about? They don’t matter because their skin isn’t dark enough.

And all those gay people in Russia who are murdered for being themselves? Those honkies don’t matter either.

What about all those Hondurans who are forced to live in the most dangerous country in the world? Do they count? I mean, they’re not technically black, but they’re pretty close. That’s gotta count for something.

I am anxiously awaiting the 140 character announcement from angry feministos as to which lives matter and which ones don’t.

The funny part is the President was trying to join them and it was the ultimate fail. My favorite part is when she talks about all the “hurt” and the “struggle” that students at Smith College are going through. Because according to these statistics, Smith College students are really struggling to get by on a day to day basis. Lots of people who can afford to go to a school that costs $60,341 per year know what it’s like to struggle. Oh yea, and the 94.5% of rich girls who attend Smith College and are NOT black, are really, really, really hurting. Thank God the President sent out that email so that the rich white girls can decompress. They’ve been through a lot.

How are people supposed to take colleges seriously when the President of the University is so brilliantly biased against police? She actually wrote this:

“We gather in vigil, we raise our voices in protest; yet we wake again to news of violence that reminds us, painfully, of the stark reality of racial injustice,”

Because when a grand jury returns a verdict that you don’t agree with, despite the fact that you weren’t in the courtroom for the presentation of the facts, it is undoubtably an example of “racial injustice.” Every single person on those grand juries was racist. There’s no other explanation. Case closed. I feel her pain though. It’s not easy being a honky in America. I mean, every day you wake up with all this guilt that it’s hard enough just to get out of bed. Pretending to know what it’s like to be black in America is the only way to alleviate this pain.

I’m sorry, but watching white people scramble to prove to the world that they’re one of the good ones is some of the funniest shit on the internet. But President Kathleen McCartney has taken it to the next level. She even created a new position – Chief Diversity Officer. Because when you charge your students $60K a year to attend your school you have plenty of cash lying around to create a new position like Chief Diversity Officer. Beat that honkies!!

The REAL problem here though is Twitter. Every nudnik on Twitter thinks they’re Goddamn Martin Luther King Jr. because they put a freaking pound sign in front of some idiotic, nonsensical phrase like “blacklivesmatter.” Yea, no shit black lives matter. We all know that. The issue here isn’t that black lives matter, it’s whether or not shooting Michael Brown was a justifiable police response.

It’s funny because President McCartney here obviously isn’t Twitter savvy. I have a Twitter account, but I don’t really like it. Facebook is a million times better. The only people who use Twitter are high school kids, college students, celebrities, and media. That’s it. So the whole #blacklivesmatter thing was only well known amongst that demographic. Obviously President McCartney isn’t familiar with the fact that “black lives matter” was used to counter “all lives matter” on a form of social media that is primarily used for teenagers to post their duck face selfies on.

And because of the fact that “all lives matter” is used by people who generally support Darren Wilson, this dingleberry college president has to apologize for the most common sense, least controversial statement in the history of the world. Here you have a woman who is actually doing something to support the “epidemic” of “racial injustice” in America. She ACTUALLY made a new position to address these issues. And she’s greeted with shit from loud-mouthed rich white girls who think they’re fucking Ghandi because they regurgitate a bunch of nonsense from a Talib Kweli song and yell at other white people on Twitter about their “privilege.”

I think President McCartney and everyone who read about this can take away one valuable lesson away from this – don’t try to kiss ass to radical, rich, white college students unless you’re completely familiar with the hidden meanings of trending Twitter hashtags.

The act of getting upset over the presidents choice of words shows that these students care less about the actual cause and more about how righteous they look. For fucks sake, the president is supporting the protests. People care more about being offended than actually getting shit done.

What the fuck is the issue here? Good article about some fucking idiots getting offended by a person saying something in perhaps the most inoffensive way. I could start my own blog about how dumb these people sound.

All lives DO matter, not just black. Hispanic, white, Asian, Pacific Islanders, etc.

These people need to get over themselves and do some studying.

President McCarthy needs to realize that some lives matter more than others on Twitter. In this case, black ones. However, next week we will return to normal… where only lives impacted by rape culture matter.
