So someone posted on the “Your Probably From Worcester If” Facebook page:

Seems like a legitimate beef to me. I love Worcester, but I hate what it has become. No city that wants to take itself seriously can allow people to pitch tents next to Little League fields. This isn’t the Goddamn Walking Dead. It’s a community, and it can either look nice, or it can look like shit. And stuff like this makes it look like something out of the Hunger Games. I understand that the homeless have to go somewhere, but we can’t be having people pitch tents wherever they feel like it. Not if we want businesses to open in Worcester. Not if we want families to feel comfortable walking around parks and enjoying the city.

Look, Turtleboy is a softie and we are naturally sympathetic. But we live in Massachusetts, a state where you have to TRY to become destitute. Because there are so many programs, free healthcare if you can’t afford it, the minimum wage is higher than anywhere else, and there are so many opportunities that the only way to end up in a tent like this is to choose to end up in a tent like this.

Anyway, this guy’s post has brought out the butthurt police:

Pardon my language, but what the fuck is wrong with these people? It’s like they won’t rest until Worcester becomes Detroit. Here’s Sophia LaPorte’s profile:

The GED express. Shocking. She’s also from Chazy, NY, which is a wealthy town of 4,000 people on the New York/Vermont/Canadian border. So obviously she has a lot invested in the city of Worcester. But please, tell me more about how Worcester people shouldn’t care about what the city they live in looks like. Must be nice to be 400 miles away from it all and cast judgement from there.

Oh look, the blonde white girl from Barre with more land then she knows what to do with is casting judgement on a concerned Worcester taxpayer who doesn’t want his city looking like a junkie haven. Her Facebook page is filled with glamour shots from the country:

Must be nice.

Hey everyone, look at this social justice warrior!! He gave money to a sign guy. Everyone stand and applaud for his “good deed.” Because he feels GREAT about it!! Sure that sign guy took his money and spent it on more drugs. And yes, Juan Vergara certainly helped contribute to his slow and painful death. But don’t tell him that because he’s too busy awarding himself SJW points.

Nope. That’s not even remotely close to being true. You have to literally try to become homeless in Massachusetts. Most Americans are responsible and have jobs. If we lose our jobs then the government provides us with a safety net through unemployment, disability, and a variety of other social programs that we pay into. A disaster for many Americans is getting foreclosed on. But even then, the worst case scenario involves renting while you get back on your feet. Oh, the humanity!!!

There is PLENTY of affordable housing in Worcester. Check out a magical place called Great Brook Valley if you don’t believe me. But yea, waiting until the leaves comes back sounds like a much better remedy.

How did this woman survive to adulthood?

Screen Shot 2016-03-22 at 12.46.54 PM

What would I do if I became homeless? Well for starters, I wouldn’t allow that to happen to me because I have too much pride to allow that happen. But if I did, I’d put my tent somewhere a little more secluded. I certainly wouldn’t prop it up next to a Little League field. And you’re right Al, there were people in tents during the Great Depression. And because of that Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and other democrat AND republican presidents have created a bigger and wider safety net so that ending up in a tent is almost impossible for any normal human being.

Oh look, threats. The tolerant, compassionate, peace activist crowd is threatening to graffiti a taxpayer’s house and give out his address because they disagree with his opinion. Nothing hyptocritical about that!!

The bottom line is, drug addicts have to live somewhere. But it doesn’t mean we have to allow them to set up shop next to a Little League field. It’s hard enough to get by worrying about providing for your own family. It is NOT my responsibility to worry about where you’re gonna put your tent up if you have somehow found a way to fall through every single safety net the government has provided for you. I like Worcester, and I don’t want it to turn into the junkie haven tent city that people from upstate New York and Barre apparently want it to be for us.

It’s on Krocks land. If he allows it then he should be reported for unsanitary housing. If people think that it is ok for unsanitary housing on a rich man’s land than all other landlords should follow. .If Krock doesn’t keep his weeds to 1 ft ,it’s against the law but council overlooked this constantly and whole area is blighted. TB did a pictorial of this last year, many others have reported it to the City also. I am not complaining about the occasional drunk that goes in to sleep it off but allowing this to go on leaves the occasional drunk to criminals that do use this land because the City allows it. And I can’t understand why so called liberals do not want to find housing for these people and just leave the vulnerable to the criminals.

It’s NOT on Krocks land. It’s in Beaver Brook Park on Chandler St.

Baltimore. Detroit. It starts with a few junkie tents.

But the junkie in the tent is STILL a better human being than unemployed Kevin Lynch sweating it out on his laptop in mommy’s basement

And this folks, is what cities run by libtards eventually look like. Liberalism really IS a mental disorder. Seriously, former Gov. Mike Dukakis (D) de-institutionalized the state hospitals and now those who should be treated are left to their own devices. The homeless living in these camps are usually alcoholics, drug addicts, and are a tad mentally askew who not only choose this life, but actually prefer to live this way. True compassion is actually addressing the mental health and substance abuse problem and NOT just tossing a dollar at them just to make the SJW’s feel better about themselves.

I was plowing snow this winter and at like 2am at the Cumbys on Chandler sit next to mill st, there were two gang bangers,I’m sorry, two African American young men, hanging around the parking lot during a snowstorm. I’m sure they were selling drugs. I never knew they sold drugs down in tatnuk like in main south. That is also the way to go if your coming from Barre to get to foley stadium. Maybe they were selling tents.
I forgot to mention that Cumbys was closed.

One of the morons posted about affordable housing not realizing Worcester has 3X the amount of affordable housing then is necessary. Obviously the poster has not been to Worcester in a long time. Worcester is where the better parts of the East Side were 20 years ago. A few derelicts cross Park Ave, the gangs have already established off Tatnuck, and June, Hoem invasions off Salisbury next thing you know,..the sad part is the Westside decline is likely to happen much more quickly.

Damn TB, i never thought railroad tracks could be so clean. Not one beer can from the 70s. No trash. No fishing string all wrapped up in a bush. No abandoned mattresses or TVs.

Ya, shes got tons of perspective on what its like to really live. What is she 14?

Go back to your 10th grade homework sweetie and leave the real world to those who live in it.
