A State Representative from Dracut named Colleen Garry is the greatest politician who ever lived. She is the Michael Gaffney of the statehouse – not afraid to stand up for the citizens of Massachusetts against the terrorists who have masqueraded their terrorism under the guise of “protesting.” Just read this article from the Lowell Sun

The possible legislative responses to January’s I-93 traffic protests in Somerville run the gamut from harsher penalties for obstruction demonstrations to straight-up attempted murder charges for those found guilty of blocking roadways.

Dracut Rep. Colleen Garry has put forward a collection of bills to crack down on protesters. Her harshest idea is the bill that would add roadway obstruction to the list of crimes considered by the state to be attempted murder, which carries a 20-year prison sentence.

“If they were protesting for my campaign, I would say it’s the wrong way to be doing it,” Garry testified before the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee Tuesday. “We cannot allow the lives of Massachusetts folks to be interrupted, to be at risk by that kind of protest.”

But like all good lawmakers, Garry’s covering her bases. She’s also proposing a bill to make roadway obstruction an act of manslaughter, and another that calls for a 10-year prison sentence. Garry insists that jail time needs to be involved and protestors “need to be put on notice that there are consequences.”

Holy shit I LOVE this woman. She is everything I thought it was impossible for politicians to be. Fearless, principled, righteous. But most importantly she has common sense. She gets it. She’s not here to kiss ass to both sides and try to make everyone happy. She’s here to do what’s right. Because when you jump on the highway during rush hour traffic, you are deliberately trying to kill people. That’s what attempted murder is.

She’s also a democrat, which just proves that the War on Hippies is a bipartisan effort that should bring us all together. Look, this woman is doing the will of the people. If you polled 100 taxpaying Massachusetts residents they would agree that blocking a major highway heading into Boston should result in an automatic jail sentence. No questions asked.

My favorite part about this woman is how she completely roasted some dooshnozzle hippie who tried getting sassy with her in an email exchange. Apparently a guy named Peter Stone emailed her because he was upset about this common sense anti-terrorist legislation. He calls himself an “ally” of the “Black Lives Matter” terrorists.

And you know what “ally” means don’t ya? It means you’re one of the white guys who makes up the vast, vast majority of these hippie protests. He is everything I imagined he would be and more:

And when he’s not trying to alleviate his white guilt he’s playing in an all white band. Obviously this guy has life figured out.

When a hippie like this wants to battle with a bulldog like Colleen Garry, he’s gonna get bit because he’s way, way, way out of his league. Here’s how it went down:

An “ally” of the Black Lives Matter protesters provided WGBH News with an email exchange between advocate Peter Stone and Garry.

In the email exchange, Stone writes that Garry seems to be targeting the legislation at the Black Lives Matter protests. Stone considers “these attacks on the activists despicable” and adds that he deplores Garry’s “attempts to further punish people for attempting to call attention to the deaths of our citizens at the hands of police.” Stone goes on to write that Garry’s “attention would be better spent addressing the problems of police violence and structural racism in our justice system” than attempting to criminalize the protests.

In her response, Garry doesn’t pull any punches. The Dracut Democrat writes that she finds Stone’s “activist friends criminals and terrorists!!” and closes her reply with “Frankly, I find your ‘structural racism’ a fraud!”

Garry writes that the protest prevented people from getting to chemotherapy, dialysis and specialist appointments at Boston hospitals.

“One 49-year-old woman I know being transferred to [Massachusetts General Hospital] with the final state of ovarian cancer spent three hours in an ambulance. She died last week,” Garry wrote in the reply to Stone.

Garry confirmed that the email exchange with Stone is authentic and described herself as “very, very frustrated with people calling me a racist.” She calls her legislation “content neutral” and insists that it seeks to stop the practice of road obstruction regardless of the issue the demonstration may be trying to bring attention to.

As for the Black Lives Matter movement, Garry said she’s seen footage of police brutality in other parts of the country but has been amazed by the number of black Americans killed as a result of “police going to help.”

“What I know is that police officers have to make decisions in a split second,” Garry said.

Oh you wanna protest? Well my friend died of cancer because you saw a hashtag on Twitter and couldn’t resist the urge to be an asshole. Boom. Roasted. I wanna give this woman a fucking MEDAL for calling these people terrorists. No other politician has ever had the minerals to call them what they are. It’s just so bold I can’t respect it enough.

I would pay any amount of money to watch this woman do battle with Joyce McNickles. Mrs. Old Balls of course supported the I-93 protesters as you know. And she LOVES to use terms like “structural racism” because it’s vague and justifies criminal behavior in her deluded head. “Frankly, I find your ‘structural racism’ a fraud!” You know who was thinking that? Everyone.

This woman is the Turtleboy of the Massachusetts State Legislature. She is sick of being called a racist by buttnutts who have absolutely no fucking clue what they are talking about. She’s sick of police being scapegoats for people who can’t comply with simple requests from law enforcement. She’s sick of every asshole out there taking out there iPhone and trying to catch the police in a “gotcha” situation. We all are. And she says it for us. God bless this woman.

Of course some idiot politician from the ultra-rich town of Acton is leading the charge against this common sense legislation:

Jaime Eldridge, an Acton Democrat, opposes the slate of bills that would classify roadblocking as a felony. Eldridge thinks increasing criminal penalties would go against Massachusetts’ tradition of civic resistance and protest that dates back to the Boston Tea Party or even prior. Eldridge told WGBH News that existing laws are strong enough — and why these types of protest don’t happen that often.

New rule – the next person who compares these hippie terrorists to the Boston Tea Party patriots automatically gets tossed in the Boston Harbor. Yea, those patriots all would’ve gotten hung if they had lost. Also, they were fighting for something – independence from the greatest superpower the world has ever known. They also wanted dutch tea because it tastes better. All of those were goals. The hippies who jumped onto I-93 had no goals. They had no end game. They were just causing disruption because no one would pay attention to them if they didn’t. You know, because they’re worthless members of our society that we purposely ignore on a daily basis.

“There are already remedies, punishments in our laws right now that do have an impact on having people in general giving second thought to shutting down a highway like was done by protesters on route 93,” Eldridge said.

Newsflash to Senator (State Senator) Eldridge – the laws you currently have CLEARLY do not, “have an impact on having people in general giving second thought to shutting down a highway like was done by protesters on route 93.” You know how I know this? Because they did it anyway. Ultimately they knew they would get a slap on the wrist and would be back in their parents basements in Brookline by sundown.

Not one of these dipshits could survive a night in the clink. They know that. We know that. You think they’re willing to go to jail for this? LOL. Get out of my face with that jive. They’re just doing it because it’s fun and games to them. Something cool to do, because fuck it, it’s not like they had to work that day.

But if they knew that prison Mike was gonna get his hands on them if they tried killing people again, they’d probably just go back to retweeting some article they read on The Atlantic about how institutional racism is keeping their nonexistent black friends down.

2e574985b9aff57dc8d856b7eb740e276ade374e9788d34dcbaa4c369a6515b9

“We don’t want to go too far, especially when you’re talking about people protesting about a very serious issue, about the fact that there’s a significant number of African-American men and women who are being shot, including being shot by police.

You know how I can tell that Eldridge is your typical, sellout, fraudulent, full of shit politician? Because he brought up the issue that they’re protesting over. Newsflash – it doesn’t fucking matter what they’re protesting. Walking onto the highway during rush hour is NEVER acceptable. Ever. It’s terrorism and we won’t stand for it.

What he just did is let their bullshit influence his thinking. He’s so convinced that they are right, that he’s let it influence public safety for the rest of us. Anyone from Lunenburg, Harvard, Boxboro, or Acton who votes for this idiot should have their driveways permanently blockaded by hippies to see how much they like it.

The only way this legislation could be better is if there is some sort of amendment that makes it legal to run them over if they get in your way. Because if you have an emergency, you don’t have time to negotiate with these terrorists who are taking away your freedoms. Just floor it, make a couple hippie pancakes, and the rest of the hippies will get the message.

By the way, I can’t WAIT to see how our State Reps vote on this. John Mahoney, Jim O’Day, Kate Campanale, Dan Donahue, and Mary Keefe. You’re all on watch. We know how Mary Keefe’s gonna vote, since Kevin Ksen, a known terrorist, is her campaign manager. But for the rest of them, this is the ONLY vote that has ever mattered.

We will obviously keep you updated on this bill as it moves along. But God bless you Colleen Garry, and God bless the towns of Dracut and Tyngsboro. Not only are you people blessed with Market Baskets as far as the eye can see, you also have someone who represents with the least common attribute known to politicians – common sense.

I am stunned by the ridiculous skewing of the poll question. “Let the hippies have their fun”?? What kind of choice is that??
That being said, mandatory minimums has been proven to cause injustice. It’s time to eliminate them, NOT add to them!

Wish Colleen Garry was from Worcester, we need people with her honesty and backbone running for the offices in here in Worcester and looking forward to seeing Michael Gaffney being voted in as mayor and hopefully seeing him make some major changes in how Worcester does city business and turns the Woo around from its downward spiral

    Colleen Garry for PRESIDENT!!!!

I’m sure she’s aiming high on the penalty scale maybe shooting for something less, but greater than what it is today. Or just looking to send a message to the miserable hippie loosers that more and more people are taking notice of your dooshnozzlery and getting tired of it.

Those people are total losers! Could the kid in the email be any more of a dork? Why is it the people with the most white guilt are total geeks or 600 pound blimps??

The bill won’t get out of committee so our delegation won’t ever be forced to vote for or against it.
And Jim O’Day would be the one to kill it. He can’t blow enough of your tax dollars doing it either.

I know I am risking the righteous wrath of TBr’s everywhere but I appose equating the crime that these morons committed with murder. Twenty or ten years is way out of line. I think the current law is sufficient:
Section 2. Whoever, being present and being so commanded to assist in arresting such rioters or persons so unlawfully assembled, or in suppressing such riot or unlawful assembly, refuses or neglects to obey such command, or, if required by such magistrate or officer to depart from the place, refuses or neglects so to do, shall be considered one of the rioters or persons unlawfully assembled, and shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than one year or by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars or more than five hundred dollars, or both.
To over react to these crimes is as bad as not reacting to them.

I had the same thought. Maybe a 1-5 year sentence, depending on priors and the particular instance. If you make the punishment too severe, you’ll loose the support needed to get it passed.

Right, I agree with you… But that doesn’t include inhibiting emergency vehicles from getting to hospitals, chemo patients needing treatment. Yes, they were unlawfully assembled, but they also put lots of lives at risk by shutting down a main thoroughfare. That’s a lot worse than illegally assembling and pitching tents in a park.

That road is filled with tractor trailers, gas trucks, buses… Things that can’t just stop short. It’s a miracle that no one got steamrolled and killed because of these people

        July 15, 2015 at 3:27 pm

Problem with that is intent. I’ll use drunk driving as an example. If you were to drive drunk and kill someone, you would not be charged with murder. You would be charged with vehicular homicide (or man slaughter depending on the state and circumstances). Even though you were 100% wrong with what you did and should be shown no mercy, your intent was not to go out and kill someone. That is why it should not be as stiff as a murder charge. Even though what they did was endangering to both themselves and people uninvolved in traffic (and should face some sort of jail time), the intent was not to cause bodily harm and they should not be punished as if they were intending to kill someone.

          July 17, 2015 at 10:31 am

Agreed. It really is all about intent. And slapping a law that insinuates something otherwise and inflicts a general punishment for the same results is dangerous. That would be like someone or some city forgetting to salt the roads one random winter morning during an ice storm at the drop of a hat when the weather suddenly cooled that causes a major inconvenience of traffic pileups backed up for miles… and potentially a potentially a few ambulances which happened to be stuck in the gridlock as well… hey, wait a minute!…
