The Telegram and Gazette has refused to publish this Facebook post from Mosaic employee Robert Alston, because they don’t know if the real Robert Alston (Boo Shameek) posted it:

Ya got that? They are suggesting that this is some sort of fake account designed to frame Mosaic. This is the official policy of your local newspaper. According to them social media is not an outlet that their reporters and columnists can use to present news.

Well, just when you thought the Telegram couldn’t possibly be a bigger joke, this was an actual headline we saw on the Facebook machine this morning:

EXTRA, EXTRA, EXTRA!!! Breaking news!!! Kids write on Twitter that they don’t wanna go to school. More to come this afternoon. Stay tuned with the Telegram for more stories on students complaining about too much homework!!!!

LOL. It’s just impossible to escape the hypocrisy. This is a newspaper that won’t use a relevant Facebook post from the son of Mosaic’s CEO in which he confesses to manipulating white guilt in order to tap an “unlimited source of income.” But they will use a bunch of tweets from high school kids who don’t want school on Monday.

This is news, but Mosaic is not, according to Karen Webber, who ultimately decides what gets published and what does not. Mosaic is an organization that is constantly in the news and was covered by the Boston Globe. It’s not newsworthy though. Oh yea, and the Facebook page was immediately taken down as soon as Turtleboy wrote about it. Nothing suspicious about that!! Must be a fake page.

I would’ve bet my Nantucket horse ranch that this was a Samantha Allen masterpiece. She’s the godfather of internet “crowd sourcing.” Here’s what we found when we clicked on their garbage:

Storify wrote it. Got it. Remember when the Telegram and Worcester Magazine complained that Turtleboy isn’t a real news outlet because we’re anonymous? Well here is Worcester’s official “newspaper” and they’re using an anonymous social networking device to write their “stories” for them. Obviously this was Sam Allen’s brainchild because her generation has been brought up to believe that this is how the news is reported. There’s literally nothing in this entire article except for a list of kids tweets that she meticulously went through and then published. No analysis, interviews, opinions, etc. Just a bunch of high school kids’ tweets.

But please, tell me more about how Turtleboy isn’t a real source because we don’t have journalism degrees like Samantha Allen.

T&g is just afraid to be labeled racist. Who woulda thought a newspaper doing real investigations or reporting hot takes? Would’ve upped their credibility, but alas that shit is doomed. Should be replaced with the Turtleboy & Gazette

Social media has done a great job lowering what constitutes “the news”. What’s the next headline “Fat people angry at McDonald’s for not having wider stalls”

I have it on good authority that TurtleBoy has the hots for Karen Webber, and wants to take her to Dinos for pizza for a date.
