Good news for those of you have been triggered by the results of the most recent election – the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be providing you with a safe space:

Citing reports of harassment and intimidation of racial, ethnic and religious minorities in the days after the presidential election, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey on Monday launched a hotline to allow people to report those types of incidents.

“In Massachusetts, we will protect people’s rights, fight discrimination and keep people safe,” Healey, the state’s top prosecutor, said in a statement. “There are reports from around the country following the election that people have been targeted and subjected to conduct that imperils safety and civil rights.”

The hotline for Massachusetts residents, staffed by attorneys and workers in Healey’s office, allows them “to report bias-motivated threats, harassment, and violence,” Healey said. According to Time.com, “states across the country have seen increased incidents of racist or anti-Semitic vandalism and violence, many of which have drawn directly on the rhetoric and proposals of President-elect Donald Trump.”

The Massachusetts attorney general’s hotline is 1-800-994-3228. Healey’s office also encouraged residents to contact them through social media or file a civil rights complaint. Healey’s office also urged immigrants to “come forward with their concerns without fear of reprisal based on immigration status,” in a release announcing the hotline.

Thank God. It’s about time we had a phone number to call in case of emergency. Because that didn’t exist already. And as a diehard Hillary supporter I have been subjected to racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia all over the Internet, which SHOULD be a safe space for me to share my opinions without being confronted with people who view the world differently. Ever since Trump got elected I have had my safe space violated more times than I can count. All of these things you’re seeing on the news are real. All of them. Not one of them is staged. And the only reason they’re doing it is because Donald Trump makes them feel empowered to do so.

Luckily we have GREAT leaders like Maura Healey who will be there for me to speak with on the other end of the hot line next time my safe space is violated. THIS is why I pay taxes. THIS is money well spent.

I’ll tell you another thing about Maura Healey too – she is VERY consistent. For the last few months she’s been endorsing and supporting Moses Dixon for State Representative in the 17th District. Sure, Moses was arrested for beating his girlfriend in 2012, charged with A&B, and had a restraining order taken out against him because the victim feared for her life. But that’s nothing compared to Trump-inspired hate speech. Plus, the victim ended up recanting, and as Maura Healey knows, victims of domestic violence NEVER recant and go back to their abuser. Ever.

Oh, and if you’re a Trump supporter who got beat up for voting for the winner, you can’t call the hotline. You’re not really a victim. You brought this on yourself for voting for the bigoted pussy grabber. If someone hurt themselves punching you in the face then you should actually be charged for making them do it. What option did they have?

Anyway, back to real Turtleboy. We wanted to see what it was like when you actually call this number. So we gave them a ring and the nice woman on the other end asked what we wanted to report. We told her that people were calling Turtleboy racist and sexist even though that stuff wasn’t true. She asked where these crimes were occurring and we told her Facebook. She told us that this was freedom of speech. Naturally then we asked her what constituted a hate crime. She said she’d go check and be right back. She then hung up on Turtleboy.

In other words, she has absolutely no idea what a hate crime is. I mean, I hated being called racist when I’m not, so…..what am I missing here? Oh yea, hate crimes only work one way. You can shit all over the anti-PC crowd because they’re the bad guys. But the PC patrol cannot have their feelings hurt. Ever. And whatever they report is the 1,000% truth. Murica.

We’ll call again and try to record it. You should do the same and send it to us. This could have hilarious consequences. Seriously, clog this line with bullshit calls, because it’s mere existence is a joke and we should be treating it like one.

P.S. This woman called me a deplorable:

Can I report her too?

Please bare in mind that recording any phone call without consent is a federal crime folks

Wrong… Where did you go to law school? You should get a refund.

Federal law permits recording telephone calls and in-person conversations with the consent of at least ONE of the parties. … This is called a “one-party consent” law. Under a one-party consent law, you can record a phone call or conversation so long as you are a party to the conversation.

However, some states have separate requirements, such as informing the other party, etc. But it is not a federal crime.

Turtleboy… how is that you attract so many legal experts that seem to be so wrong about laws? Internet lawsuits abound!!!!

My girlfriend and I were accosted by an overly aggressive panhandler at the end of the Belmont St. exit this morning. I was on my way to Memorial Hospital for a colonoscopy, feeling kind of shitty (no pun intended) and this deranged asshole started yelling obsenities at us. I thought that he was going to punch the window. I was wondering if I could call Maura Healey’s hotline and report this threat?

My lawfully purchased and registered semi auto rifles are now illegal, retroactively. My property has been deemed contraband without due process or restitution.
    Can Maura help me?????

Yeah – NO. You aren’t an illegal, a liberal, a Democrat, a minority, etc. In other words – actual law abiding citizens that pay taxes aren’t allowed to have rights anymore. That’s what you get when you elect Dems.

This so called attorney general is now making laws. Isn’t that what our legislators are suppose to be doing? Hopefully this will get shot down when it goes to court, but it should never have gotten to this point.

And what is up with Maura’s face anyway. Did she get shot left to right/right to left right through and through her face? Don’t tell me those are natural dimples. I had no idea they have dimple enhancement surgical procedures for MA AGs…

What a waste of taxpayer money. Charlie Baker should shut that down. It seems he’s more liberal than concervative. I’m a little disappointed with him so far,but way better than spend it all Devall.

Not really a waste of taxpayer money, since it’s all being handled by the existent staff. Really the only cost was setting up the 800 number—pretty insignificant

Human resources cost money. They could actually be doing things that actually benefit taxpayers. Wasted time is wasted money.

Yeah – just a little more money to be spent protecting the “rights” of her political base, while stomping on the Constitution and the rights of those that actually pay for all this totalitarian crap.

So your argument is that there HASN’T been a spike in racially motivated assaults since the election, despite the evidence suggesting that there has been? And that being called names on Facebook is equivalent to being physically assaulted? Jeez somebody get this turtle a safe space already!

What evidence? Give me ONE PROVEN case – and facebook stories don’t count. Nor do pictures of graffiti with no evidence of who the perpetrator actually was.

He won’t. Likely the type that is reporting fake incidents – or actually creating the hate crimes themselves, ala Al Sharpton – like the Lunenburg mom, Natick faker, Rachel Dolezal, etc.

        You know… liberals!

This is so amazing! Now I have someone to call when the President-elect does the mean awful things that he does to me. Just last weekend, he invited me to go fishing with his boys… when we got there, he tied me to the pier and they whipped me with their rods… I hear him say terrible awful things on the airwaves. Can’t anyone see how mean and awful he is towards me? He whips me with the rods all about the assy-neck and and it makes my hemorrhoids hurt something awful. I mean they’re tearing the ass out of me…
