The Boston Globe Was Shamed Into Admitting They Got The Trooper Genduso Story From Turtleboy But They Still Haven’t Linked Us And They Screwed Up Our Name

After the Boston Herald shamelessly tried to pass off the Trooper Leigha Genduso story as their own, the Boston Globe quickly followed suit. And just like the Herald they completely forgot to mention the fact that she was both mentioned in Turtleboy, and an admitted pot dealer, pill popper, tax evader, money launderer, and perjurer. Consequently they were also destroyed in the comments section:

Then we were CC’d on this email that a Brookline doctor sent to what appears to be half the reporters at the Globe, along with other media and politicians:

Loved it. So we replied all:

Literally an hour or two later they updated their story with the following:

It’s a start I guess. The blog is called TurtleboySports.com and it’s not linked. We emailed them back to make the final change. We shall see if they give into our demands once again. It’s kind of important because this story will get bigger, and the bigger media outlets will link to the Globe, so it’s important for the TBS Revolution for us to be linked in their story.

Feel free to contact the two authors who wrote this Globe article if you think they should link us and call us by our real name:

Shelley Murphy can be reached at Shelley.Murphy@globe.com. Follow her on Twitter @shelleymurph. John R. Ellement can be reached atellement@globe.com. Follow him on Twitter @JREbosglobe.

But they did add this to the story:

Police declined Thursday to release details on the investigation or answer questions about how someone involved in such a high-profile criminal case — investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration with help from State Police — could get hired and promoted within the agency.

State Police spokesman David Procopio said State Police “conduct rigorous background checks” on potential employees, which include lengthy written applications; oral interviews; checks of criminal, driving, and credit histories; questions about use of controlled substances; and interviews with previous employers, known acquaintances, and references.

That process “is followed for all candidates, as it was for Trooper Genduso,” Procopio said. “If during that process the department learns of any information that disqualifies the candidate for employment, the candidate will not be hired.”

So let me get this straight. This hack David Procopio says that in order to become a state trooper candidates must answer questions about use of controlled substances. Then in the very next breath he says that this process was followed for Trooper Genduso. A woman who readily admitted that she not only smoked pot every day, she sold it by the kilo and laundered the profits so the police could never find it.

Yup, that will make the public trust the Massachusetts State Police brass. Nothing to see here. Totally NOT covering anything up.

Fuck David Procopio. He’s gotta go too.

TB forgot to mention that Leigha was paid 151k salary. That’s a lot of weed. At least 2 more bags like the one in the photo.

The issues on the staties continue. Another example is the promotion to the rank of captain of a guy that was arrested in Saugus a few years ago for drunk driving in his unmarked cruiser following a brief chase with the locals following a drunken brawl with his girlfriend. His punished reduced his rank in trooper, but he has been able to top the promotional tests and is right back to where he started as a captain. Pathetic !!

My email to the shitbag Globe reporters.

    Ms. Murphy and Mr. Ellement,

You both should be embarrassed for stealing a lead from another source and failing to mention that important fact to the nine (9) readers you have left. Doesn’t it bother you that you work for an organization whose reporting is subjective, often times inaccurate and very often lazy? I guess it does not as you seem to fall in line with those traits. If there was a democrat in office, your paper would essentially be state run media driven by a socialist agenda. Does it bother you that your paper allowed and protected employees that are sexual harassers, while at the same time supporting the me too movement? To the average level headed reader, that would qualify as hypocritical. To the woman that were harassed, I imagine the behavior on the part of the Globe was upsetting and potentially emotionally damaging. I hope you can sleep at night working for an organization that lacks all integrity but you know what they say “when in Rome.”

I thought plagiarism was a bad thing ? Oh wait – Mike Barnacle was a plagiarist and now enjoys a great gig on MSNBC. Maybe that’s why the others refuse to cite Turtleboy Sports. Because they are thinking well if Barney can do not and get a great gig, maybe it will work for us too !

They must have edited the webpage once again, this was at 12:00 tonight – ” after details of her past were posted Monday on a blog, Turtleboysports.com.” Everyone should keep taking them to task, until they are forced to site and cite it right.

Old school journalists like the Globe and the Herald really haven’t figured out New Media yet and are still operating on essentially a print paradigm. Kudos to TBS for real journalism.

Yep. I still feel badly that she had to be ripped apart by the turtle, but unfortunately, this is how politics works…whether it be city, state, or country. This bullshit has to stop, so kudos to TBS for uncovering this. Will it stop all the politics and favors for those sleeping with the right person?
Probably not which is why stories like this must come out. McGovern was the first female Commander in the MA State Police. Too bad she couldn’t carry out the job with dignity rather than becoming one of the “good ol’ boys.”

This is Massachusetts. Merely scratching the surface. If you were to rip apart each agency by city, town etc. Your jaw would drop at the level of nepotism in fire, police and corrections… Chief’s kids who piss hot for cocaine, get fired from cushy jobs yet still end up on the pd because of dadddyyy. Kids who fail the academy but get shot after shot instead of getting terminated for sucking. COs who get removed from specialized units due to not bring trusted get promoted over people who have toed the line for years. Women who can NOT do the job they’re paid for but stay around to check the diversity box. List goes on.

Ok, Batman fan, care to tell us any stories about something slimy going on that should be but isn’t being covered by “Main Stream” investigative reporting?

The best Batman movie would have had Jack Nicholson as the Batman instead of the Joker. That Batman wouldn’t have given a fuck. Turtleboy doesn’t give a fuck.

I’m not a big fan of the real racists or the SJW pretending to be racists in the comments. I’m also not a big fan of T/B sometimes jumping a bit too quick on a story. But, for the most part, I see things here that do not covered by the MSM or the MSM pretties up before they report on it.

Turtle Boy is real… Batman is pretend…
Don’t forget that minor detail in your head to head comparison.
