Editor’s Note: The post this blog is about has been removed, because somehow it’s mean to the mailman to show a video of him chucking a package at someone’s door:

This mailman in Shrewsbury just redefined no fucks given Friday:

Amzing. He was literally three or four steps from the stoop. He walked 25-30 paces just to get there before finally saying “fuck it”

And tossing whatever’s in that thing directly at their door. Absolute cannon on that guy right there. He must be a whiz at ultimate frisbee. Bet you can throw a package all the way over them mountains over there!

But seriously, can’t figure out why the USPS is going out of business. They take such pride in their work. Some people in the comments are all fired up, saying this guy should lose his job and shit. But come on now, that was fucking hilarious. I laughed every time he did it. That’s a guy who’s been on the job a long time and clearly stopped giving a shit shortly after 9/11. Maybe just a stern talking to and a pep talk about the importance of those last couple steps.

I dont understand why people have to go to social media for everything. There is nothing social about social media, its a participation trophy world we live in, otherwise you can hurt or offend somebodys feelings. Its not a acceptable move by the carrier, but instead of post the video, the owner should talked to him instead or even call the postmaster of the town. Cheap blow by the owner!

The UPS man puts the package in a clear plastic bag and places it on the mat in front of the door so it doesn’t get wet. That’s the difference.

Not to excuse Mr. McFeely there hucking his speedy delivery at someone’s front door, but mailmen must be pissed about Amazon.
If order shit on Amazon and it doesn’t fit in my mailbox, my mailman has to drive into my driveway, get out, bring that shit to the porch, and back out. Must take him an extra hour or two to finish his route.
He probably used to get home before his old lady even left work, plenty of time to jerk off and have a few beers. Now when he gets home, the cow is probably there already.

Since he is in such a hurry to get out of the neighborhood that he can’t be careful with a package, he’d be a better fit in Main South or Vernon Hill delivering to the pitbull wrangling pajama clad set that are asleep and not wrangling the pitbulls in the a.m. rather than in Shrewsbury. Have fun, gunslingah!!!!

Kegger appears to assert that being “pro-union” means “anti-work-ethic.” Just do your job half-ass, toss those packages, why give a fuck about your job – you’re in a union, so whoop-dee-do – “I’m special, give me muh wages and extraordinary benefits! You’ll suffer my shitty services and fuckin’ live with it!”

Seems about right. That’s why unions are failing. FWIW, my small town in TX has experienced similar issues with an affirmative action postmaster. She does a shitty job in one town, but the USPS won’t fire her – they just move her to another town to fuck up. I guess our town was next on the list for her to fuck up, which she did. She was “reprimanded” by being made to move to another town to fuck up. “Fuck things up” defines her career. But she’ll retire like a queen.

First of all, walking up to someone’s house is ridiculous….and nowadays potentially dangerous. Every city and town should have curbside mailboxes. If the package fits, it gets put in there. If not, they get a nice little notification to get it at the post office. Not sure what Shrewsbury has for residential mailboxes, but no one in Worcester has them because they might interfere with the plows shoehorning 6 foot piles of snow up on the sides of the road or city trash collectors whipping your recycling bin back in your yard.

Dick move throwing somebody’s package, but he could be citizen of the year in Warchester, Springfield, Holyoke, New Bedfid, Lawrence… etc etc. Society has gone to shit, at least this goofy-bastard shows up for work.

When my Hustler and Juggs porn mags come in the mail the pages are bent and sticky, no complaints, that’s the price of American excellence.

I mean, I would’ve been pissed if my PW tossed my shit into my door. What if I had ordered something fragile and he broke it? I unfortunately dont have a camera so I’d be fucked. So yeah, maybe he stop being a dick. He chose that career and chose to keep it as a career. Its not the citizen’s problem if he’s sick of his job.

You know what Turtleboy : you deliver packages from Amazon 7 days a week to $650,000 houses then pick them up because the clothes either don’t fit or whatever . Meanwhile your a union joe working for Uncle Sam dealing with white shirt bosses that are incompetent idiots . You’d throw a package or two yourself . Fuck the turtle . You take sides against a union man

I’m sure it didn’t say handle with care or you’ll hurt my feelings on it. Really maybe he should have caressed it and said goodbye to your vibrator while he had to deliver 200 other packages to your neighbors because everyone wants to shop online and expect it to be there the next day. Maybe you should support stores and go shopping before they all close and they have you by the balls and raise prices. Oh and have you been on the highways lately all tractor trailer trucks clogging up the roads and rest areas because you wanted it overnighted. the railroads are falling by the wayside only to be turned into bicycle paths so you can feel save riding your bicycle.

This is a good point. … even as someone who is prone to buying Chinese junk that smells like the tears of ten year olds, you get what you pay for. Except the dude who flings it on your doorstep makes a sweat shop kids annual salary in like, a week. So he needs to man up and become a respectable part of the supply chain .

This is the best you could do. A 60 year old guy lobbing a package onto a step? You sound like a whiny millennial. Sure if the package said fragile and felt like it had something that could break, then this is a dick move. On the other hand it could weigh 1 pound and be a T-shirt. I’m gonna give the guy the benefit of the doubt that in the 30 years(guessing) that he has been a post officer, he can make those decisions for himself. I personally don’t give a flying shit if my post officer fires my amazon package of chips ahoy out of a cannon as long as I get them
Stop acting like a bitch and outing people for stupid shit. Stick with the stuff that matters.

USPS isn’t going out of business, and even if it was, the idea that it’s because of this ONE guy in Shrewsbury is ludicrous.

They do run at a loss, but they receive no tax funds from the Treasury. All of their budget is self-financed through their sale of stamps and other products.

Sadly, facts don’t pay the bills for this website, clicks do. And the theme of our country falling into disarray and chaos is a profitable one. Making a living by peddling fear, uncertainty, and doubt to your fellow countrymen/women is shameful.

Are their pensions self-funded? Nope. USPS itself notes that it’s pensions and health obligations are underfunded by a rate of nearly 50%. Whose tax money do you think is going to pay for that?

Also, you do realize that there are prohibitive laws in place that prevent any other mail carrier or distributor to deliver directly to residential or business owned mailboxes? The USPS is also exempt from almost every form of tax that all other carriers have to pay. In addition, while the Treasury may not make direct payments to USPS, they are allowed to borrow at a subsidized interest rate. Who do you think subsidizes that rate?

Do you know what the above creates? A monopolized non-competitive situation in which the USPS doesn’t have to adapt or streamline, and competition from similar service is essentially barred.

Sadly, facts don’t have a place in your post. Do a quick google search. In an article published March 2015, Fortune magazine estimated that the value of subsidy that USPS receives every year from taxpayers is nearly $18 billion. And yes, this one example from Shrewsbury is symbolic of why exactly institutions like the USPS are a problem. This guy will retire and get paid 80% of the average of his highest earning 3 years in perpetuity until he dies. Guaranteed he’s been mailing it in (no pun intended) for a while, whereas in the private sector, where most of us operate, he would’ve been summarily fired decades ago.

        November 3, 2017 at 4:52 pm

Excellent reply. Lefty loonies have these “ talking points” that sound good but are blatantly deceptive. The USPS getting no funds is one of the big ones. The other big one is that defense takes 40 % of discretionary funding. Sounds like a lot unless you know that discretionary funding is only 33% of the total budget. Two thirds of the budget is mandatory. (Entitlements)

Friend! You’re completelly wrong! Absolutelly nothing that comes in or out of the USPS comes from tax payers, the government take a crap load of money from them stating thats not enough, thats why you see postal trucks broken down all over the place. Retirment, pension and everything else comes from usps itself not anybody’s taxes money!

          November 3, 2017 at 10:08 pm

Friend, we ain’t friends. Facts don’t care about your feelings. Yes, of course, you are right. The USPS is the victim here. Unionized overpaid civil servants that have guaranteed government benefits and healthcare. The guy above probably scored a 7 on the SATs but makes 60k plus to do the same thing every day of his life; something that requires no intellectual or physical skill. That guy throwing that package is the antithesis of free Capitalism. He is protected by the monopolization of an outdated service.
