After a long (or short) night out at the Blarney, you often find yourself wanting to shove a bunch of food down your gullet. You look across the street and you see Wendy’s. But everyone knows that Wendy’s sucks now that the Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers are no longer on the dollar menu. So you look next door to Blarney Chinese food, only to find that it is no longer there because they burned the place to the ground for the insurance money lost their business in the great Blarney fire of 2013.

Luckily for you there is a magical place adjacent to the Blarney where you can go for post-Blarney miracles – Brick Oven Pizza Factor – our latest stop on the Turtleboy Pizza Tour de Worcester County.

Brick Oven Pizza Factory is a relatively newer establishment, which has been around for about a year. They will soon be renaming the place Worcester Pizza Factory.

It’s not the biggest place in the world, but yesterday when we went it was filled with some prim looking star gazers from Clark. And just like a lot of places we’ve been to, they have a lot of delicious looking stuff on their menu

But as you know, this pizza tour is about one thing and one thing alone – hot cheese. Here’s what a pie looks like from Brick Oven Pizza Factory

And it passed the Turtleboy – “will the cheese come off when I take off a slice” test:

As for the pizza itself, here’s what I liked about it. The bottom of the pizza had these delicious crumbs. I’ve seen these before, but they’re hard to come by. I don’t know exactly what it is or what causes it, but more pizza places need to make use of this tactic. The cheese was solid (as in very good), and the crust was nice and chewy, so I actually ate it this time, much to the displeasure of Mrs. Turtleboy (she thinks she automatically gets my crust).

The one thing that is distinct about this place is the sauce. It’s noticeably sweeter than most. If you’ve ever been to Espresso’s in Fitchburg, it’s exactly like that. Personally, I’m not a sweet sauce kind of guy. I mean, I’ll eat it because no food in the world is better than pizza. But it’s just not my cup of tea. Overall I give it a very solid B+.

Mrs. Turtleboy gave this her highest rating yet, an A. She loves delicious crust, and she LOVES the sweet sauce.

As for Turtleboy Jr. he’s pretty much the happiest boy in the world right now. Wouldn’t you be? You get cheese pizza all the time. I wish my Dad wrote for Turtleboy Sports. But he still managed to fuck it up of course because he’s Turtleboy Jr, resident savage. Once he found out that cheese can be taken off of the pizza with his fingers, it was game over. He peeled the cheese off of every slice and started eating it. Then he found out you could poke holes in the cheese and he put it on his face. Cleaning him up was a nightmare. But he went to be satisfied so I’d say he gives it an A-. Anyone wanna do some babysitting this weekend?

This is some classic stuff here::”But he still managed to fuck it up of course because he’s Turtleboy Jr, resident savage.” It’s worth reading the reviews just for these gems!!!!!

I suppose they are changing the name from Brick Oven Pizza because they don’t actually have a brick oven?
