So our Facebook issues aren’t going away any time soon, and our lawyers tell us that it’s gonna be a long battle in court with this corrupt, billion dollar monopoly. We will get our page back, we will get restitution, and they will correct the problem. It’s just gonna take a while. In the meantime business must go on as usual. Here’s how you can help:

  • Donate to the Turtle Fund by clicking on the PayPal button on all of our blogs. Google Adsense has been demonetizing our blogs, meaning that the rates they pay per view have gone down dramatically as a result of trolls mass reporting us to Google for fraudulent violations as well (all these Silicon Valley companies are the same bullshit). We’re not in danger of shutting down or anything like that, but if it went on for a long time it certainly would make it harder to keep the business afloat. The fact of the matter is that this is the world we are living in now. The anti-free speech Nazis harass advertisers that pay to be seen on one of the most popular media outlets in New England. They take down our social media pages because they’ve figured out how to exploit Facebook’s deficiencies. They attack our Google Adsense accounts as well. The only way to fight back against them is to donate. You have a right to have this platform continue to break real news stories for you. But it doesn’t run on magic beans and happy thoughts. Your continued patronage is greatly appreciated. We won’t stop fighting for you, so please keep fighting for us.

  • Start emailing us instead of messaging us on Facebook. The best way to reach us is turtleboysports@gmail.com.
  • Clarence Woods Emerson is suspended for 20 more days. SSTG, NSTB, WMTG, and MVTB all have their pages suspended 30 days as well. It’s almost impossible for us to post using our business pages because the admins are all suspended constantly and will be moving forward so long as Facebook’s content moderating system continues to be arbitrary and capricious. Secretary Turtle has admin control so she just keeps adding new burner pages we create, but since Facebook tracks your data and IP’s, new pages we create only last a few hours.
  • Stop messaging Clarence Woods Emerson for now. Just email us at turtleboysports@gmail.com. Every day Clarence gets dozens of messages from turtle riders with story ideas and business propositions. We cannot respond to you. We see it, and we are not ignoring you. However, if we continue to be reliant on Facebook for messaging purposes then we are doing exactly what this evil corporation wants us to do. People need to stop using Facebook for everything. By doing so we become dependent on them, and as you saw last week in Washington DC, they are run by complete fucking idiots who have no idea what they are doing.

Now for the latest fuckery that we will be adding to our class action lawsuit with Facebook….

For a week now we’ve been getting notifications that posts on the Turtleboy Sports and Turtleboy Sports Forever Facebook pages have been getting flagged as spam. We have no idea why and there’s no way to appeal any of this. Then today this happened:

Both pages are “restricted form accessing some Facebook features.” What does that mean? Well this is what shows up on our page on our end:

Facebook’s new agorithms already made it hard enough for turtle riders to see our page. For instance, you could choose “See First” on your settings for our page, and you will not see it first in your news feed. Now it’s completely gone. It will never, ever appear in your news feed until April 22. The only way to see it is by going directly to our page which makes it impossible for new people to find us and follow the turtle.

But wait, it gets better. Check out what they’re doing at the top of the Turtleboy Sports page:

They’re soliciting us to boost our posts. Ya got that? They’ve hidden our posts from you and now they’re trying to charge us for you to see them again. In reality if we paid to boosts the posts, people still would not be able to see them because of the restrictions they’ve put in place. They’re literally trying to steal our money. It would be like Direct TV trying to charge you for HBO after they destroyed your satellite dish. Their system is clearly dysfunctional, because why would they be soliciting boosted posts from a page that is essentially invisible anyway?

So why are we being shut down for spam? Well we checked out the analytics of each post to find out. Let me know if you notice a pattern:

Every single post is being reported for spam by exactly two people, or possibly one person with two accounts. This is all it takes to shut down any page on Facebook. You just go through the entire page and report hundreds of posts for spam. If you do this enough it will trigger Facebook’s robots and they will shut your page dow like they did to ours. It’s that easy to manipulate the world’s largest social media platform, because they’re too cheap to hire human beings to see if these reports are actually credible.

Anyway, people tell us all the time, “you should just leave Facebook.” Believe me, that would be great. It would also be a very poor business plan. We go to Facebook because that’s where the people are. When 68% of Americans us a platform on a daily basis you’d be an idiot not to be there. It is the public square, and we are a media outlet. Most of you reading like this found us because of Facebook. We have a right to use Facebook. They are a business and we are a paying customer. Businesses don’t have the right to discriminate against paying customers. Ask those bakers who didn’t wanna make those cakes for gay weddings in Indiana.

This is a business, we don’t have the option to leave Facebook. We have nowhere else to go. The fact of the matter is that Facebook is a monopoly, and until some free speech advocate entrepreneur wants to put their money where their mouth is and invest in a true free speech social media platform, everyone will continue to be reliant on the evil empire.

On that note, follow our newest page – Turtleboy Sports Returns.

It’s time to make a serious distinction going forward with this website: do you identify as a news outlet or a news blog?

I heard about you word of mouth in a Worcester bar 2 years ago. I hardly ever use facefuck. I saved you as a favorite and just click the icon several times a day. Maybe start your own social media platform? MySpace disappeared, replace by FB, then twitter, IG, snap and so on. You could end the monopoly. Turtleboy could then take over! Good luck, love what you guys/girls are doing

Facebook has no obligation to allow you to post on their website, they are not the government.

Hate to agree, but yeah, Y’FS is correct.

They aren’t the phone company. They aren’t an internet provider.

They are a bunch of scumbags. But these scumbags do have the right to do what they are doing.

Your right , but it’s a contractual agreement and they actually DO have an obligation. They can’t change the rules midstre. they Take money in turn they have to provide the service they charged for. #yfs you need a bone and chill the fuck out. Why you here?

That’s the thing. What ARE the rules?

Anybody bitches and the link is pulled? If that was the case 2 complaints should bring anybody down. It doesn’t. By using a wishy-washy definition they are doing what they please.

If TB needs FB to succeed, then it is what it is. I never go to FB. If that was the only entree’ to TB then no TB for me.

I find it surprising in the 1990s everyone complained about AOL and how many people thought AOL was the internet. AOL made it very hard to escape to the real internet. People learned. I can’t believe that people stay in one eco-system. I don’t even have TB bookmarked. I bring up a browser, I enter turtleboysports using whatever search engine is being used, click the link and I’m here.

Good sir, I did not come upon this blog through the Facebook. It was, in fact, your vivacious reporting of the crummiest towns in Massachusetts.

May I suggest more bone ride pieces?

How about a ranking of the state’s most ratchet stretches of freeways? I just took 24 from Fail River up through Brockton, that’s a top contender. 495 between Lowell and Lawrence? 190 from Fitchburg/Leominster to Burncoat in the Woods? Potential is endless.
