UMass Officially America’s Team Because Penn State Morons Are Planning a “Joe Out” To Support Child Molester Enabling Coach On Saturday

Penn State fans are trying their hardest to rebuild late football coach Joe Paterno’s reputation. It’s been well-established that assistant Jerry Sandusky molested multiple young boys during Paterno’s tenure — with or without the head coach’s knowledge — but some residents of Happy Valley will not rest until the Paterno mystique is re-established. The latest effort is something called a “Joe-Out.” It’s not entirely clear what a “Joe-Out” would entail, but it’s the brainchild of devoted PSU alumni, according to the Centre Daily (Pa.) Times. Presumably, it would be something like the popular “black-outs” and “white-outs” at college stadiums across the country, only with thick-lensed glasses and khaki pants rather than monochrome T-shirts. The Nittany Lions (3-0) host UMass (0-3) this Saturday. “He will forever stand as a great founder of our university, shoulder to shoulder with Atherton, Beaver, Pattee, Sparks and more,” alumnus Susan Beth Wilson told the Times, listing influential individuals in Penn State’s history. “There will be other coaches, other presidents, other trustees and great men in Penn State’s future, but that does not mean we should forget this one man, who made Penn State great. My family and I eagerly await the future — but we will never forget to honor Joe.

An independent investigation into the Sandusky scandal concluded Paterno might have helped conceal facts related to Sandusky’s sexual abuse of young boys, though a state prosecutor said no evidence could be found that the coach participated in a cover-up. The NCAA initially levied a $60 million fine and a four-year bowl ban, vacated Penn State’s 112 wins between 1998 and 2011, and took away 40 scholarships over a four-year span. The bowl ban and scholarship restrictions were lifted earlier this month “due to … significant progress toward ensuring its athletic department functions with integrity,” the NCAA said.

If these idiots really wanna honor the legacy of Joe Paterno, they will go to the game and not watch it at all. You know, look the other way. Like Joe Pa did.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Penn State is a disease. These people need rehabilitation and psychological help. All of them. There’s no other explanation for it. Everyone with a brain realizes that Joe Paterno allowed a child molester to molest half of Pennsylvania because he obviously didn’t think child rape was that big of a deal. These are undeniable facts. He told the campus police and his bosses. Nothing happened. Oh well, right? He did his part.

Apparently at Penn State this makes you a HERO!! A “Joe Out?” That might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. First of all, these people are all frauds. Here is Joe Paterno’s record at Penn State from 2000-2004:

Screen Shot 2014-09-18 at 7.09.51 PM

Newsflash – you people ALL wanted Joe Paterno fired in 2004. All of you. Who wouldn’t? He was 26-33 over that time and finished DEAD LAST in the Big Ten five years in a row. Northwestern plays in the Big Ten. Somehow the greatness that was Joe Pa couldn’t find a way to beat Northwestern ONCE in five years. And guess what? You people were all right. The guy was a geriatric ten years before he finally croaked. He was incapable of doing his job. The classic old guy with no clue what was going on around him.

But he insisted on staying the coach at Penn State, because just like most college coaches, it’s all about him. So is it any wonder he thought that NOT calling the State Police was a wise idea? Nope. Joe was in complete control of everything that was going on at Penn State. Except for all the child rape. That doesn’t count of course.

Look, I get why these people don’t wanna forget this guy. He won a shitload of football games for one of the greatest college programs in history. But maybe, just maybe all the HONORING should stop? Just a thought. Because at the end of the day he’s a guy that did all that while one of his coaches was molesting children and using Penn State as the bait. Apparently this makes him a “humanitarian” in Happy Valley:

Is there a bigger dumbass than Jarrad James? Unfortunately he’s your average Penn State fan. Let’s look at what else he’s saying on:

Sounds like this guy’s a pretty big bad ass. “Everyone in my high school would TOTALLY kick your ass man!!!” I love urban legends like this. When I first got to college everyone had a story like this. Everyone had a some kid from their hometown who supposedly was the baddest ass mofo on the planet. People would legitimately get in arguments about whether their bad ass friend from home could kick their friend’s bad ass friend from home. Anyone who engages in this is obviously a moron.  AKA your standard Penn State fan.

He really hates Florida State too apparently…

Yea, Jimbo Fisher you’re a joke of a coach. You’re not a humanitarian like Joe Pa. I mean, under Jimbo’s watch his nudnik quarterback got caught stealing crab legs and yelling “fuck her right in the pussy” for no reason whatsoever. That’s like a million times worse than having one of your coaches rape boys consistently for 15 years. Do you even understand how hard it is to find good crab legs? Because I know a woman in Worcester that’s been looking for them at every Chinese buffet in town!!

Screen Shot 2014-09-18 at 7.50.21 PM

It doesn’t get more Penn State than this tweet. These delusional morons have developed a victim complex. Us against the world. The poor innocent fans who wanna honor a child molester’s primary enabler are being crucified by assholes who don’t realize that football is more important than protecting children. Now what am I gonna wear to the Joe Out? That’s the real question.

Screen Shot 2014-09-18 at 7.50.51 PM

Make it stop. Hey Jarrad, you can’t be older than 18. You never went to school at the same time that Joe Pa was alive. You have no connection to him whatsoever. You do have a connection to Penn State, so if you wanna root for them hard then more power to ya. But once you start pulling this Joe Pa shit, you’re basically announcing to the world that you’re a giant asshole.

All I gotta say is, how fucking AWESOME would it be if UMass went into Penn State and beat this team? Yea, they got their ass beat against Boston College, but in case you didn’t see last week when they beat #9 USC, those altar boys are pretty fucking good. Since then they nearly won in a shootout with Colorado, 41-38. Last week they lost a heartbreaker to “SEC” opponent Vanderbilt on the road, when their idiot kicker missed a 22 yard field goal and got a pity hug from some fat bastard:

NCAA Football: Massachusetts at VanderbiltTheyr’e only 27 point underdogs, so more than likely they’re gonna get their asses kicked. But nevertheless, everyone hates Penn State that doesn’t go there. So on Saturday the UMass Minutemen are America’s team. Imagine sending home a stadium full of idiots crying while dressed as a guy who protected a child molester, because one of the worst football teams in the country ruined their undefeated season? That would unite Americans more than the death of Osama bin Laden and Boston Strong t-shirt sales combined!!!

Feel free to share your thoughts to keep the conversation gong.

    We are…………..Pedophile State

You claim to have read the grand jury testimony, the Freeh Report, third party critique of the Freeh Report, and the Mitchell Report in their entirety. So you apparently believe the following:
    • Joe Paterno should have assumed Mike McQueary’s story was much worse than what he was told. The facts reveal that McQueary felt “uncomfortable mentioning sexual terms in front of Paterno” and watered down his story.
    • Then after inferring the facts from McQueary’s watered-down story Paterno was supposed to assume that his superiors would not do their jobs properly.
    • Then after checking in with his superiors regarding the outcome of the investigation (which the facts prove he did) he should have assumed the response he received (everything is fine) was a lie.
    • Then after finding out that the DISTRICT FUCKING ATTORNEY had refused to prosecute Sandusky even after being presented with evidence he should have done what? Made a goddamn citizens arrest!?

You say “Paterno should have done more”. However, check out this quote from the recently released NCAA handbook on how athletic departments should handle sexual abuse allegations:
“Athletic departments must cooperate with but not manage, direct, control or interfere with college or university investigations into allegations of sexual violence ensuring that investigations involving student-athletes and athletics department staff are managed in the same manner as all other students and staff on campus. Members of athletic departments should report immediately any suspected sexual violence to appropriate campus offices for investigation and adjudication.”
In other words the NCAA mandates that athletic department employees do EXACTLY WHAT PATERNO DID.

You go on to claim that Paterno cared about football above all else. Problem is, FIFTY FUCKING YEARS of his life prove otherwise:
    • Paterno was known to self report his own players for NCAA violations. He banned his best player, Curtis Enis, from the 1997 Citrus Bowl for accepting a suit as a gift from an agent. How many big time coaches would do that!?
    • He refused to even recruit players who weren’t also solid students because he truly believed in the concept of STUDENT athletes.
    • Joe and his wife donated millions of dollars to Penn State. To improve football facilities, right? WRONG, to build a library and spiritual center on campus. In fact, James Franklin has stated that the football facilities at Penn State are antiquated compared to perennial SEC cellar dweller VANDERBILT’S.

You claim Penn Staters love Paterno because he “won football games”. You have absolutely no clue what the hell you’re talking about. We love Paterno because of his “success with honor” mentality, because he was a family man, a throwback to an era gone by. He proved that you could build a successful college football program with a team of students who believed in family, community, and education BEFORE football. THESE are the reasons we love Paterno, NOT because he “won football games”. As he admitted on his death bed, his greatest regret in life was that he hadn’t done more regarding Sandusky. Wishing he had done more does not equal being involved in some elaborate cover-up to protect the football program.

The saddest part of this whole story is the wasted opportunity to discuss how scum like Sandusky get away with their crimes for so long. Instead of focusing on Paterno why don’t we focus on the fact that an entire institution and indeed an entire statewide system failed these poor children? This case clearly shows how dirtbags like Sandusky get away with what they do. They are very, VERY good at pulling the wool over the eyes of otherwise intelligent, caring people. Let’s not forget that the following people knew much more about the details of allegations and evidence against Sandusky: the school president, the head of campus police, local town police departments, the district attorney, the attorney general. In fact, the attorney general, who when presented with evidence against Sandusky assigned one investigator to the case, ONE, is now the governor of Pennsylvannia. If you’re truly concerned with the victims why the fuck aren’t you writing articles condemning the governor? I’ll tell you why, because you’re nothing other than a mass media parroting zombie. Oh CNN, ESPN, Deadspin, sports talk radio told me Paterno is evil therefore Paterno is evil. You’re a chump, dude. Keep hiding behind your keyboard and fictional identity; wouldn’t want to actually be a man and stand behind your opinions afterall.

Do you feel that they took advantage of Paterno’s age? As you say he was a “throwback to an era gone by.” Too trusting of authority figures? I do see a little bit of passing the buck on Paterno’s part, but this isn’t as if he was Cardinal Law knowingly moving people around to keep a scandal quiet.

There’s a lot of anger in the Penn State community directed at the Board of Trustees. It was common knowledge that most of the Board wanted Paterno out as far back as 2004. The feeling amongst a lot of alumni is that the Board used Paterno as a sacrificial lamb a) to show the public they were “doing something” b) to deflect scrutiny away from the school president and other high ranking school officials c) to finally replace Joe. I happen to believe this is true. The Board was made up of many corporate executives and politically connected folks. These people know how to handle a crisis to deflect attention away from them and their interests. They effectively turned the bulk of the heat and focus away from the school leadership and onto Paterno. The media obliged because “Paterno covers up molestation” is a much flashier headline than “entire system fails abuse victims”. In hindsight should have Paterno done more? Absolutely! However, hindsight is 20/20 and I have a very hard time believing that a man who did things “the right way” for 80 plus years would knowingly cover-up child molestation.

However, I would love to see UMASS bury them, purely for sporting reasons.

      • September 19, 2014 at 8:30 am

I actually have a good friend who works for UMass sports so I wouldn’t be devasated to see an upset. I’d be pumped for him and UMass. We’re bound to hit some sanction related depth issues this season at some point anyways. Although I won’t be rooting for the upset haha.

You just spent all that time writing a comment to defend a man who allowed a monster to rape children for 15 years while he was the captain of the ship. You literally just proved my entire point about Penn State fans. Well done.

      • September 19, 2014 at 6:21 pm

No, I spent all that time laying out a sound argument based on facts, which you seem to have an aversion to. Keep reguritating what the mass media has spoonfed you like the good little sheep you are. Guess I shouldn’t have expected more from someone who thinks using a meme generator is “creative”. Just like a turtle you only go after the low hanging fruit. When it’s time to step up to the plate and actually have an adult conversation/debate you crumble. If I were you I’d keep my identity hidden as well, spare yourself the embarrassment.
