UMass Women’s Lacrosse Scandal: 211 Goal Scorer Katie Ferris Turns UMass Superfan Josh Brown Over To UMass Athletic Administration

If you’ve followed UMass basketball at all the last few years, then you know who Josh Brown is. I first noticed him last year during games on TV. He’s kind of hard to miss. He’s tall. He’s African-American. He yells the entire game. And sometimes he is Captain America:

bgogmptiaaa7yz2-1

I first noticed him in person this year at the St. Bonaventure game. I saw him yelling at the St. Bona coach the entire game every time he stepped over the out of bounds line. Then every time I saw UMass on TV I heard someone in the background yelling, “Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes”, or “No, No, No, No,” when the other team was shooting. He is a man of few words at games, but he has no parallel in UMass fandom.

Some of you may be saying, “What about UMass Superfan Brian Long?” Well, when it comes to basketball and football B-Long has no UMass equal. But when it comes to ALL AROUND UMass fandom, Josh Brown is in a league of his own. Not only is he at every basketball game, he also doesn’t miss a women’s soccer match…

From the looks of it, I can’t say I really blame him. I would definitely invite all of those girls to ride on my magical turtle with me. God damn, Mrs. TurtleBoy isn’t gonna like this one!!

But alas, he’s been going off on UMass athletics lately on Twitter…

Screen Shot 2014-05-23 at 9.07.15 PMScreen Shot 2014-05-23 at 9.09.21 PM Screen Shot 2014-05-23 at 9.09.59 PMScreen Shot 2014-05-23 at 9.29.49 PM Screen Shot 2014-05-23 at 9.31.37 PM

So this whole thing seemed pretty vague today, but needless to say I wanted to know more. So I watched this video, which left me even more confused…

So I did a little interview with Mr. Brown to get to the bottom of this scandal. Turns out it revolves around UMass women’s lacrosse star Katie Ferris. Ever heard of her? She’s pretty much been facializing the Atlantic 10 for the last four years at McGuirk, scoring 211 goals in the process.

dt-33.common.streams.StreamServer.cls

Well, when you’re the star of a UMass athletic team you’re gonna be hearing from Josh Brown a lot. Comes with the territory. Apparently she didn’t like being “mentioned” by him on Twitter. Now I know a lot of you don’t have Twitter. A mention is kind of like being tagged in a post on Facebook. You get a notification and you see what that person said about you. Since Josh tweets a million times a day she evidently got more than she was willing to put up with, so she blocked him.

This was the beginning of World War 3.

Here’s what she wrote to him right before he got blocked:

Screen Shot 2014-05-23 at 9.09.00 PM

According to what I’ve put together from my interview with Josh Brown, he began to shun her publicly. No eye contact. No hello. No nothing. Complete power move on his part. You don’t block Josh Brown on Twitter and think you’re getting away with it scott free. In his words he began to say on Twitter that she was a “backstabber,” a “fake,” and a “bunch of other stuff” as well. He insists nothing was vulgar though.

So the question is, who the hell cares what Josh Brown says on Twitter? Well apparently Katie Ferris and some suits at UMass cared. They called Josh in for a closed door meeting on April 23rd. First of all, good for him for even showing up. No way I would. I mean, what authority do they have to ask a fan to come in and explain himself? I would’ve told em to beat it.

At the meeting they told Josh (according to him) that Katie was “living in fear,” and that they were “concerned about the safety of student athletes.”

See that right there? That’s fucking bullshit. She didn’t seem too scared of him here:

BoXnMvSCUAEdSuC

Look Katie, you’re lucky you have any fans that aren’t related to you. You play women’s lacrosse so let’s keep that in perspective. When I wrote to UMass Superfan Brian Long to find out more about your prowess, he said, “Who the hell is Katie Ferris?” If B-Long doesn’t know who you are then you don’t really matter.

Also, you’re a scholarship athlete. I graduated from UMass in 1902 and I’m still paying back loans. I owe J.P. Morgan 10K, and I’m not talking about the bank. I’m talking about the real J.P. Morgan. He’s the one who made me ride this God damn turtle for the rest of eternity because I couldn’t pay back the loan. Meanwhile, you get to go to this great university for free. You’re also from New York, which makes you a carpetbagger.

Sorry, but putting up with Josh Brown’s notifications on Twitter (which were ALL in support of you) is the small, minuscule price you have to pay for the freeloading. Plus, it’s not like you play a revenue producing sport. Women’s lacrosse is a taker, not a giver. You cost the school a lot of money and you only take in money from people like Josh who are willing to pay to watch you perform.

1969412_758015644238984_4524810054374961588_n

Is Josh Brown a little bit much? Sure I guess I can see that. I find his fandom to be fantastic and wish we had more fans like him, but apparently UMass women’s lacrosse administrators prefer the wine and cheese crowd. So the guy mentioned her on Twitter? Who gives a shit? If you don’t wanna communicate with him then ignore him and go about your day as you normally would.

But instead she did what so many people in our society do. They went and told an adult that they were being cyberbullied instead of speaking to the individual about it first. Josh Brown is a gentle giant that wouldn’t hurt a fly. I have a hard time believing every female athlete at UMass willingly posed for pictures with him if they were scared of him.

Josh is a giant fan, and one that Katie is lucky to have. Instead of appreciating him for what he is, she made a federal case out of it, painted a picture of him as a potential Chester the molester, and turned him off from UMass Athletics. I mean, why would he expend any energy on any team going forward if the star player is gonna humiliate him by forcing him to attend a meeting about player safety?

I’d love to hear Katie’s version of this story. I tried reaching you in the last 48 hours Katie but to no avail (private twitter). So if you’re reading this Katie, feel free to follow me @TurtleBoySports and we can present the other side of the issue here. I’m sure there’s more to be told, and since Turtleboy Sports strives to present the truth we would love to have you on so you can explain WTFIGO here.

Feel free to share your thoughts to keep the conversation going.

No lines were crossed. You’re just saying that just to cover up the fact you’ve been out binge driving, using fake id’s, going out and partying when you know you’re not suppose to.

The reason why Turtleboy Sports is calling people jerks for thinking Joshua is creepy because people with disabilities are always being labeled as creeps on the daily bases which is fucked up. That’s the problem with college athletic departments nationwide. They’re always trying to come up with a cover up every time their student athletes are in the wrong just like Florida State did in the Jamis Winston rape case which is why he got away with it. A few years later Jamis Winston’s accuser ended up winning the lawsuit three years later along with $950,000 in damages.

Sorry I just read the article as well as the comments. It doesn’t matter if the article is bipist or not. Believe it or not the UMass Athletic department didn’t handle the whole situation properly and they overlooked it as well. For of you that keep saying Joshua 30 or an older man how do you know? It sounds like profiling to me. People just don’t get the fact that athletics getting involved probably wasn’t a good idea especially if Joshua knows too much about what student athletes do off the field. As you can see UMass Athletics doesn’t post too much about women’s lacrosse, because they probably fear that people will post negativity towards about the program. Scandals can hurt people a lot more than false accusations. I don’t even know why people are making a federal case out of Joshua stopping by at some of the player’s house just make sure they’re still alive after they been drinking and partying. I don’t see anything creepy about that especially if they’re UNDERAGE and using FAKE ID’S get into bars such as a place called LIT.

UMass Amherst should quit treating Josh like he’s O.J. Simpson. I think it’s f**ked that they’re doing this to a person with aspergers. Katie Ferris should be kept away from people who have aspergers.

This is exactly more fans prefer men’s sports than woman’s sports. It’s also wrong that UMass Amherst is doing this to a person that has autism. The athletic department is a joke nowadays. They also wonna cut Josh Brown outta the picture like he’s Aaron Hernandez.

Sorry, I didn’t know anything about this until now. Is that how it is in today’s society? Diehard fans can’t be diehard fans and coaches can’t be coaches without anyone complaining or crying bully. I read all the other comments and the great majority is on Joshua’s side.

Listen as a former UMass player I’m very shocked to hear that a UMass player complained about Josh’s attention and support. When I see him at Berkshire dinning he always sits at the table with the football players. According to his Twitter he will no longer support UMass Athletics. The only thing the new staff know about Josh is his reputation. They don’t know him personally like the staff previous did.

Listen up. Cambridge Mass man is telling the truth. Josh is not a threat to anybody. He just has autism. Adults with autism can take things the wrong way depending on what you say to them. That’s why it’s very important to be careful what we say to anyone. My roommate has known Josh since middle school. People just don’t understand Josh.

    June 27, 2014 at 3:28 pm

This was sent to me last night and read the article. For those you that posted negative comments about Josh, y’all should be ashamed of yourselves, because a few people that Josh know before UMass Amherst told me that he has autism and it’s very important for UMass Athletics to know as well as Katie Ferris. Earlier this year the athletic department took part in the autism awareness month. Some people with autism do take things the wrong way. If any of you didn’t understand, I’ll repeat it. Josh Brown has AUTISM and I’m doing some more research on how to deal with adults with autism. I’m not making this whole thing up, so if you rate down this comment, people are gonna hate you for that. For those you that’s attacking Katie Ferris please STOP. It’s not gonna solve anything.

Sorry I just read, but listen UMass women’s lacrosse players should be lucky to have fans, because without fans their program would be cut just like Northeastern’s and Hofstra’s football program. Yes, Katie Ferris graduated, but it’s still bad for women’s lacrosse and that’s why more people prefer men’s sports than women’s sports.

Sorry I just saw this. UMass students nowadays became less accepting ever since the town started cracking down partying. UMass is not the same anymore. I remember seeing Josh at the Hobart Hoedown and he always kept that party going. He was also known as the UMass party animal. Back in my days on campus people were more social. I really don’t blame Amherst for cracking down, because this day and age people seem to end their problems with violence.

I understand Katie’s side as person, but as an athlete sending a message like that was completely outta line. If the messages were positive and in support of her record setting/breaking performance, then Josh really didn’t give Katie a reason to block him. What she could of did was nicely tell him to tone it down with the messages. You can’t always tell when someone gets annoyed. I understand she wanted to do it as nicely as possible, but blocking wouldn’t be the best idea. In this day and age, it’s very important to be careful about what we say people. It’s also very important to realize that one click online can do a whole lot of damage. What if Josh took his own life because of what Katie Ferris sent him? The University wouldn’t stay of the media. Rodney King once said ‘CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?? WE’RE STUCK HERE FOR AWHILE.’

According to what I heard all the messages Josh was sending Katie on social media were positive and apparently she didn’t like attention the from Josh, so she blocked him. When Josh didn’t take it very well it spooked her. Katie if you’re reading this I respect and understand your rights, but if the messages on social media were positive you could of just nicely tell him to tone it down instead of blocking him. Just a thought. It may not be a big deal to you, but it can send a wrong message in real life.

Maybe it’s time for josh to put on his “big boy pants” and start a career. It’s unhealthy to have that much time to tweet at female (and male) college athletes. Also, if josh did show up to the women’s lax house at 2am then it’s creepy, even if he rung the doorbell.

No one did, except maybe that guy who asked if Josh farted on her pillow. Rather immature if you ask me. I mean I get it, it’s kinda funny when you are in college to fart on someone’s pillow and rub your bare ass on their keyboards and dump a bunch of kitty litter in their bed, but it stops there. It isn’t mentioned anywhere that Josh actually did any of those things, so we really need to drop this type of misinformation altogether. Josh is a good fan, and there is no record ANYWHERE that he actually took a dump in Katie Ferris’ house without asking permission from at least 30% of her roommates. I understand that this is college and boys will be boys, but immature pranks and other tom foolery like smuggling champagne into UMass football games, getting to third base with the chancellor’s wife, and taking a huge dump in the sousaphone have no place in college sports. End of story.

I hope everyone knows that other people’s comments don’t reflect on Joshua and what Katie to sent Joshua doesn’t reflect the women’s lacrosse team, but I SURE HOPE A PLAYER ON THE TEAM STEPS UP AND APOLOGIZE TO JOSH ON KATIE’S BEHALF. Listen. Believe it or not Katie Ferris is in the wrong as well for sending ‘I HATE GETTING A MILLION MESSAGES FROM YOU EVERYDAY DAY ON EVERY FORM OF SOCIAL MEDIA THAT’S WHY I BLOCKED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE’ If the messages were all in support of her good performance on the field then that is the wrong message to send. ACTIONS WILL ALWAYS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. BOTH COLLEGE AND PRO ATHLETES ARE CONSIDERED ROLE MODELS WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. IF KATIE REALLY WANTS TO PROVE THAT SHE CAN BE A GOOD COACH, THEN SHE CAN START BY APOLOGIZING TO JOSH FOR THE MESSAGE SHE SENT AND JOSH HIMSELF SHOULD ALSO APOLOGIZE FOR ALL THE SAID STUFF HE TOWARDS AND ABOUT HER ON SOCIAL MEDIA AFTER SHE BLOCKED HIM ON SOCIAL MEDIA. IT WOULD ALSO BE A GOOD IDEA FOR BOTH OF THEM TO SETTLE THIS WHOLE THING WITH SOME COFFEE OR BEER. If President Obama, Harvard Professor Gates, and Cambridge police officer James Crowley can do it, then why can’t Katie and Josh do the same as well. It would be good for sides. What do you think? Please feel free to comment. No racist or vulgar comments please.

Listen. As a student at UMASS and one that played for UMASS athletics I can tell you that this has NOTHING to do with race. This also has nothing to do with Katie being from New York or spoiled. Katie is far from spoiled. I don’t know how any of you could make assumptions about her like that being that you don’t know her. Yes, josh brown is a UMASS super fan but in the past year or so he has gotten totally out of hand. He started showing up UNINIVITED to the womens lacrosse players homes and taking it upon himself to walk into the girls rooms telling them “he was just making sure they were safe” I understand he THOUGHT he was doing something nice, but at 2 am, there shouldn’t be anyone walking into your house uninvited. He became intolerable at the games as well, multiple times when crowds are supposed to be silent he would be screaming rude things to the refs, again, THINKING he was saying appropriate things. Bottom line is that Katie wanted him to leave her alone, and because he felt he couldn’t do that, administration needed to talk to him. I don’t see that as a problem. Like you said, hundreds appreciate Josh’s support so let’s let him focus on them.

Golf needs more action anyway… plus there is a lack of photographic evidence of Mr. Brown’s attendance at UMass Golf matches. Do they have drink girls at those, by the way?

Anyway, if I was a girl I would have no problem with Josh walking into my room in the middle of the night to check on me and make sure I was ok. If he was caught farting on my pillow or licking my Fudgecicles without asking, however, that would be another story. Like one time back in high school Matt went through this guy’s fridge and rubbed his butt all over all his celery and grape soda… it was awesome. Then someone else ordered the smut channel.

I’ve known Joshua since he was a little boy and yes he can be outta hand sometimes, but from what I heard one of the women’s lacrosse players SAVED HIM FROM FALLING DOWN A FLIGHT of stairs back in the fall of 2012. He only stop by just to check in with them in return. At least he’s showing that he’s grateful for that, because IF THAT PLAYER HADN’T SAVED JOSH FROM FALLING HE COULD OF DIED AND THE HOUSE WOULD OF BEEN ROPED OFF BY A YELLOW TAPE THAT SAYS ‘POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS’ Josh is also known to knock or ring door bells, because that’s how he was raised. They also seem to appreciate him checking on them after they went out partying. I understand that Katie wanted Joshua to leave her alone, but saying things like I HATE GETTING A MILLION MESSAGES FROM YOU EVERYDAY ON EVERY FORM OF SOCIAL MEDIA which most of them were in support of her good performance on the field made him feel that she never did appreciate his support. THE WORD ON THE STREET SAYS THAT SHE WANTS TO BE A COACH IN COLLEGE. NOW IF THAT’S TRUE, IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA FOR HER TO APOLOGIZE TO JOSH FOR SAYING THAT AND HAVE JOSH APOLOGIZE FOR ALL THE STUFF HE SAID THAT WAY BOTH SIDES ARE HAPPY PLUS WE ALSO HAVE TO REALIZE THAT BEING A JERK IN COLLEGE CAN STOP YOU FROM GETTING JOB. ESPECIALLY IF IT’S A COACHING OR HIGH PROFILE JOB.

I’ve spoken to Josh BEFORE THE YEAR ENDED and he wanted to know why she blocked him. I told Josh to chill, but he was too upset to listen. Katie Ferris never told him why she blocked him until a few weeks after she graduated. What may have upset a lot of people is her saying I HATE GETTING A MILLION MESSAGES FROM YOU EVERYDAY ON EVERY FORM OF SOCIAL MEDIA. That right there sends the wrong message. I saw the latest article about her on Inside Lacrosse and she wants to be a coach in college. If it’s true, like Ron said it would be best if Katie apologize to Josh for the message she sent him and have Josh apologize to Katie for all the stuff he said towards and about her on social media. THAT WAY EVERYONE’S HAPPY.

Or did Joshua became by chanting Daniel Bryan’s Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes?? If referees are gonna make bogus calls and favor the other team, of course he’s gonna yell rude things at the refs.

The way administration handled it was the problem. The reason why you don’t see as Joshua wouldn’t just say rude things to the refs for no reason. There’s a bunch of things about Josh that people don’t understand. You’re just covering up the fact the UMass athletes are out drinking and partying when they’re not suppose to. If your season is still in session, then your job is to study, practice, sleep, and repeat. PLUS I SAW SOME UMASS PLAYERS USING FAKE ID’S TO GET INTO THE BARS WHICH THAT’S ILLEGAL. SERIOUSLY STOP COVERING YOUR ASSES AND DO THE RIGHT THING BY TELLING THE TRUTH.

Joshua is not 30 years old. The guy is just being a fan. She’s lucky to have fans at her games. They should strip Katie from being co female athlete of the year. Real athletes don’t send messages like that to fans. Always be careful what you do in college, because it can stop you from getting a job.

This is absurd. The guy is just a fan showing his dedication and support to a team that clearly doesn’t have too many fans other than their friends and relatives. That women’s lacrosse player should be grateful to have the UMass super root her after winning all those awards plus that’s not UMass female athlete of the year behavior or material.

People need to relax. Joshua maybe a bit out of control, but he’s a good person and that women’s lacrosse player should be grateful to have fans especially if she was the UMass co-female athlete of the year. Does athletes like Derek Jeter or UMass alum Victor Cruz complain about getting a million notifications from fans showing their dedication and support? No they don’t. They always appreciate support from fans otherwise MLB or NFL wouldn’t exist. College and professional athletes should realized that they’re considered role models whether they like it or not.

Race should be even brought in to question as it has nothing to do with the situation. This article is super shitty. It doesn’t matter who you think is in the wrong, it’s her say if she doesn’t want to be mentioned on social media and if doesn’t want to be bothered by this guy, not yours. And to mention completely irrelevant things–that she’s from New York, that she is on an athletic scholarship, that she took a picture with Josh, that she plays lacrosse so she should be grateful anyone goes to games. You’re just extremely bias but you don’t have to make a fool of yourself by writing something this bad. Also if the umass admin got involved, they chose to get involved it’s not anyone’s particular doing. Lastly, just because someone supports umass at sporting events doesn’t mean ANYTHING. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to show support- but it doesn’t mean they can’t be a bad person or a creep etc. so point is write something better and less insulting.

    • Cheryl
      May 25, 2014 at 10:24 am

Stephanie, if you choose to put yourself on social media, then you must be prepared for the “mentions”. Do you think Obama whines that he doesn’t want to be “mentioned” about the VA scandal or Benghazi? Katie is an adult and needs to get off her high horse.

    • Steve
      May 25, 2014 at 10:28 am

Actually it is not “her say” whether or not she is mentioned in the press, social media, etc. I am sure that President Obama doesn’t like being called a rabid socialist on Twitter, or that Michael Sam doesn’t like being called a faggot on Twitter, or that George Zimmerman doesn’t like being called a racist murderer on Twitter. Unfortunately for all of them, along with Katie, they have been mentioned on social media and it doesn’t really matter what they think of it. Unless it crosses a line into harassment (real harassment, not “being creepy”), then they are all pretty much out of luck.

      November 29, 2014 at 10:59 am

Sorry I just read this blog as well as the comments. It maybe too bias to some people, but if you want my opinion ordeal wasn’t handled properly. If there’s a problem of any of kind, you’re suppose to hear both sides of the story which they didn’t. This even went to equal opportunity plus the UMass athletic department copied all the Facebook messages that Joshua allegedly sent by text. The people in the meeting even told Josh he was threat which that messed up his mind. He even had seizure the next day because of that. They athletic department administration should be more focused what UMass student athletes do off the field, court, and ice because I’ve seen them do stuff that have no business such as going into bars WITH FAKE ID’S. Now that’s a crime and they can lose their scholarships for that as well. I have spoken to some UMass men’s swim & dive alums and they told Katherine Ferris messed around sexually with a bunch of guys on the team as well as the guys on the baseball team. Some were even suprised that Katherine Ferris was getting attention. I also see that people say that Joshua Brown attracts attention from police. The only time he attracts attention from police is he sees that a fight breaking out or about to break out. People like UMass athlete is seriously trying to cover up the fact that she goes drinking and partying when she know she’s not suppose to like all college students. Yes, Joshua does visit the women’s lacrosse house just make sure they’re still alive after they been out partying and drinking. Nothing’s ever wrong with checking on your friends after drinking and partying. Especially if they’re underage and especially after a student has been found dead in his and her dorm rooms. Everyone finally realized that the UMass athletic department is a joke. Plus Stephen Hanjack the UMass athletic marketing director was looking to get a job at UConn and kept that a secret until now. There’s always something fishy going on in the department.

        July 23, 2014 at 4:43 pm

i understand both sides of the story, but her family’s personal income and place of birth is of absolutely no importance in this article. If you want to consider yourself a real writer/blogger you cannot bring up irrelevant things like this. I’m a current year athlete at umass myself, and my appreciation, (or de-appreciation) towards my fans has no connection with my income or hometown??? That’s like saying all liberals are for gay marriage just because of the political standings. People have different opinions on things–get over it. It has to do with how I feel as an athlete if I am being treated correctly or not and if I feel safe or not. I have seen Josh Brown myself get inebriated at athlete parties to the point where it is not safe for him to be there. He was so loud that he was politely asked to leave because he would be calling attention to the party from the police. That being said, there is nothing wrong with getting drunk but you must learn to take yourself out of a situation if you are that intoxicated. I understand that he is autistic but he should not be doing those things at parties. end of story. If some people are uncomfortable by him, that is THEIR business. You have not witnessed it first hand so who are you to chime in and go full forced on your own opinon. I understand you are very frustrated with Katie Ferris, but I have met her and she is a nice person, whether you believe so or not. If you have met her you are allowed to say otherwise but I am going to take a wild guess and assume you have not. Until then, do not make opinions based off of other people’s recollections of a person. If you want to write real news you have to be more appropriate in your words or else me and other athletes will not take this seriously considering you do not even know the woman or her side. I appreciate Josh Brown and all he does but it can get out of hand and we are not a professional sports athlete. We do not have body guards or people to control fans for us. If an older autistic man showed up at my doorstep at 2 am, even if he was knocking, (which I have heard happened through other athletes in our community) then I would feel a little bit uncomfortable too. And have you ever thought of the fact that maybe people take picture with him BECAUSE he is autistic and comes to their games and supports them? There is a point where that line is crossed at times though.

          August 17, 2014 at 10:59 pm

Sorry this was just sent to me. Everyone’s knows that UMass Athletes are just trying cover their butts, because they’re out there drinking, going out, and partying when they’re not suppose to. Coaches already know what college students are capable of doing. According to my sources some of players on the UMass women’s lacrosse got off the team, because their grades were bad. That’s what happens when you party too much. In my book there’s nothing wrong with checking on your friends at 2a.m. after excessive drinking and partying. People in general need to quit the cover ups and be honest. That’s one of the main reasons why both UMass Amherst and Amherst College is under scrutiny. Seriously UMass Athletes, you should be grateful to have fans plus your team’s funding is Massachusetts tax dollars.

Sorry I’m late, but I just read this. I can see that obviously people are trying cover their back sides about the fact that student athletes are going out despite the team’s policy. UMass Athletics really did tried to cover up the fact that one half of the 2014 UMass female athlete started this whole ordeal and to top that she doesn’t like being cheered on by a person who has autism. When you do messed up things to people with autism or any other disabilities, you’re gonna make enemies especially in Massachusetts. All UMass student athletes should realize that not only they’re representing the university they’re also representing the state itself. There’s nothing wrong with a person with autism checking on his/her friends to see if they’re still alive after they been out drinking and partying especially if they’re underage and using fake ID’s. The UMass women’s lacrosse players sure have they’re ways and they sure like to party. Not only they like to party they like to hook up and bang the male student athletes from men’s lacrosse, hockey, and baseball teams. That’s one of the main reasons why you’ll see them at the UMass women’s lacrosse games. As for you Katherine’Katie’ Ferris you should be lucky that you got a coaching job at UVM (University of Vermont Burlington). Always be careful about what do in college, because it can come back to haunt you. ALWAYS BE NICE TO PEOPLE WITH AUTISM AND OTHER DISABILITIES! ALWAYS!

this is literally absurd. don’t you think women feel threatened because we are WOMEN. People get raped on a daily basis. Any man, no matter what race, what color, what sexuality, can make a woman uncomfortable with their presence if they are larger than them. It has nothing to do with fucking race. I was walking in front of a man late at night and felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable even though nothing happened and he gave me no reason to. His physical presence alone concerned me and shoot me if you think i’m being too ridiculous. I have too many female friends that have been raped to not take even a small situation like that seriously and you’re a jackass for thinking she was just being a brat. Maybe she was concerned because there was one man watching her practice lacrosse? You’re a man, you do not understand what it is like to be in the presence of men as a small female -whether it is one or black or white, 5 feet tall or 6’7”.

She had every right to feel save walking around campus and at after the games. Also, as far as the sport of Lacrosse being a girly sport, she may not of even had an education if it wasn’t for Lacrosse! So shut your pie hole and go watch a game in the freezing cold, rain or snow that they play in or go watch them practice 6 or 7 days a week for three hours a day and see if you could keep up!!!! I think you really have to consider this: With the rise of feminist misandry as well as more and more reported cases of sexual assault on college campuses (which I know this wasn’t) college administrators have to take these accusations of safety very seriously. While they may not personally believe he was harassing, if one of your female scholarship athletes goes and tells you they’re being bothered by a big black guy, they’re gonna have to take actions against him whether said accusations are true or not. It’s sad that this happened to such an amazing fan, but alas, when a girl reports harassment to administration they have to take action or else it’s their asses in the fire.
