Turtleboy Sports began as a dream in December of 2013. Up until September of 2014 we had less than 1,000 Facebook likes and followers. Then Busgate happened and we grew to 3,000 followers. Then a month later Buffalogate happened and we pretended like we were taking the site down, but really we were just reformatting and teasing butthurt Buffalonians. Today we cap off a month with over 900,000 page views and over 13,000 followers on Facebook. Basically our question for the weekend is this – what was the first Turtleboy blog you ever read? What got you riding the turtle? Share your turtle memories in the comments.

Good to see posters like Strata and Publius on TB now.

I started when the T&G switched from anonymous posting. It’s funny, they wanted to silence the conservative posters & also anyone that called out Clive for his garbage columns, but they basically stopped the vast majority of posters. Liberal more so IMO. Talk about back firing on them, I still have a subscription and only frequent to catch up on some local events. I never NEVER click on Clive’s articles or Carlo’s blogs (no satisfaction of a view for them – and its nonsense anyway), and I continue to click on Hitch’s editorials until they throw him out (for being conservative I assume).

The T&G clicks have dropped big time. So will their advertising $, and so will their payroll. Clowns brought it on themselves.

Honestly – there was mention about TBS in one article I read in the T&G a very long time ago. I had no idea what that article was about so I looked into TBS. And Holy Schinkes – a new, fresh, honest, adult view of current things I was reading. I tell everybody who gives a rats ass about TBS. And as it turns out a lot of people do give a rats ass. A revolution is an understatement.

Never heard of you until Clive wrote the column about the “practical joke” when a student posed for a pic with him and flashed the TB t-shirt. Because Clive withheld the details in his piece but made such a big deal about it, I googled and was steered your way. Laughed my ass off. Then I started reading older blogs to understand the context and laughed even harder. So glad I found you guys – I always wondered why no one ever took that moron on, but then TB appeared in shining armor! Thanks, Clive, for omitting the embarrassing details of that day!! Now my morning search for local news online starts with you to see the titles for the day. Unfortunately, I still have to rely on the t&g for obits and courthouse records. . . If you guys could publish those, I’d never go to the t&g again – particularly given that I have to be selective with what I read there or else have to pay to read it.

Delete your cookies and it resets the number of articles. I think the option is in browsing history.

I stopped reading that POS T&G at least 5 yrs ago. A friend linked the Benny’s boycott fiasco on FB. Laughed my ass off and have since gone back to the beginning and read every single page. I love it because I can finally get all the news about the Woo that’s fit – or not – to print.

I started following after bus gate (the Worcester animals). The article and the viewpoint was written so truthfully and exactly as I felt that I found myself fist pumping a little… Now, I check in daily to see who has done something so hysterically stupid and how well you will have called them out on it! While I have admitted I am from Webster- these on my Town are the funniest (well- that and all the stuff written on the dippy hippies).

I started reading TB a few months ago. Nice to hear about what’s going on in Worcester. No longer liver there as my screen name would indicate but I enjoy the way you call out the “Hippies”! Keep up the good work.

I started riding the turtle when you blogged about the tobacco ban/BOH fiasco in Westminster. Still laugh hysterically whenever dooshnozzle Andrea the Creten shows her pathetic face in town. Been tuning in ever since. Keep doing what you’re doing Turtleboy. You rock — oh — and by the way — Free Tom Brady — FREEEDOMMM!

Heard you guys talking on Bax and O’Brien and since you were trashing the Pravda of Central Massachusetts I just had to read the blog. Glad I did!

I don’t have a Facebook account, only idiots do, but if I was an idiot I would add a “like” there as well.

Busgate was the first TB post I had ever read. I seen it going viral and remember saying “oh no! What did worcester’s wonderful do now?” It was after reading busgate that I noticed the name of the blog. For years, I’d tell mom “Just pick me up at the guy f****** the turtle!” Lmao it was on after that. You always come back to the turtle. ALWAYS.

I started riding the turtle when I found your blog where you ripped that dumbass Sam monson to shreds for trying to argue tom Brady wasn’t a top 5 quarterback. I’ve found all your patriots blogs to be hilarious and true.

Earliest recollection was the honest critique of the Big E. I sometimes think the turtle is too full of himself but I will be a fan as long as you keep calling Carlo, Old Balls. I also must give credit for your takedown of the school administration. Sure, they’re in power but what comes up when their name is googled? I do not live in worcester and happy I don’t pay taxes there but will be rooting for the turtle ticket in November.

    Busgate got me hooked.

I now wear my, “I Am Turtleboy” shirt everywhere and have literally converted hundreds. Mike Gaffney put a sign up in my yard today. The whole neighborhood asked if I could help them get one too!!!

    Join the Turtleboy Revolution!!!

Funny this popped up today because I happened to be thinking about it. My nephew sent me a link to bus gate and said he thought I might get a kick out of it. I have read every word since and I think Turtleboy is a hilarious genius. When I laugh out loud alone in my bedroom (or on the beach) my daughters come in and say, Turtleboy? Thank you for the daily entertainment!

About a month ago one of Worcester’s finest turned me on to it, and now I’m hooked! TB says what everyone is thinking and has the balls to print it. His combination of original words and phrases is second to none, I especially like his use of the word hippies, it’s so much more descriptive than just using the word liberal and some of these idiots take pride in the term. The fact is liberals suck but hippies smell and suck.

I totally agree about the T&G comment section. When they took away anonymous comments it got boring. It basically turned every independent thinker with a comment into a politician. I think that blogs in general are more legitimate than mainstream news. I’ve fact checked TB at least once or twice a week since I started reading and TB has opinions about facts.

The best part of t&g articles was the comment section. With anonymity came reading gold. I hope you can make the jump to legimate journalism eventualy, while holding onto the cras in youre face take one the carpetbaggers trying to hijack a city thats probem isn’t systemic rascism but as of a late is chronic neptotism and denegrated dooshnozzlery.
