Everyone’s acting like Mike Gorman is the local town drunk because he thinks the Boston Celtics are gonna beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in 6 games. I’m with him. Here’s why.

  • First of all, it’s fucking Cleveland. City of losers. Cleveland is where Buffalo rejects go to die. Cleveland is where rivers catch on fire. Cleveland is where your football team packs up and moves to Baltimore to win Super Bowls. Terrible, unbelievably bad things happen to the city of Cleveland on the regular. A first round upset to the Celtics would be par for the course. Literally no one in Cleveland would be the least bit surprised if that happened.

  • Secondly, we have Brad Stevens and they have David Blatt. Brad Stevens is the only person employed in Boston sports who no one has EVER questioned before. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have won four Super Bowls and we get on them when they suck. Claude Julien has made it to two Stanley Cups in the last four years and he’s about to lose his job. David Ortiz is arguably the greatest postseason hitter of all time and a three time champion, and all the media does is bitch about him. But Brad Stevens? He’s made wine out of water with the squad he was handed this year. He also made back to back national championships in college with Butler teams who had absolutely no business competing for national championships. His in-game coaching is second to none. If there’s anyone that can find a way to stop the Cavs, it’s Brad Stevens.

  • Thirdly, it’s Bron-Bron. At any point in time he can tap out. We saw it last year with cramp-gate. If the Celtics take one of the two games in Cleveland, the series is over. If the Cavs win both of them, it will be a fair and competitive series.

  • The Celtics are 25-13 since the all-star break. They’re a totally different team without Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green, because dooshnozzles like that were in it for themselves. They probably thought Brad Stevens was a joke and didn’t take him seriously. But the rest of the team is young and hungry and smart enough to realize the man knows what he’s doing.

The bottom line is, how freaking awesome would it be if they somehow won this series? Yea, I know LeBron is gonna get all the calls. But if it somehow happened I can honestly say it would be bigger than the Patriots winning the Super Bowl because no one saw it coming except for Turtleboy and Mike Gorman.  If somehow they do pull this off they’ll probably get the Bulls in the next round and lose in five games. But it won’t matter. Because we’ll have a young, hungry, confident team heading into next year that will compete for championships for the next ten years.

In Boston, even when we suck, we still win.
