So the other day at the City Council meeting it was Konnie Lukes vs. the World when she suggested that the State Police assist the Worcester Police to help crack down on crime during the now infamous Summer of Love 2015. The proposal was shot down by a coalition of hippies and Joe Petty supporters pretending to speak for the entire police department.

Well it turns out the hippies were being led by Keesha LaTullippe, a woman who was illegally paid $15,000 in taxpayer money under the guise of working for Mosaic Cultural Complex, along with a bunch of pastors who worried about the “militarization” of the police. Also joining them was a WPD Seargent Anthony Petrone, who called it a “slap in the face” to suggest that outside help could be of use. It turns out that Sgt. Petrone just happens to be a steady financial contributor to Mayor Joe Petty’s campaign:

Look, it’s not a slap in the face to say that the WPD is underfunded. Of course they’re underfunded. That’s just a fact. When the official policy of the Worcester Police is that they don’t finger print stolen cars because 50 cars are stolen every week, that’s a pretty big fucking problem if you ask me. It’s nothing against the police, because they are not an army of magical supermen. If the city wasn’t wasting so much money on RBG’s poetry trips, DOJ luncheons at the DCU Center, and Mosaic’s non-existent hypertension treatment, then no outside help would be necessary.

To prove my point, let’s look at the latest episode of the Worcester Summer of Love 2015 – some dipshit who tried hiding his unregistered gun in the Worcester Public Library:

On Friday, August 14, 2015 at approximately 11:15 a.m. an off-duty Boston police officer was in the area of Main Street and Chatham Street when he noticed a male carrying a handgun in his waistband.

The officer followed him to the Worcester Public Library and notified the Worcester Police Department about the suspicious male. A Worcester Police Sergeant and an officer arrived at the library and attempted to catch up to him. Inside the library, the officers lost sight of him for a moment and then quickly located him sitting at a computer. The male was identified as 24-year-old Luis Bermudez of Worcester.

Through reviewing surveillance footage, officers discovered that the male placed the handgun on a bookshelf in one of the aisles. Officers recovered the handgun and it was collected by the Crime Scene Unit.

Mr. Bermudez did not have a license to carry a handgun and was placed under arrest.

Luis Bermudez, 24, of 17 Chandler Street, Apt 3, Worcester, was charged with Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition without an FID Card, and Disorderly Conduct.

GunLibrary

So let me get this straight. The first and only time this criminal mastermind opens up a book he does it so hide his gat? That seems about right. And then in order to seem inconspicuous he sits down at a computer. Because the cops would never notice him sitting at a computer.

I’ll tell you one thing – we are EXTREMELY lucky that Worcester gangsters are so bad at what they do. Like, bro – how the fuck did you let some off duty cop see your gun while you were walking down Goddamn Main Street? You carried the gun in your waistband? Yea, you might wanna tuck your shirt in next time you do that. This isn’t the wild fucking west. Worcester gangsters can’t shoot straight, they don’t understand the concept of a headshot, and they certainly don’t know how to keep a low profile.

wpl

The point here is that without the pure luck situation where an off duty Boston cop happened to see this numbnuts and follow him to the library, he never would’ve gotten caught. And NOTHING good was gonna come of that gun being in this idiot’s hands.

A lot of the rhetoric at the meeting the other night came from people who said that the Worcester Police know the community better and thus the people in gang riddled neighborhoods would be more likely to help them out. Which is fine and all, but if people don’t wanna cooperate it’s time to start smashing heads. And the Worcester Police can’t do that so I have no problem with some outside mercenaries coming in here and getting old school with some of these buttnuts.

Boom. Summer of Love solved.

You know Bob, saying the WPD needs a hand getting these idiot gang bangers under control DOES NOT mean that you don’t support them. My uncle was on the force for over twenty years and I have the utmost respect for the boys over on Belmont Street.

But they have been woefully underfunded for years. We have entire classes graduating from the police academy that the department can’t afford to hire. It is not an indictment against these brave men and women on the front lines to say that they could use the help. It IS an indictment against the city government that they’re giving money away hand over fist to charlatans and criminals while the police force and schools can’t afford basic equipment.

Alright sorry for many back to back posts. So Konnie, I know my previous posts were somewhat convoluted so let me try to break it down in more simpler terms. My Worcester Police Department works in partnership with the following law enforcement agencies:
    • FBI
    • DEA
    • U.S. Marshals
    • Worcester House of Correction
    • Massachusetts State Police
    • ATF (Department of Tobacco and Firearms)
And when needed the U.S. Secret Service more on counterfeit money cases or when Presidents stop by and say hi. So get with the program Konnie and it is no doubt I missed a few other cooperative efforts by my cops. Peace out.

What flip flop Konnie does not obviously realize is that the State Police and The Worcester Police have been working in partnership along with federal agencies (DEA and U.S. Marshals) and the House of Correction going back to the early 1990s under then Worcester Police Chief Ed Gardella. And this still is happening to this date. Most of these initiatives are stealth meaning either plain clothes or outright undercover.

Hey look, this not just a Worcester problem. If you watch the news, Boston is on fire with this shit as well at a more intensified level. 5 gang related murders in one day this week in Boston. If you watch network news there are gang related shootings virtually everywhere.

So in the end, I’d rather see a flock of Guardian Angels from NYC kick some serious pussy gang banger ass here in Worcester before I see State Police marked cruisers driving around. The marked Worcester Police cruisers know the terrain, the people, the problems and are well trained to deal with this shit.

Side Bar: By flip flop Konnie I was referring to her highly publicized endorsement for the men and women of the Worcester Police Department earlier this year. I want to say just 6 months ago approximately. She caught shit for that by the hippies.

And now this? Fucking for real?

This is political ramblings and back peddling at its finest. Vote her the fuck out.

I forgot to mention the FBI. The Worcester Police Department also has liaison officers working in a local FBI headquarters as well there Konnie so sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. Flip floper.

How do I know? Well you can look this shit up like Turtleboy does.

I don’t think Konnie Lukes idea to ask for some assistance from the state police was all that bad. Really, it’s an idea that I’ve heard many others ask as a possible way to curb the violence. It didn’t show disrespect to WPD like when two councillors voted that police lives didn’t matter, it was recognizing a problem that the city is under siege by savages from boarder to boarder and there needs to be a little more police presence. The WPD has so many other non-gang calls to handle, having some extra cops out on the street to show the gangbsngers the city means business is a smart move. It isn’t a hostile takeover by the state police, they along side of and support WPDs efforts, not take over. What’s next, is the WFD going to stop calling area towns if there is a major fire because they are from a town, or not union, on-call or volunteer, but still have the same basic firefighter certifications?

I’ve said before that it’s time to round up and lock up the creeps behind this. These goons are known to WPD. Do some police work. Creeps are by definition going to violate the law. Pounce on them when they do, book them, maybe keep them in lockup for the weekend. Someone will start singing.

I’m glad I’m licensed to carry.

The wife and I live about 30 minutes from Worcester, but I lived there for years getting a degree at WPI. We still drive in for dinner at the Sole, Citizen, and Via, and of course lunch at the B. I can no longer drink at dinner in Worcester because I feel I have to carry concealed now. I am out of the city by 10 pm at the latest. It’s a damn shame. I’m an engineer and my wife’s a nurse, so we are doing good, and I am thankful we didn’t buy that house in Worcester we almost did 6 years ago.

I work at bar in one of the most active hot spots for the gang violence as of late and There’s cops now “walking the beat” or whatever you call it on the road itself every single day and the crime still goes down some how at the perfect time where it’s missed. My first night working here I watched someone chase another down the road with a butcher knife after a fist fight and moments later police show up but no one was found to be involved. Yet everyday the same people doing the same things hang out on the same corner yet every time there’s a disturbance responders are two minutes to late. You’d figure they’d make some kind of sting for such a rowdy violent area but no…

I’m so nervous thinking that if it’s been this bad all summer, what is going to happen when school starts back? I’m literally afraid to have my child walk home from school (Burncoat middle) because of what may happen on the street at dismissal. Someone has got to wake up and get a handle on this before you lose ALL of your working and contributing families to towns and private school. As a lifelong resident, it truly feels as though Joe Petty and Ed Augustus don’t care- stop with the stupid data, your ridiculous rhetoric (“can’t arrest our way out of this”) and your head in the sand attitudes and make us feel as though you’re working on the issues please.

Hey turtleboy, Clive wrote an article about public schools and how Ms.Deboise-Luster did so well and so on. He fails to mention the state raised her sons in DYS and one graduated to the house of corrections, please tell clyde there are many public safety officers in the city and surrounding towns who should be given the credit for her too, after all DYS is a cheap babysitting alternative.

      “That neighborhood?” You mean downtown??

He probably had business at City Hall or the courthouse – the same reason ANYONE goes to downtown Worcester.

Eleven o’clock in the morning – doubtful he’s going clubbing at the Palladium.

Petty’s latest phrase is “I hear you” to anyone who voices a real concern about the never-ending violence in the city. Yeah, he hears you, and then continues to do nothing. That’s called benign neglect, people. It’s time to vote him and his cronies out in November.
