Fox 25 News was up to their usual tricks last week pursuing their anti-police SJW agenda against the Yarmouth Police Department:

A Yarmouth man tells Boston 25 News police didn’t respond in a timely manner after he found used needles on Long Pond Road. Josh Joaquim said he found the needles Tuesday and immediately called police. He says they stated they would take care of the problem.

“Anything could have happened. A 9-year-old could have walked by and found them,” he said.

Joaquim says when police didn’t show up, he put in a second call. He claims at that point the dispatcher told him the officers were busy and the needles should be put in a tin can then thrown in a dumpster. Josh was reluctant to touch the needles.

“I don’t know what anybody has they could have AIDS, hepatitis. It’s kind of like playing Russian roulette,” he said.

Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos said it’s an unfortunate fact that discarded needle calls are becoming more common in many communities. But, Xiarhos told Boston 25 News, “we, of course, handle any and all calls and when it comes to these dangerous needles we use options such as the fire department, our highway department and our police officers to properly pick them up.”

Eventually the needles were picked up, Joaquim said, but he was disappointed it took so long.

“Four hours to come pick up three needles, which is really only a ten-minute job. The fire department is five minutes up the road,” he said.

The deputy chief says it does seem somewhat strange and suspicious that this resident had to call police three times. He says they’ll have to review the dispatch recordings to get the actual facts. But he says police would never expect private citizens to pick up discarded needles.

This is Josh Joaquim:

Yes, that’s right – he wears jorts. So obviously he cannot be trusted. Combine that with the Newport 100s, the 90’s wallet chain, and the all white Air Force Ones, and you just know that this Cape Cod crapjacket has a slew of Google trophies at his disposal. Like that time he robbed a woman at gunpoint and punched her in the face because she couldn’t get him an OC’s:

At about 6:30 p.m., the woman said she got into a car with Cleary and two others: Josh Joaquim, 24, of Hyannis and Jessica Mosher, 21, of Dennis. Cleary, Joaquim and Mosher asked the alleged victim about “oxy 30s,” referring to 30 milligram oxycodone pills. The woman said she didn’t have any and didn’t know where to get any, at which point the trio turned on her, police said. Joaquim, the driver, pulled a handgun and demanded the woman’s purse. He also punched her in the face, police said. Mosher also allegedly hit and kicked her, according to police.

And that chick Jessica Mosher who helped him rob this chick? Yea, she’s a heroin dealer:

The Cape Cod Drug Task Force arrested a Kingston couple who police say have been dealing heroin on Cape Cod. Steven J. Coyne, 26, and Jessica M. Mosher, 25, both of Evergreen Street in Kingston are being charged with trafficking heroin 36-100 grams; conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substance Act, and possession of heroin.

Then there was that time he was charged with assault and battery, vandalizing property, and witness intimidation, and got away with it because the witness was too intimidated to appear in court:

JOAQUIM, JOSH A., 27, 402 North Dennis Road, Yarmouthport; assault and battery, vandalizing property, witness intimidation. Dismissed due to failure of witness to appear.

Ya know, because he beats women and carries guns.

Real pillars of the community. All of this was there for the taking on Google. Literally found this stuff in five seconds when a turtle rider emailed us the story. Yet Fox 25 News had no interest in hearing the cop’s version of the story. They just took a career criminal’s word for it that the cops refused to pick up discarded needles.

He first posted about the needles earlier in the week:

But wait – you’re a heroin dealer who beat the shit out of a woman because she couldn’t get you OC’s. But yea, you draw the line at littering. You’ve earned the right to call other people junkboxes. Definitely.

He then took to Facebook to brag about how Fox 25 News was driving all the way to Yarmouth for his big interview:

But yet they didn’t bother to even ask the Yarmouth PD if any of this was true. Think of how insane that is. The media has two people they can get their story from – the police or a career criminal causing a scene. One is a trusted pillar of the community, the other robs people for OC’s. Naturally Fox 25 News went with the latter.

Keep in mind, 911 tapes are available to the public. It would’ve taken them five seconds to get them. But then again that doesn’t fit their narrative and they have zero interest in the truth.

Or they could’ve just gone to his Facebook page and seen his general thoughts on the institution of the police:

Had they done so they’d find that this cop block reject likely has an ex-girlfriend who left him for a cop, and as a result he punches the clown to the Sears catalogue before crying himself to sleep at night.

So naturally the Yarmouth PD had to call THEM up, and let them know the REAL NEWS that actually happened:

And the 911 tape confirms that he was lying. Turns out he called them up and offered to pick up the needles himself:

  • Caller: I was just curious. Did you ever get anybody out there to pick up those hypodermic needles?
  • Dispatch: Not as of yet.
  • Caller: Not yet?
  • Dispatch: Nope.
  • Caller: Oh, that’s great. We got kids walking down these roads. I’m going to go pick them up and throw them in my fireplace, and I’m going to burn them, is that cool?
  • Dispatch: Yea, you could do that, uh. Either that, or you can put them in a tin can or something like that an dispose of it properly, like in a trash dumpster or something.
  • Caller: In a tin can. What, like a soda can or something?
  • Dispatch: Yea.
  • Caller: Alright, perfect. I’m going to go do that.

In the end, police ended up calling the fire department and they disposed of the needles.

He literally said he’d pick them up himself. But because he called them and they didn’t drop everything they were doing to rush to his emergency phone call, he concocted this story and contacted the media. Because apparently the Yarmouth PD have nothing more important to do than drop everything they’re doing and pick up needles on the side of the road.

The Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos actually reached out to him several times to try to be nice and let this career criminal know what they were doing to help. Naturally Junkbox Josh started posting the conversation on his Facebook page while calling them liars and continuing to disparage them:

Even when the tapes were released, proving that Junkbox Josh told the dispatcher he’d take care of the needles, he still insisted they were altered:

The fact that the Deputy Police Chief is using his free time to actually be nice to this rugrat is to be commended. He doesn’t have to do this, but he’s interested in community policing. However, the problem is that some people aren’t interested in getting along with the police. They want the police to be the bad guys so they can have something to complain about.

Not everyone fell for his bullshit like Fox 25 News did though:

Oh I see you. So you USED TO BE a junkbox who beat women and robbed people for OC’s at gunpoint. Now that you claim you’ve turned your life around we should all just kind of assume you’re telling the truth. Definitely.

And then he got called out by his landlord for not paying rent:

Oops!!

Most people would just walk away after something this though. No Junbox Josh though. He went full Waterwizzgate. Turns out he’s got an explanation as to why he told the dispatcher he’d pick up the needles:

Sarcasm!! You guys couldn’t read that in the police report, but he was totally being sarcastic when he called 911. Lots of normal people call an emergency number and bust out the sarcasm. What better time?

Oh, and he didn’t want to pick them up because then he could pick up a charge:

“If that be the case they would arrest me, not ask for my help and say I did the right thing.”

It’s like he’s begging to be arrested. Personally I think the Yarmouth PD should give him his wish, but they probably don’t wanna deal with him any longer than they absolutely have to either.

There are used needles everywhere. The police can only do so much. It’s really the DPW’s job to pick up that kind of stuff since they are the ones who take care of the town and it’s up keep. It’s really not that hard to grab a plastic bag and pick em up. If you use common sense and don’t touch the needle point you should be okay. After your done wash your hands. That’s called doing your part as a good citizen. Do it because you want to help. And it’s the right thing to do, not because you want to post it all over social media to be hero for the day!

Fuck addicts. They’re useless, they’re a threat to kids, they rob old people, and they’re general scum. Only the snowflake liberals and suburban housewives care about them, and that’s only until they get robbed by a smackhead. No mercy. Time to get out the bats and ski masks, load up the van and clean up the scum. The opioid epidemic stops when addicts can’t walk or use their fingers. Nothing else works. Time for open season on the root of the problem.

You realize that Deputy X is probably one of the most respected law enforcement Officers in the state. He’s honest and wants to help people. He’s always willing to listen to people who have issues with how they’ve been treated by the YPD. Additionally he’s a Gold Star Father who lost his oldest son in the war and does incredible work for veterans. His word is gold.

This is hilarious. You have no idea what your talking about… Lmao!!! Turtle boy… Lol who the hell are you. Man this is one of he funniest articles i have ever read. So whobcares about needles laying around or the fact that unless someone is dying it takes police a half hour to do anything here on the cape lets just look up the background of person that bring up the subject or the persons past and put him on blast of some bullshit wanna be real news website. The points he made are real and should be brought up. so what if he made bad decisions in the past most of us kids and younger adults have on the cape. so what that means our opinions and right to voice ourselvs about matters that should be handle by police is null and void and should be taken as a lie. Who are you to judge people when you are not properly informed on the subject and only infatuated with the persons past. I can tell the creators of this website are people that wish they could be on fox news but failed at
school or wasnt good enough to make it at being a real reporter so you started a website dedicated to what you believe is the truth by dismissing other opinions of the truth and waisting your life looking up peoples backgrounds cause you dont have a life of your own. Get a real job and do ua all a favor and keep your opinion to yourself.

Agreed. Josh is sort of a douche.

Nope. That didn’t happen. You’re letting your emotions run high. Go get a box of tissues, make a cup of tea, blow your nose and come back with your emotions in check. The Yarmouth PD does not look up the background of the caller when an incident is reported. Dispatch does *not* have that authority. The police is not at your beck and call when you suddenly decide to play “good citizen”. It’s just the way it works. It has ZERO to do with addiction or your past. It has EVERYTHING to do with resources and priority.

“The points he made are real and should be brought up.”

So congrats — welcome to the real world. Sometimes you have to wait. Sometimes you don’t get precedent. Suck it up Sally. It has NOTHING to do with your past. We have all been there. It has everything to do with budget and resources. Sucks to be a grown up — doesn’t it? Why can’t you clean up this shit yourself?

“so what if he made bad decisions in the past most of us kids and younger adults have on the cape. so what that means our opinions and right to voice ourselvs about matters that should be handle by police is null and void and should be taken as a lie.”

Stop whining – no one ever said you’re past mistakes had anything to do with the police not picking up trash. Here’s a thought — PICK IT UP YOURSELF. BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY.

” Who are you to judge people when you are not properly informed on the subject and only infatuated with the persons past. ”

Kettle meet black. You acted like little cunts when you didn’t get what you wanted and acted like dumped junior high girls. YOU went to Fox News when you didn’t get what you wanted. Who failed now?

What a scumbag! He’s clearly an addict and he’s calling other people “junkies.” Like someone else said, he probably put them there to make up a story and get attention.

Even if he didn’t, all he had to do was throw them in the trash like the dispatcher told him to. Syringes don’t just accidentally jump up and stab people. I’ve found used syringes in a public park before and threw them out in the closest dumpster with no problem. Guess what? They didn’t stab me.

Regardless of who called or what the caller did in his past! Your missing the real issue here! Needles and this epidemic that is happening! This breaks my heart that we are missing the focus of an important issue (needles being left) to bash someone.

    • Bulldog
      January 16, 2018 at 11:06 am

Everyone knows there’s a heroin/opiate epidemic. It’s on the news 24/7. The issue here isn’t the epidemic but the fact that this guy, who is clearly a “junkie” himself (as he likes to call other addicts, I personally hate the phrase ‘junkie’ but this guy deserves it) set this up for attention. I wouldn’t be surprised if he put the syringes there himself. He had no reason to call a news station in Boston about something so stupid so the only logical reasons he did it was that he wanted attention and wanted to make the police look bad. Remember the saying, you shouldn’t throw stones if you live in a glass house? He should have remembered that.

So pick them up and throw them away. You don’t need to scream all over facebook about what a great little guardian angel you are.

I know junkies, he’s trying to show everyone how he’s SUPER AGAINST DRUGS NOW…which means he’s probably hiding something.

“So pick them up and throw them away.”

          Exactly.

Jenn Riordan – “Because no one has ever found needles on the side of the road?!?”

Personally? No. But, it *was* in front of my house – I’d be pissed. Here’s a solution – put some gloves on, use a pair of tongs on and pick them up & throw them away. If this is going on in your community – be part of it and clean it up. It’s not the police’s responsibility to drop everything and clean up your neighborhood.

          Grow the fuck up,

            Finn,

I agree with everything you’ve said here.

I just wanted to point out that you don’t need to wear gloves or get tongs to pick up used syringes. Syringes don’t just jump up and stab people, especially with the caps on. Second, bloodborne diseases like HIV and Hep C die outside of the body fairly quickly so the chances that a used syringe found outside (especially with these crazy cold temperatures) contains any bloodborne pathogen is very low. Third, it’s almost impossible to catch HIV from an accidental needle stick and that’s if you get accidentally poked right after someone with HIV had used it. The percentage is actually only .03% and there are medications they can give people that have been exposed to prevent HIV infection. I believe the chances of catching Hep C from an accidental needle stick are around 1%. Hep B is easier to catch but just about everyone has been vaccinated against it already. (If you haven’t been vaccinated against Hep A and Hep B, get vaccinated ASAP. Everyone should be vaccinated against them.) People can just pick up used syringes, put them in an empty water bottle, seal the top, and toss them out. As long as you’re careful and not playing with the syringe, you won’t get accidentally poked. I’ve personally found used syringes a few times and have picked them up and tossed them out every time.

I have been accidentally poked by a syringe that was just used seconds before by someone with Hep C and thankfully, didn’t catch anything. I was trying to help someone that overdosed in a car, at night, and there was a used syringe that stabbed me. I admit I freaked out at first but once I got medical attention and learned the chances of catching anything were so low, I calmed down and have been OK ever since. It has been years and I still have never caught any disease.
