The Boston Globe today honored Monica Cannon-Grant as one of their 2020 “Bostonians of the year.”

This is not surprising as the Globe has promoted this woman relentlessly as some sort of civil rights icon, while intentionally ignoring her long and documented history of racism, violent threats, and unstable behavior. In July MCG posted a video on Facebook in which she accused Rayla Campbell, a black conservative woman running for Congress against Ayanna Pressley, of “riding white penis for a credit score,” and said of Rayla and her supporters that someone should “blow their fucking heads off.”
The following statements came out of the mouth of the woman the Globe labeled person of the year:

Now here’s what Globe columnist Jenee Osterheldt had to say about Monica’s work this year.
Monica “knows what it means to be erased in conversations.”
No she doesn’t. Monica can’t stop talking. Monica wanted to erase Rayla Campbell from the conversation because she “rode white penis for a credit score.”
Monica said that people in interracial relationships “jeopardize their melanin” and must “sit in the back of the classroom and this ain’t your part of the show and you don’t get to talk right now.”

Monica was “met with resistance” in “the movement” by “potential mentors” like Rachael Rollins, who knew that she was too mentally unstable to be a figurehead in the sort of social changes Rollins hopes to make. She was met with resistance by Reverend Eugene Rivers, and admittedly tried to assault him.
No one wants to be represented by a woman who gets what she wants by threatening people. There are thousands of black people in Boston doing more to help black people on a daily basis than MCG is doing. All she’s doing is enriching herself, collecting awards, and threatening anyone who gets in her way.
Jenee Osterheldt is not from Boston. She came here from Kansas City and was hired by the Globe because she fits their brand of politics.
