In case you missed it last night the WBZ I-Team Investigates picked up the story about Laughlin Kennel in Oxford. Here’s how it went down:

Some people have pointed out how they didn’t credit us. But it’s not about that. It’s about getting this place shut down. Did Turtleboy Sports do this alone? No. There have been some great people protesting this place and keeping the pressure on for years now. They’re the ones who informed us about it. We were just the medium that was used to expose Laughlin Kennel to the masses. Now a bigger media outlet has picked up on it as a direct result of this. But it doesn’t really matter who did it. All that matters is that they’re finally being exposed and their house of cards is crumbling.

Oxford is small time, small town. It’s a great place to open a puppy death mill and sell sick puppies to people, because no one is paying attention to Oxford. You can get away with it so long as it’s just a handful of dog lovers holding signs outside. But now that they’re being attacked by Turtleboy, the Telegram, and WBZ, the end is near.

What separates the Turtleboy Sports Revolution from idiots who block roads and highways, is that we actually get the government to fix things. We’ve taken back the School Committee in Worcester, forced the Telegram to fire Old Balls, forced Vincent Cloutier to step down in Spencer, and forced the city of Worcester to fix its roads and pick up the trash. Now we’re moving on to the Statehouse. State Representative Bruce Ayers of Quincy has proposed legislation that is being debated RIGHT NOW, that would make it impossible for puppy mills to operate as the currently do in Massachusetts:

You can read the whole bill here. But a big part of it is that kennels have to provide “appropriate living space, shelter, nutrition, and sanitary conditions to each dog. Clearly we have seen from videos like these, that Laughlin Kennel will not be able to continue to operate as is if this bill passes:

We strongly urge our State Representatives to do the right thing and vote yes on this bill.

Bruce Ayers seems like a good shit. I don’t know if he reads Turtleboy, or if he just is a dog enthusiast, but this bill he is proposing is one that everyone with common sense agrees with. You can’t sell sick puppies to people. You can’t import dogs in crates from Missouri and then euthanize them. You can’t put a million dogs in a hut and have them keeping the neighbors up all hours of the night. So Bruce Ayers is definitely our Turtleboy hero of the day. This is him speaking in the photograph:

I think that we can all agree that for the safety and well being of all people in the Commonwealth, we hope that he didn’t get a ride home that day from Tim Murray. And no, this guy is not some establishment democrat. He’s proud to reach across the aisle and work with his political opponents to get things done for the people:

This is what we need more of in politics. People who are willing to put aside partisan nonsense in order to get things done for the people. This is why we like people like Scott Brown and can’t stand people like Ted Cruz and Elizabeth Warren.

The bottom line is that this is how change is made in a democracy. When you go to your elected leaders with a clear objective, and a list of things that you want enacted, they then have the power to do that. Change doesn’t happen when you throw up a hashtag on Twitter or stand in the road and block innocent people from picking their kids up at soccer practice. Change happens when you expose a problem and propose a solution. Once this place shuts down the world will be a better place. The end is coming soon for Laughlin Kennel, and we’ve got a headstone waiting for you next to Tracy Novick in the Turtleboy graveyard.

If you can get the roads fixed, can you please have them do Mill Street? It’s a fucking disaster.

Putting kennel staff in the cages and letting them wallow in their own piss and shit would be appropriate! Can we add that to the bill? Scum of the earth, unfortunately punishment for places like this are notoriously lax. Hopefully this bill provides for stiff penalties.

This will help rid our state of this, but shitballs like that will just flow downhill to some other jurisdiction without any oversight.
