The fact that I saw the Eric Garner, Laquan McDonald, and Walter Scott videos five million times because every news station in the country was broadcasting it, but I have to find this one on Facebook, tells you all you need to know about the mainstream media. CNN isn’t interested in a story where the asshole isn’t the cop. Here’s what happens when you search for “Laquan McDonald shot”:

The Atlantic is a left wing opinion site, so they don’t count. But the NY Times, Chicago Tribune, and CNN masquerade themselves as news sources. All of them heavily covered these shootings and come up on page one of Google. But when you Google “Christ Lester punched” (the deputy who was punched and shot in the video), this is what comes up:
Local TV. That’s about it. No CNN, Washington Post, or Chicago Tribune. Because a shitbag shooting a cop doesn’t fit their narrative that everyone who gets shot by a cop was on their way to Bible study.
This is what we get when our leaders and the media create an environment where cops have to second guess their every move. Because every asshole with a keyboard in front of them is an expert on law enforcement tactics. The officer told this shit for brains to put his hands on the car. And just like the other patron saints of the black lives matter protesters, he refused to comply with a direct order from a police officer. This is why people are being killed by cops. Because they don’t listen. And when they don’t listen there’s no way to know if they’re harmless or dangerous. When you have a family to go home to at the end of your shift you shouldn’t have to play Russian roulette to find out if they’re dangerous.
Luckily for the cop this shitbag lived and he’s under arrest. Because make no doubt about it, if Officer Lester had killed this waste of space there would be protests tomorrow. The Department of Justice would be sent to Florida with a mandate to manipulate data in order to reach the conclusion that systematic racism is the biggest problem plaguing the community, not savages who attack cops. Just like they did in Ferguson. And people wonder why the “blue wall” exists. It’s because everyone who matters is against the cops, and they’re forced to protect themselves.
Deputy Chris Lester, who has been with the sheriff’s office since July 7, 2014, is in stable condition after sustaining one shot to the leg. The shitbag, 53 year old Andrew Coffee, was shot in the side and leg and is in the trauma unit of Lawnwood Medical Center in stable condition. Don’t worry though, your tax dollars are paying to keep him alive because obviously he can’t afford to pay for his own healthcare.

Nobody should be surprised by the medias failure to accurately report anything. Most of them report the story in a way that supports the liberal agenda, often leaving out important facts. Assuming they even verified said facts, which is often not the case. Or in this case just don’t report it at all. The few right leaning outlets aren’t any better.
If a topic is important to you, the best course of action is to research it yourself. Get information from multiple sources, piecing together all the fact forming your own opinion. And never take any of the “excuses for journalism” at face value. Frankly the media sucks and is a huge part of the problems these days.
