I was convinced coming into Sunday that the Patriots were the best team in football. I feel a million times more confident now. The only team that’s even close to our level is the Packers. Think about that – we had a horrendous offseason in which we lost two of the best (Revis) and most physical (Browner) corners in the game, and we’re still the king. This is why the butthurt is so strong. Even when we lose we still win.
But the biggest reason I knew we were going to the Super Bowl again this year is because of who the consensus team to beat in the AFC was – the Indianapolis Colts. All I heard about was how they signed Frank Gore, and Andre Johnson, and they drafted a stud receiver in the first round, and blah, blah, blah.
And what happened today? They got facialized by Buffalo. The Buffalo fucking Bills and their gutter slug of a quarterback kicked the shit out of the team that was every expert’s pick to win the AFC this year.
Hey Indy – that’s what happens when you spend an entire offseason worrying about the king instead of worrying about how to become the king. Newsflash – you lost a billion to seven in the AFC Championship because your defense SUCKS. You haven’t kept us under 40 points since the beginning of time. It’s a perpetual problem that you never seem to address.
Here’s my quesiton – what are Bob Kravitz and Gregg Doyel gonna be whining about this week? Were the Bills using swear words? Were they not tender enough with you? Did you feel violated after leaving there?
Oh yea, that’s right, you’re not gonna come up with excuses because you only do that when the Patriots beat you. Doyel and Kravitz have already written columns about their reactions to this debacle. Both of them blame the Colts and only the Colts. Yet when we savagely beat them by a billion they spent eight months trying to prove it was because of PSI.
This is what happens when the biggest splash you make in the offseason was raising an AFC Championship participation banner.
Sure you could’ve spent the offseason going after a shutdown corner like Revis, or drafting an offensive lineman that can actually block, or finding a linebacker that can tackle. But instead you spent an entire offseason trying to prove that you lost a game a billion to seven because of some PSI that has never in the history of football EVER had an impact on a football game at any level.
That’s the reason Buffalo kicked the ever loving shit out of you today. You deserved to lose, and your only hope for the playoffs comes from the fact that you play in the crap-happiest division in the NFL. Marcus Mariotta looked pretty good today though. I bet you he’ll throw all your defense too. After all, if Tyrod Taylor can do it, pretty much anyone can.
Speaking of Buffalo, their fans are all juiced up about what they saw in Orchard Park today, and understandably so. First time I’ve ever rooted for the Bills in a game. This is exactly what I wanted to see. There is nothing better than when Buffalo starts out hot like this and their fans start thinking, “what if this is the year?” Then the Patriots come to town, line them up, and toss them all in a mass grave. That’s when they realize that they might’ve beaten the Colts, but at the end of the day they still are and always will be Buffalo.
P.S. All offseason the general sentiment is that the Patriots didn’t win the Super Bowl – the Seahawks lost it by not handing off to Marshawn Lynch at the goal line. As if there was some guarantee that the Patriots would just let him walk in. Newsflash – Pete Carroll made the right call. This is what happens when you hand off to beastmode when you really need him in the clutch:
Patriots 38, Buffalo 3.

I think the Bills benching Flutie in favor of Johnson was equivalent to the curse of the Sox trading Ruth.
*”on to Buffalo” i meant. I write like shit I know. Sorry.
I did not pick one Indy player in all of my five fantasy football teams this year. Even Luck I passed on. And ex- Colt Reggie Wayne trying to be a Patriot? I used have respect for him but what a total fucking pussy he turned out to be to not even want to hang with the champs when given a chance. Fucking total wuss.
B.B.: We’re on the Buffalo…
Pats fan here but whoever think bufallo is the same shitty team as last year shouldnt be writing a sports blog lol.
No they are still shitty. They just now have this crazy ass coach who jumps out of airplanes and acts like a total unprofessional jackass and those idiot fans in Buffalo love it because they are also fucking idiots. They found their soulmate in Sexy Rex.
I bet any product involving foot ware retail will sky rocket….
Say what you want but Rex always plays the Pats tough. His team last year had all the talent of the Montreal Allouettes and he came close to beating NE twice. This is the closest these 2 teams have been to one another in terms of talent in a long time. I’m not saying “this is the year” that the Bills oust the Pats from their throne. But I wouldn’t sleep on them, either. Don’t forget- there was a time a Bills fan would have told a Pats fan they are and will always be New England.
The Colts being the AFC leader for a SB trip, though? Never understood the hype there, and I still don’t.
