Plainville, MA is a fun place. Nestled between Foxborough, Wrentham, Mansfield, and North Attleboro, it’s a small town with an above average median income, a permanent inferiority complex, and one famous resident.
Oh, and a bootleg “casino.” It’s no wonder why everyone in town hates each other.
I came across this post in a Plainville community page.

So they say when you have good service you tell 5 friends and when you have bad service you tell everyone … well I’m telling everyone. I wasn’t going to, I thought it was just my sleep adled brain making it seem worse than it was … then I saw my windshield littered, when my trash can is a few feet away. Someone didn’t miss …
I got a quote from Destito Tree Service for cutting down some trees. Set for an arbitrary date a month out. They were highly recommended by my bestie mom friend and I value her opinion, so I decided to use them. The gentleman was a bit condescending (you know the “silly female, with a pat on the head”) but maybe that was just me. They weren’t the cheapest or the most expensive. Smack dab in the middle.
I called at the end of July to cancel (July 31st at 10:04pm). I needed a firm date. And anyone who’s been to my yard knows I need a lot more work done than just trees. I had found a company that night, that does EVERYTHING I needed.
Fast forward to today, Destito Tree Service arrives in the morning and woke me up. I told them I had cancelled a while back and elected a different company. While the guy was 🔥 👀 he was a bit rude, but that could have been just my interpretation since I just woke up.
Are you seeing all the excuses I gave them? Well I go take my toddler to camp and see this mess on my car. WTF?!! Maybe customer service doesn’t matter to anyone else here, but it does to me. I started my working career in fast food and learned humility. That lesson apparently was lost on some folks, or they were privileged enough to not need it 🤷🏽♀️. Use them or not at your discretion, I just thought I should share my experience and save some people the hassle. I had a few other tree-only companies that gave quotes and were really personable and sincere, that I would recommend. Destito Tree Service is not one of them.
Thanks for reading.”
Bad business reviews are not uncommon on community pages like this one. They usually have a few inconsistencies, hard to believe statements (who calls a local business to cancel a service at 10:04 PM?), and exaggerated accounts of the interaction. Even when there are pictures:
…I tend to be skeptical with these posts, as I was with this one. That is until the owner of the company showed up in the comments.
Entitled prick status confirmed. Business must be booming when you can find the time to log on and shit over everybody who made a comment about your big baby fit over a cancelled service appointment.
Nick Destito is 26 years old and grew up in Plainville. Despite looking like the broiest bro that ever did bro…
…owning a business at that age is a pretty good start to life. Destito Tree Service is highly rated on Google, Angie’s List, and Home Advisor, so this seems like a genuine aberration.
The only thing that could hurt this business is if the owner started acting like a 26 year old shithead over a bad review.
Oops! Be more of a raging douche canoe – you can’t. This is man’s work, son. Someone take this little boy home and get him a juice box and fruit rollup, he needs a nap.
Douchebag Destito sure is an internet tough guy, huh? Or….was. Because, at one point during this festive douche parade, a Turtle Rider decided tag us:
And 17 minutes later, Douchetastic Destito, who had zero fucks to give about anyone’s opinion up until that point, suddenly had a change of heart and posted an apology, tail firmly tucked between his legs.
Either someone talked some sense into him or he realized the hornets nest he had stirred up and was trying some damage control.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
