We are swimming in GoFundMe scams today. Here’s another one out of Framingham:
So this guy Shawn Harrington needs $1,000 because he got in a car accident, plus it’s the holidays so he needs spare cash. Because apparently he doesn’t have car insurance and had no real plans for the immediate future.
Originally from Holliston, Shawn claims to be a delivery driver and lives in Section 8 housing Hamilton Apartments.
So it’s not enough that he gets government assistance for the roof over his head, he needs people to chip in more.
Awesome cover photo by the way. If you’re not guilted into donating to this face after he shares it a million times on Facebook…..
…then you have no soul. Guess it was better than the alternative.
Here’s the thing though. Sean should probably be focused on other things right now. Like getting his act together so DCF gives him his son back:
Ah yes, it “wasn’t to their liking.” In other words, the walls were covered in filth, the carpet was completely destroyed, and the Christmas lights were still up in August.
Oh, and the kid has a rash and the school filed a 51a on them:
Once again, in his opinion the apartment was clean. Just not “DCF clean.”
He has been working on it though:
But to no avail, because apparently he had to “get his act together.”
In the meantime he posts a lot of these “poor me, I have fibromyalgia” on Facebook:
Except he’s too lazy to type something out himself, so he copy and pastes it and tells you to do the same.
If any of this is true it likely means he’s also collecting social security. But it’s not enough. Because it’s never enough.
Anyway, he was quite pleased with the progress being made:
And instead of contacting a lawyer about how he could get his kid back, he contacted Facebook:
Which is smart, because 95% of people on Facebook have Internet law degrees. A few more letters oughtta do the trick though:
Either that or thoughts and prayers:
And honestly, I’m beginning to wonder if there was even a car he crashed in the first place. Especially since he posted a couple months back that his car was repossessed and it caused him to lose his job at Papa Gino’s:
Either way, if this thunder twat just got off Facebook for five minutes and got a friggin job he’d probably be able to make some progress on getting his kid back. Often we blog about tragic stories of DCF failure when kids die who should’ve been saved from deadly situations. But this is one of many stories that doesn’t get reported. A special needs kid living in Motel Mogadishu with deadbeat parents who obviously neglect him. A kid like this doesn’t belong anywhere near a house like this until Mom and Dad can prove that they’re functional adults like the rest of us. So good for DCF for taking action and saving this kid from living in that Framingham shithole.
