We exposed GoLocalWorcester last week because their owner, Josh Fenton, is a proven liar who claims to get 3.4 million pageviews a month, but in reality, gets closer to 200,000. We provided proof, because we have screenshots of their backpages, showing you how dramatically their pageviews had fallen since their relationship with Turtleboy Sports ended in March. Page views are listed in the right hand column. Here are their pageviews with Turtleboy:

Here they are after Turtleboy:

As you can see, we made Josh Fenton’s website worth talking about, and all we got was this lousy t-shirt. LOL. Just kidding, Josh would never give anyone a free t-shirt.

We had no plans to release this information until Josh Fenton started acting like he owned the story about the misspelled sign at North High and gave us the “choice” between writing an apology/retraction story or going to court. Why anyone in their right mind wants to dance with the Turtleboy is beyond me. But he poked the bear and he ended up getting exposed. Throw him in the pile.

Look, we wanted to be friendly with GoLocalWorcester, because Pat Sargent is a good shit. But Josh made it clear that we must be adversaries. And since they charge over twice what we do for ad space, we’re obviously a huge threat to put him out of business. The problem is that Josh bases his page views on lies, which we have proven. He then goes to potential advertisers and tells them he’s gonna charge them a price for a certain amount of views. They have no idea if they’re actually getting that many hits or clicks, because they trust him. Big mistake.

Well now it’s apparent why GoLocalWorcester is all fired up – they are the official fanboy for Mayor Joe Petty’s failing reelection campaign, because they know we’re helping Mike Gaffney become the next mayor of Worcester. Since we left them they brought on board Paul Giorgio as a writer, who just happens to be Petty’s special campaign manager. Oh yea, and did we mention that he had charges of having sex with a minor brought against him in civil court in 2003? Luckily he and the alleged victim reached a “confidential settlement” in 2006. A year later in ought seven he was sentenced to 6 months probation and 40 hours of community service for voter fraud.

Oops!!!

This is who Josh Fenton chose to bring on board. We don’t hire ex-cons at Turtleboy Sports. We also assume that if he’s like the dozens of people from Rhode Island who reached out to us once they read the expose last week, there’s a good chance he hasn’t been paid yet either. Did we mention that Paul Giorgio also owns Pulse Magazine – a useless rag that shakes down every local restaurant and bar and prods them to “advertise” in his magazine? He fails to mention that no one reads anything in Pulse except the pictures from the bars that weekend. And to get in there you gotta pay Giorgio top dollar.

Anyway, it’s pretty clear after Paul Giorgio’s article in GoLocalWorcester today that GLW is the official propaganda machine for Joe Petty’s campaign. The article is entitled, “Take Back Worcester” and basically mocks anyone who thinks that Worcester has become a more dangerous city under Joe Petty’s watch. We’d quote it but then Josh Fenton would do the whole Internet lawyer thing again, and we just don’t have the patience for that right now.

Allow me to paraphrase what Paul Giorgio wrote:

“Donald Trump has grown in popularity with people who wanna take America back, even though there’s nothing wrong with the way the country is being run. The same thing is also happening in Worcester, as can be seen from the Facebook page, “Take Worcester Back.”

The Telegram and Gazette interviewed some citizens who think the city has become unsafe. These people have no freaking clue what they’re talking about. If you’re not a gang-banging drug dealer it’s as safe as can be. We’re the second biggest city in New England and with that comes gangs, drugs, and traffic jams. Big deal.

But none of that matters because we have an Art Museum. Oh yea, and Hanover Theater too!! Plus there’s tons of food and a bunch of colleges. So yea, things are looking pretty good around here, and I have no idea what these whiny a-holes are all whining about. Anyone who thinks the city is unsafe is in the TEA PARTY and is only trying to incite a riot.

In reality Worcester’s biggest problem is heroin. There’s tons of addicts and nowhere for them to get rid of their needles. So obviously the only sensible solution is to create needle dropoffs where heroin addicts can get rid of their needles, so they don’t have to throw them on the ground. We also need a recovery high school that Joe Petty “bravely” suggested, so young kids addicted to drugs can all go to school together where they will never, ever do drugs with each other.

The only person who is against this sensible idea is Billy Breault, a guy who actually lives in Main South and heads the health alliance down there. He has no fucking clue what he’s talking about, probably because he’s one of those TEA PARTY nutbags who wants to “take their city back.” I say phooey to that. Let’s take it back from them because they’ve already taken it back from us.”

That’s basically what he said in a nutshell. This is what GoLocalWorcester has become. An outlet for an accused pedophile and convicted voter fraudulent, who now runs Mayor Petty’s campaign, to spew anti-Gaffney propaganda. Oh well, sure beats another “Top 25 Things People Said This Weekend” slideshow that Josh Fenton forces his readers to make!!

This is the trick they love to pull though – the “TEA PARTY” card. He even capitalized it in his article. Because it’s fucking SCARY!!!! Even though our choices for City Council include two independents (Mike Gaffney and Rob Sargent) and a democrat (Konnie Lukes), that doesn’t matter. If you’re against the entrenched, machine politicians, who literally sat and did nothing as teachers and principals were assaulted at North, and a two year old was shot at Plumley Village, then you’re in the TEA PARTY!!

Gotta love his comment that unless you’re in a gang, you’re not in danger. Tell that to the 50 people a week who have had cars stolen this summer – a record pace. Tell that the the two year old and his mother who were shot at Plumley Village. Tell that to the man who was killed in broad daylight at Hope Cemetary, for the crime of visiting the headstone of a man who was killed in gang violence.

Yea, things are going just great because Paul Giorgio went to the Art Musuem this weekend and then got some dinner at Bocado.

This fool is probably feeding and fueling the city’s heroin epidemic one way or another. Old Boys Club

The good people of Worcester deserve far better than Joe Petty. If I were still living in Worcester my vote would be for Mike Gaffney.

If you like the daily gang violence, thugs roaming the streets in ATV, terrorizing the halls of North High, devastating neighborhoods such as June, Burncoat and Hamilton Streets, vote for Petty. If you don’t, don’t.

Because none of those things were around before Petty, and will all be magically solved if Petty is not in office.

If you don’t like Petty or his policies then don’t vote for him. Just don’t sit there and pretend all the woes of the city are the fault of one man who really doesn’t have that much more power than the other councilors. If you feel the current administration is at fault, you need to blame them all, which includes the likes of Lukes and Gaffney.

that is ridiculous, especial after his performance at the JCC. Nothing has been five to stop the bleeding in the city as far as crime goes. The good ‘ol boy network is the most nauseating thing about local politics, period. People that put Petty signs in their yard should think twice, because their house obviously hasn’t been broken into yet, AND IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME. it’s really ssd that most people need something really terrible to happen close to home to change their position. Worcester has put an end to my feelings of ‘that doesn’t happen to me because I work hard, have a family, and doo the right thing.’

It’s disconcerting the amount of joe petty signs I see on people’s lawns. Especially on the west side.
