If you like free speech and want to support what we’re doing, feel free to donate to the Turtle fund:
Hey fam – if you’d like to support Turtleboy and what we do here, feel free to hit the donate button at the top. We basically have to run this site like a Bernie Sanders campaign now since we’ve been blacklisted by Google and Facebook, due to the fact that rabid SJWs keep reporting our posts. Getting blacklisted by Google is a death sentence for most websites, since it’s much harder to monetize. And we all know the damage Facebook has done. We’re never going to stop fighting for free speech, but in the meantime the best way for turtle riders to fight back is to donate to the cause. Without you people none of this is possible. We love you all.
Bad news for our friend Greg Master Bates:
The Patch basically took all the work we did this week and didn’t credit or link us in this story. But that’s OK because a terrible human being has been thoroughly exposed by the turtle and he’s going to jail:
Beverly Police have opened an investigation of Greg Bates, the founder of the popular North Shore Eats Facebook group. Bates has come under fire in recent days for allegedly exchanging favorable reviews for gift cards from local restaurants and inflating claims of how much he has donated to charity from fundraiser he has hosted since founding the group.
The investigation, according to multiple sources, is looking into whether Bates and his girlfriend Suzanne Kosch violated laws in hosting fundraisers they claimed were to raise money for charity. At least one complaint has been filed with the department, and police are asking anyone with evidence of illegal activity to contact them.
The charity that Bates said he was donating money to said Thursday it has received $13,000 from him since 2016. But nearly $10,000 of that came from ticket sales for a fundraiser through a third-party website that Bates promoted on his popular North Shore Eats Facebook group, meaning he turned over about $3,000 to the Northeast Arc Autism Support Center from the fundraisers he claimed to be running by raffling off gift cards that had been donated by restaurants.
The $13,000 is far short of the total Bates has claimed to raise in posts on the Facebook group, which is a forum for people to discuss North Shore restaurants and exchange reviews. In posts to the group in September and November of last year and April of this year, Bates claimed to have made donations totaling $27,000. In a private Facebook messenger exchange, Bates claimed to donate between $100,000 and $200,000 annually Northeast Arc.
The charity has started asking donors to send donations directly to Northeast Arc. Bates has been under fire after reports that he solicited donations from restaurants in exchange for favorable reviews on the Facebook group he runs. Patch has reached out to Bates for comment on the donations and will update this story if he responds.
Hey Greg – Don’t. Poke. The. Turtle.
I really hope the Beverly Police are taking this seriously. We’ve profiled a lot of scumbags before, but I honestly think he might be the worst. He’s a complete sociopath. What did it for me was when he messaged us and told us that it was a fake Greg Bates account that sent Gina Goodwin the message about the Peabody cop calling her a crook. Then she videotaped herself clicking on the link to his page in their conversation, landed on his page, and he STILL denied it. It was right then and there that I realized that the man is a pathological LIAR who pretends to be this nice guy, but in reality he’s just human garbage.
And I GUARANTEE when this all sorts itself out he will threaten to kill himself. He won’t actually do it because he’s an attention seeking pity-queef who will want people to feel bad for him. But the only people we feel bad for are his family members who he continues to drag into the shitstorm he calls life.
For further evidence on just how insane he is, despite this story coming out earlier today he is STILL posting raffle updates on North Shore Eats like nothing happened:
Ummmmmm….dude, everyone’s talking about you. Have some self awareness. The jig is up. We got you. It’s over. Cops are coming. Yet he’s still in denial, just like he was with the Gina video:
No Greg, you don’t give out the gift cards. Look, we found another on:
And we’ll have more on that in our final chapter tomorrow.
Of course the real reason he’s still on this page is because it’s his only source of income. He has no choice. God knows this Muffmaster isn’t gonna get a job. Then he’d have to give money to his kids!! That and the fact that there are still plenty of people like this:
“He owes no one answers.”
Actually Laura, he does. He owes everyone answers. He convinced them the raffles were fair. He convinced them that the money they paid for raffle tickets was going to a charity. He told them the posts were authentic and not advertisements. He conned them into thinking he was a decent human being.
Ya see, you and Judy aren’t smart people. He preys on simple folks like you. He knows you’re gullible and will fall for his nice guy routine. You’re his biggest victim because you continue to believe his lies. You’re the reason he’s not hiding out right now – he can still prey on you.
And the “hiding behind anonymity” thing no longer has any meaning. Our anonymity is what allows us to break stories like this. The only thing that matters is that we brought you documented FACKS. It doesn’t matter who the messenger is, the only thing that matters is the truth the messenger brought you.
What’s sad is that the page is actually a great page. And because of Greg Bates no one trusts it anymore, because everyone assumes that posts made on the page are bought and paid for:
They don’t trust that the raffles are legit:
And I hope this coward steps down and lets someone else run it because I actually like the concept. I get hungry just looking at it. But the only way it can work is if there are zero sponsorships and it’s treated like a hobby instead of a business. Gift cards should all go through the restaurants instead of a middle man, and they should pin a link to the Arc foundation at the top of the page so people can donate directly to them. No more cash. No more Chrissy Langdon’s. No more extortion. No more weaponizing your following. No more Greg Bates.
Anyway, it’s been fun exposing this guy, but I’m ready to move on. We’re gonna do Part 7 as a finale tomorrow and move on to some new ratchets while the BPD cleans up the trash. See ya then turtle riders.
