On Friday we shared this story with you about an Easthampton man whose special needs brother was mocked by a woman on her Facebook page. Evidently she posted a video and snapchat of the encounter, which we have seen but have given our word we would not show. But I can tell you that it is HORRIBLE. Truly horrible. Here’s what the man’s brother Matt Fournier’s initial post:
Good for him for standing up for his brother. We also encouraged the woman, Haley Marissa Gordon, to issue a public apology to begin to try to make amends. And what do you know? It worked:
Bullshit. That’s not an apology. I’ve seen the snapchat. It’s horrible. The bullshit is when she says that it’s not her intent to make fun of or embarrass Kevin. She posted a picture of him, circled his face, wrote something intentionally mean about it, and put it up for the public to mock. Her intent was clear – mock a special needs man because he’s a stranger. A victimless crime in her eyes.
If you’re gonna apologize, then apologize. Admit that you did something you are embarrassed of. What you did sucked, but more importantly your intentions sucked. That’s what you need apologize for – your INENTIONS. But instead you claimed your intentions were noble, and therefore we are left to believe that it is our fault for perceiving what you wrote as intentionally harmful.
She claims she saw Kevin Fournier in some sort of haunted house, but the snapchat picture we came across is in a well lit area. She’s hiding behind someone and taking a candid shot of Kevin as he smiles with glee. She then circles his face with a red marker and writes, “OH MY LORD!!” This is followed by 9 emoticons of the smiley face crying with laughter.
Her supporters are buying into the bullshit:
Oh, I see. She though Kevin Fournier, a HUMAN BEING, was so horrifying looking that he was an employee of a haunted house? Well that make things WAY better pinhead!! But please, tell me more about how this is at all analogous to Mike Brown and “Trey” Martin. Because it’s basically the same exact thing as black teenagers getting shot. Literally no difference.
It’s undeniable that she did NOT think this was an employee, as she is claiming. Employees at haunted houses don’t stand in the middle of a well lit room without a mask on. That would be a pretty shitty haunted house. And if it were a haunted house, she wouldn’t take a picture of someone she thought was an employee and laugh at it on social media. Because no one would think that’s funny and neither would she.
And this is not an isolated incident. We’ve gotten over a dozen emails and Facebook messages from people who have had similar interactions with Haley. The fact of the matter is that Haley is hot. Very hot. And she knows it. There’s nothing more dangerous than a hot girl who knows it. They think they can do no wrong and get away with anything. Then when shit hits the fan they can just offer a bullshit apology and move on. Haven’t you people seen Mean Girls? That shit’s real.

Here’s another thing – she left the comments section open. Literally anyone can post and it has turned into a circus. If this were a real apology she would’ve set her privacy controls so that no one could comment. But clearly this girl is in it for the drama and she thinks this is sufficient.
This girl is clearly not ready to apologize and I hope the family doesn’t fall for it. They’d just be giving her what she wants and she’d leave there feeling good about herself. She’s a shitty person and she’s gonna continue doing shitty things until she gets knocked up and learns to love a human being like Matt Fournier loves his brother.
The only good thing that has come out of this is that it has united a community. I’ve been to Easthampton before. It’s a blue collar town that has the misfortune of being next to Holyoke. But it seems like one of those tight knit communities where everyone knows each other. And clearly Kevin Fournier is one of the most likable guys in town. Unfortunately it took an event like this to raise awareness that there are still shitty people out there, but a strong community can come together to show that they will protect people like Kevin from these dooshnozzles.

So there’s an article on Masslive says Matt never saw the video. You said you’ve see it but won’t post it so we’re just supposed to believe it’s truly horrible. Well, even if you can’ t find it…what you can find is, just a few weeks back there was a story posted on this site about a special needs child along with pictures mocking the child some people made jokes, referred to him as “pissing his pants” and people were actually liking the comments. Not sure how much more screwed up you can get than that.
