What happened at last night’s Leicester-Auburn high school football game is what America is REALLY about. This game was not originally on the schedule. I’m pretty sure Leicester was supposed to play Tantasqua and Auburn was supposed to play Quaboag. But Auburn coach Jeff Cormier and Leicester coach Tim Griffiths made this game happen in order to honor deceased Auburn Police Officer Ron Tarentino, since these were the two towns in which he served the people as a cop. Each end zone had one of his badge numbers on it, and the game was played on a Thursday, rather than a Friday, because it deserved to be the first one played. Over 5,000 people ended up showing up last night, and in one of the most amazing and touching moments in sports history, Trisha Tarentino was surprised when her son PFC Ron Tarentino III (a Leicester HS graduate), who serves his country in Fort Bragg, NC, returned home and came out in full pads to present his mother with the game ball:

So just remember that when Colin Kaepernick and Brandon Marshall, and all these other LOSERS refuse to stand for the flag because they think cops are oppressing them, THESE are the cops that they aren’t talking about. Colin Kaepernick could tell you all about Michael Brown, but he couldn’t tell you a damn thing about Ron Tarentino. Which of those two was a bigger loss for society? Turtleboy could refuse to stand for the flag because the Jorge Zambrano’s of the world are oppressing police officers, but we’re not gonna do that because we know that the flag doesn’t represent the bad guys. It represents the goodness that America has to offer, which was on full display in Auburn last night.
The Rockets ended up winning the game by a touchdown but it’s safe to say that everyone was a winner in Auburn last night.

Just reading the title of this article, one can see why things are so divided…
That is for sure moving. Well done by both Auburn and Leicester.
Awful clickbait for whoever wrote this though.
1) This is what “America” is really about? That is so dumb and generic. America is a lot of things. What Colin Kapernick is doing happens to be extremely American as well. (Not that I give a fuck about some back up QB taking a knee during a song. That is his right as an American).
2) Your comment about who is the “biggest loss to society” drips with ignorance and racism. Who the fuck are you to say who is a bigger loss to society? Michael Brown was a CHILD. We have no idea what sort of man he was going to grow up to be. He stole some cigarillos! Big deal. Kids do stupid shit. He still had family and friends and a whole life ahead of him. It is a HUGE loss to society when a child is gunned down.
Officer Tarentino by all accounts sounds like an amazing human being with a great family. We can all agree that this is a HUGE loss to society. Gut wrenching really.
To evaluate his death as being a bigger loss on society than the murder of an unarmed black child is disgusting and ignorant. Murder has a disastrous, rippling, effect on society.
I’m not the resident expert on Black Lives Matter, but I think your “bigger loss for society” comment right there pretty much sums up that entire movement.
Clearly this is your first time here. This is a WHITE PRIDE, KLAN AFFILIATED site. Turtleboy trashes blacks on the regular because they’re worthless. We’re all about one thing: advancing the white race. So fuck off if you won’t help.
OK Kevin. Back to your mom’s basement.
PC- Michael Brown was a child? Are you that retarded that you knowingly ignore facts? He was an 18 year old 6’4″ 290 pound MAN with a criminal record and piss-poor upbringing. Yeah he stole cigarillos, big deal, kids do stupid shit. But he crossed the line when he fought with a police officer in a struggle for his gun. What exactly do you think this “child” was going to do with that gun once he wrested it away from the officer? Michael Brown was not “murdered”as that implies premeditation. It was a justifiable homicide. He was a thug who got what he deserved. And where is your outrage over the continued slaughter of pre-teen black children by other blacks in Chicago, San Bernardino, and Detroit? Little kids minding their own business, playing on the front porch end up eating a bullet because “Uncle Ray Ray” happens to wear the wrong color bandanna. That’s the real crime, and the blm buffoons conveniently ignore it because it doesn’t fit their racist anti-cop agenda. #fuckmichaelbrown
Reminds me of a song Gerry Callahan sang the other day:
If you’re black and you know it, take a knee.
If you’re black and you know it, take a knee.
If you’re black and you know it and you’re A REAL METCO GORILLA!!!!! WHITE POWER!!!!! WHITE POWER!!!!!! WHITE POWER!!!!!!!!
If you’re black and you know it, take a knee.
I’m sorry but this is the dumbest article I have ever read. How dare you compare the loss of a police officer and an innocent man who was shot and killed, Micheal brown. EVERY life is important. No one life is more significant to society than another. This is nothing but pure ignorance and I hope for whoever wrote this article, they get a pure reality check.
There has been plenty of attention brought forth of incidents as you are describing Ariana. I agree with you in that every life is important. As far as I am concerned there is just one race – the human race. Unfortunately Micheal Brown was a criminal who lived by the sword and died by the sword.
What does it mean to live by the sword and die by the sword? Answer: The saying “live by the sword, die by the sword” is an idiom that basically is saying who lives violently will probably at some point be killed in a violent manner.
That will happen to any member of the human race unless it is realized that lawlessness will have consequences and in some cases a fatality.
Lesson to be learned: Fly straight then you’ll see the world progress and enjoy all that which that entails. Grow old because old people get the best parking spaces.
Well call me lgorant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fucking racist, saying every life matters. Don’t you know black lives matter!
Well, unless you’re white. Or a cop. Or a white cop – their lives REALLY don’t matter.
That was sarcasm, by the way.
No lives matter! You are all equally worthless!

Back on point minus the crap in the middle of this comment section. If this story and that video does not tug at your heart? Then you do not have one…
I still remember when people worked for a living, then went to play sports. have a beer and interact, regardless of race. faith or fandom.
Please say it ain’t so. BobnMic squared.
Got it wrong again Fiesty. As usual. Let’s try to stay on point shall we? This story is no joke.
sorry to say, but supporting Colin Kaepernick is supporting liberty…
PLEASE don’t attack people or think less of people who don’t stand for a country’s anthem. A country is just a place. One of 195 other countries in the world. All of which have both good and bad things about them. Some worse than others. The best countries have a government where the people are free to support or NOT SUPPORT what they choose, so long as it is within the reasonable requirements of the law. And this country (as most countries) is not perfect. We were born on the near extermination of an entire people group, we were furthered on the backs of inhumane slavery, and we are increasingly a country of people who reject and deny the very existence of the God who created us, the creator who should have our TRUE allegiance. The economic abundance we enjoy today is largely derived from the favorable economic construct that was established by our forefathers. So really, one of the few noble and pure things we can claim as a nation is that we DON’T crucify people for their beliefs and what they support so long as it is lawful. THAT is one of the FEW things that make this nation and this government great. Don’t take that away from us. Support liberty.
I understand that our citizens (and those of most countries) are indoctrinated from a very young age to have pride in their country. But, I don’t think that (especially as Christians) we are under any obligation to show pride or allegiance to any earthy government. (I make my boast in Christ alone) And I know most government supporters will claim that we should be standing to support those who have died for our freedoms, In that line of thinking, then soldiers from Palestine are to be honored by their citizens for fighting to give them a country of their own and to keep their boarders firm. That sort of consideration for war and soldiers would then need to universally apply to all soldiers regardless of birth country. When we fought against Britain in the Revolutionary war, their citizens supported their soldiers believing that they were protecting and furthering the best interests of their nation. For us to publicly pledge allegiance in a public display of support for war and the soldiering profession we are diminishing the sacrifice of lives made by those in other nations all throughout the world. Jesus has brought the gospel to all nations to people of every color, sect and nationality with no partiality. I therefore submit that the lives lost at the end or our soldiers’ weapons are no less valuable than those who lost their lives protecting our boarders and freedoms. I can not by scripture support any other stance.
And as Christians we are told to love our enemies and to turn the other cheek. As a christian how can we say we are doing that if our profession is to shoot people or we are in agreement with a government who perpetually makes war upon other nations ? In the early church, soldiers were only allowed to become part of the church if they made an oath not to kill anyone in the course of their profession. I understand that America has partaken in wars with a noble cause, championing freedom and bearing the banner of democracy, But often the wars we fight have economic motivations and they allow us to have favorable trade relations and avenues of exploiting resources from other nations, which is why we deign to champion certain causes around the world at all.
In addition, we have a very well hidden (in plain sight) corruption within our government that allows for money to dictate the course of our legislation that should be government for the people by the people, but so often ends up being government for corporations by corporations. Our government has sold our health and well being to the highest bidder and at every turn blocked the efforts of concerned citizens to impact meaningful change because it will cut into the profits of major corporate interests. Our religious freedoms and parental rights are being undermined and diminished more and more every year; Our government (that at one time stood for freedom) has increasingly become a socialist/fascist leaning government which believes government should dictate what God has granted us the authority to control. (namely the rearing of our children and the autonomy over what medicines we choose to use) As a christian, I have an obligation to only bow the knee to one authority, which is God. God grants certain authority to Governments, which I am obligated to be submitted to because I bend the knee to God, but I am under no obligation to offer anything to the government in any sphere of authority that God has not granted them jurisdiction and that includes pledging my unwavering allegiance which I only grant to God. And this should be the stance of ALL true believers. Shalom
More people have died due to disagreements over religion than any other reason. Religions are corrupt vehicles that preach peace and love, but result in death and destruction. Religions look out only for those in their particular religion. The Crusades, Sunni vs Shiite, Jew vs Muslim; the list goes on and on. Better off being a non-believer.
There is a lot of deception in the world today. Someone labeling themselves a Christian does not make them one. Following Jesus commandments will demonstrate true believers in Jesus. (and there are a lot of fake Christians who take the name of the Lord in vain and deny Him by their deeds.)
And since, logically, there’s only one truth about God and creation and how all this came to be and the purpose behind life, then it would reason that there are a lot of false beliefs floating around out there. Saying believing in nothing is better than believing in the truth because of all the lies out there is like saying “I should never get married because there are a lot of cheaters out there.” despite the reality that there is a wonderful, good looking, loving, faithful, helpful and kind woman who is calling out to you saying, “I am yours.” And your reply, “women/men cheat so, scram!” Cry out to God, Seek with all your heart and He God will open the door and open your mind.
did someone actually read the book this moron wrote?
Hell no. Didn’t want the eyes to bleed.
It’s called thoughtfully considering meaningful topics… Just like I thoughtfully considered how perfectly your name suits you. But that wasn’t a meaningful topic.
Regards, J.M.
Leicester was supposed to play Uxbridge, hence why they were there too on the Auburn sideline.
Such a classy display of patriotism and brotherhood. Nice to see a story like this.
Awesome story. Not sure what it has to do with Kaepernick, but you do what you gotta do for clicks, I guess.
The Gallagher shooting is where he ended up, not where he was shot you idiotic dickhead. The shooting was on Loring St. As a matter of fact Kevin, why not go down to the makeshift memorial they have going on and hang with the half dozen or so vacationing people of color and show your remorse. Just bring a golf club with you for protection, just in case your white ass isn’t welcome
I’ll admit, a valiant attempt to string words together to form a story, despite the absolute lack of logic attempting to draw parallels between two non-compatible stories. Kudos. And who knows, if you keep at it, one day you might be able to graduate to community newspaper.
The BLM “movement” is a pathetic excuse of a movement. Anyone who believes in it discredits everything and anything MLK stood for and the progress he made. If he were here today I’ve got to believe he would be calling for peace, not hate and destruction that the BLM “movement” promotes. Pathetic. Kevin Lynch, google BLM and educate yourself on Alicia Garza’s comment #ourlivesmatter and see how it was twisted into #blacklivesmatter. MLK would be ashamed of all of you. If you believe in all of the BLM bullshit vote for Hillary so she can parade the martyrs instead of the good men and women who promote peace, freedom, equality law and order. God Bless the Tarrentino family.
Allergies are brutal today,my eyes wont stop watering.
Gallagher pub shooting in Worcester. Oh, it’s an Irish bar so we will not report on that shooting. I heard someone gave a mean stare at Mambo though so maybe you can send the bandwagon down to Mambos for a story.
I went by Gallagher’s today, what a fucking SHIT-SHOW. They are occupying this business’s parking lot, why the fuck are the police allowing this? It’s a private business. My first thought was, how nice their bosses were able to give them the day off to attend this vigil. My second thought was, one more hoodrat dead, THIN THE HERD !! but hey Black Lives Matter !!!
so much hate…
and, he makes RAP videos too! Such a fine upstanding young man
Outstanding display of family, emotion and patriotism.
Bless our military and LEO’s everywhere.
F anything that has to do with the terrorist organization black lives matter…
The police unions painted the red, white and blue a charcoal black with a cop blue stripe through it. Fucking racist pigs desecration the flag of which my family served and sacrificed for, how dare them terrorist cops.
Now I know you’re just a troll… You’re either inciting or a retard or both. Go away troll… Shoo…
Go molest your niece… Hell is waiting for you, murderer.
I may just take a trip to that shithole town of Fitchburg to offer some knowledge to the retard who lives there.
What a strong woman Mrs t is, outstanding wife of a police officer
Comparing these two stories is what is systemic racism. You make everything out to be about race.
Painting the American flag all black with a dark blue cop stripe through it is what is terrorism.
Such a desecration of the flag is terrorism.
The Nazi regime changed their flag. Hail Hitler is what you stand for turtledick.
Tarrentino was murdered which is a horrible thing. How dare you link a football player to this murder in the way you do it.
Nepotism is what ruined America. Systemic racism within the police department and courts is what ruined America.
My family didnt sacrifice during their service to country in WW2 for you to promote systemic racism either. Your group has destroyed honesty and integrity as you covered up.corruption within the police for way too long.
They have become an illegal gang and should be tried under the Rico act.
GFY
Aren’t you dead yet?
Most bodies would shut down due to lack of oxygen to the brain by now.
You wanna go golfing?
I thought you died?
Fuck you kevin. Go in a closet, tie a belt around your neck, and have a good fap. It will be the best handjob you’ve ever given yourself.
Fuck off Kevin Lynch. Your a POS.
Shit. The dust in this room is brutal. Don’t worry, my eyes will be fine in a minute. Just need a minute.
That video made me bawl my eyes out. Touching moment to say the least
I know, right!?!
I’m usually not sentimental, but there’s a speck of dust in my eye.
When did all this rain start…
Manly tears. They have been shed.
