Josh Fenton is the owner of GoLocalWorcester, GoLocalProvidence, and GoLocalPortland. He’s also a huge buttnut. He pretended like he was going to sue Turtleboy in August, because we used this picture from North High School in one of our blogs:

Still waiting on that lawsuit.

After we embarrassed him by blogging about his whining, he issued a new list of demands, including that we take down the blog that screenshotted all the stupid things he said:

Federal court??!! Yea, I’m sure lots of people go to jail for using a picture of a sign in front of North High. For the record, GoLocalWorcester was one of several media outlets who covered that small, hilarious story this summer. Obviously we all had to use a picture of that sign. But since he reported it first, it means he owns the story, and thus all rights to ANY picture of that sign. This was a HUGE, GoLocalWorcester exclusive, and only they were allowed to write about it.  At least in his mind.

A couple months later it was revealed that Josh Fenton never paid a Portland writer, and was being sued for thousands of dollars. He also lies to his advertisers and tells them he gets over 3 million page views per month. Since we had access to GoLocal’s back page, we just brought up some page view data comparing views when Turtleboy wrote for GoLocal, to views after we left his ass:

As you can see, GoLocalWorcester is a worthless website that no one reads unless Turtleboy is writing for them.

Can’t tell you how many people reached out to us about this poopsmooch afterwards. His Internet lawsuits are legendary down in Rhode Island, and he’s basically made a career out of whining about other people “plagiarizing” GoLocal. But this article from GoLocalProv might be his most hilarious work yet. Basically GoLocalProv reported the now infamous story about the Danny Amendola carport, and now he’s mad that the AP wrote about it without citing GoLocalProv for this “breaking exclusive story”:

GoLocal’s Kate Nagle exclusively broke the story of College Hill neighbors concerned about a metal carport in the middle of one of America’s most historically preserved neighborhoods – that GoLocal was first to uncover belongs to New England Patriot Danny Amendola.

The next day, Associated Press reporter Michelle Smith wrote a very similar story with no attribution to GoLocal’s original journalism. This was not the first time she had lifted a GoLocal story. In 2014, she lifted a GoLocal investigation into plagarism by candidate Jorge Elorza’s campaign of a letter of apology. AP corrected that story after repeated requests and legal threats by GoLocal.

HAHAHHAHA. Dude, no one reads GoLocalProvidence, and most people have never even heard of it. You think he AP is gonna cite you? Who the hell are you? You’re a nobody, working for a nobody media outlet, and you lie about page views in order to scam advertisers. The best part is that he quotes himself in these stories:

“It is amazing that Associated Press, de facto plagiarized our investigative teams’ work on unveiling a mayoral candidates plagiarism,” said Josh Fenton, CEO and Co-Founder of GoLocal24, the parent company of GoLocalProv.com.

HAHAHHAHAHHAHAH. Meanwhile the AP probably has no idea this is happening because they’ve never even been remotely close to his website.

The best part about this is that it’s all over a blip on the radar story about Danny Amendola’s carport. And to Josh Fenton, this is an “exclusive breaking story” that only his “news outlet” can cover. We look forward to many more imaginary Josh Fenton lawsuits to come in the future.
