Can a Christmas Tree be racist? Most of you would probably answer that by saying, “No, of course not. What kind of stupid question is that?” Well, one Worcester apparently disagrees. Her name is Idella Hazard, and she is a staple at City Council meetings. She’s basically an old bag of wind who complains about everything. She’s also been accused of flirting with Mayor Joe Petty, and almost always goes well over her allotted two minutes on the microphone because she’s too busy putting on a show:
Basically, she is a huge pain in the ass for Joe Petty. Normally we’d like a woman like this, but she’s just too bat shit insane. And now she’s leading the charge to take down the Christmas Tree in City Hall because there’s too many white people like her:
Addressing the City Council Tuesday night, Idella Hazard said she feels the Christmas tree, which is decorated with pictures of soldiers who fought in the Civil War, is not appropriate for the holiday season nor is its location inside City Hall. She also complained that that pictures on the tree are only of white soldiers, even though many African-Americans fought in the Civil War.
“I don’t think Christmas is about celebrating war of any kind, and how do we choose which war to celebrate?” she asked. “That is a very sensitive war to celebrate, especially at this time, while we’re having problems throughout the city of Worcester and across the United States.
“I think we should take those decorations off the tree and maybe take the tree out of City Hall,” she continued. “I say, let’s take that tree out of City Hall. Most Christmas trees aren’t even in public buildings that represent government any more. We have a tree outside in the Common, but that tree (inside City Hall) is so controversial it’s not even funny.”
Where do these idiots come up with this stuff? Seriously, who looks at a bunch of pictures of dead soldiers from Worcester on a Christmas Tree and thinks to themselves, “where are all the black dudes?” How obsessed with race do you have to be to even ponder that?
Well Idella, here’s a quick little history lesson. Most black people before the Civil War (and now) lived below the Mason-Dixon line. Indeed there were black soldiers who fought for the Union and were killed by treasonous white trash from slave states. But Worcester only had one person of color fight and die in America’s most deadly war. His name was John H. Johnson. Actually he was from Brookfield and was a shoemaker, but close enough. And there is no picture of him on the tree because no picture of him exists. Ya see, African-Americans at the time tended to make less money. Therefore they couldn’t afford luxuries like cameras. They were just happy to not be slaves.
So yea, that’s why there’s no black people on the tree – because the only black guy who could possibly be up there doesn’t have a photograph. If your dumb ass actually picked up a history book instead of looking for racism where it doesn’t exist, then you could’ve figured this one out on your own.
And for the first time ever we actually have to commend Mayor Puddy for the way he handled this moron:
Idella Hazard: Where are the black faces? He didn’t do his research properly.
Petty: Same old, same old.
HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA!! Bravo!! Same old, same old from the resident cranky grinch. Sit down and shutup lady. Or go back and hold your signs with Crazy Ol’ Gordon Davis and the Sunshine Kid:
Or if you’re really looking for something to complain about then go back to whining about how the Kelley Square 4 should be “honored” because we’re all so “proud of them“:
Merry Christmas beyoch!
