Heavy: An Alabama elementary school teacher is under fire after wearing black face as part of a Halloween costume. Heath Morrow was dressed as Kanye West, while his wife, Shannon, portrayed West’s wife, Kim Kardashian in a photo she posted to Facebook. The photo was later deleted, but it was uploaded to Reddit on Sunday. Morrow, of Decatur, Alabama, also wore a blazer, white T-shirt, gold chain and sunglasses as part of the controversial costume. “I didn’t know dressing up as a celebrity couple would cause so much controversy,” Shannon Morrow told the New York Daily News. “There was no malicious intent in this costume. It’s for HALLOWEEN, the one time a year it is okay. Some of my husband’s best friends are black. There was no racial intent whatsoever.”

Normally we play the “don’t be a PC dooshnozzle” card at Turtleboy Sports, but at some point you cross the line into dumbassery. And that’s what this was. Pure dumbassery. Hey moron – it’s 2015. You can’t wear blackface anymore. I don’t give a shit what your intent was. If you don’t realize that simple rule and can’t foresee this being a problem when you voluntarily upload the picture to social media, then you’re obviously an idiot. The fact that you’re a teacher and don’t know this explains everything I need to know about the state of public schooling in Alabama.

Secondly, fuck this guy for having a smoking hot wife. He’s ugly, he’s paid an Alabama’s teacher’s salary, and he’s obviously very, very dumb. It defies all forms of logic that this man should be blessed with a smoking hot wife. He teaches 5th grade. This is his yearbook picture:

Thirdly, if he was gonna go blackface, then I suppose Kim and Kanye were the most appropriate choice. After all, they are also two of the dumbest people who have ever existed.

Fourthly, this will no doubt about it be used as a way to sell diversity training. Honestly, it might actually be needed in Alabama. Up here in Massachusetts people are smart enough not to do this. That’s what pisses me off about the Circlejerk and Mosaic. You wanna fix racism? Move to Alabama. But instead Joyce McNickles moved FROM Mississippi and came to the most tolerant and progressive state in the country to try to incite racial tension.

Fifthly, it’s asinine that this guy should lose his job for this. It legitimately sounds like he didn’t know any better. Is the guy a good teacher? Does he come to work every day and help kids learn? If so then obviously we shouldn’t get rid of him because he made one stupid mistake. It would be one thing if he did it maliciously, but clearly this dumbass doesn’t know any better. Get his ass some diversity training and he’ll be all fixed up.

Lastly, I am sure we will get a barrage of comments about how Turtleboy has gone soft and how we’re selling out to the PC police and blah, blah, blah. Listen up angry white folk – black people are not halloween costumes. You can still be Kanye West without going blackface. Just dress up like a huge asshole, offend everyone you meet, and everyone will figure out that you’re Kanye West. If you’re 5’8″ and you want to be Tom Brady for Halloween, you don’t go out and by stilts. You throw on a Brady jersey and you’re Tom Brady. You don’t have to physically recreate every aspect of the person you are going as.
