The owner of Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors on Main Street if offering to bury the toddler whose body was found on Deer Island in Winthrop last month, free of charge. Because Peter Stefan is one of the greatest people in Worcester. That’s why we’ve had Peter Stefan’s back since day one.
It’s funny that two years ago Worcester County’s biggest morons were lined up outside the funeral home to protest the fact that he was offering to bury Uncle Ruslan’s stupid nephew Timon. Remember these genisues?
LOL. Trader. Then there was this beautifully crafted cardboard sign:
See that? That’s the reason I didn’t like the “Boston Strong” slogan. Because it encouraged morons like this to protest dead bodies. Like, what the fuck were we supposed to do with Timon’s body? Incinerate it? Peter Stefan was offering to take his body, put it in a wooden casket and then bury it six feet in the ground where it will be eaten by millions of bugs. Somehow this disgraces our military. P.S.- Is this the greatest sign ever made?

Obviously this story of generosity and compassion is being widely received and shared as a sign that humanity knows no bounds. But of course there always has to be that one turd in the punch bowl:
Oh look, another American citizen from the north, who proudly displays the flag of an imaginary country that declared war on America. This is the pro-confederate flag crowd folks. It’s the same crowd who thinks that protesting a dead body and bad mouthing the one guy who was willing to get rid of Timon’s dead body, makes them a patriotic American.

Peter has ALWAYS done- and continues to do- a massive amount of work and giving to the poor and unknowns in giving them a dignified funeral and burial; going way back to when no other funeral director would even touch the body of some poor soul who died of AIDS.
If everybody in Worcester was like Peter, it would be the best place on the planet to live.
