Yesterday we published this blog sharing our thoughts on the viral video of Fitchburg State basketball player Kewan Platt viciously elbowing Nichols College guard Nate Tanaglia during a game in the Burg.
Well, right on cue the victim blaming brigade showed their faces…..
“Not defending his actions, but…..”
Actually that’s exactly what you’re doing – making shit up to defend his actions. What’s your proof that the victim called the criminal the n word? Some basic bitch named Tori with an I on Facebook said it happened, therefore it did. Was she there that night? Doesn’t matter. She said it happened, therefore it did.
As Desiree points out, this is “what I was looking for.”
She was “looking for” a way to blame the victim, and a stranger posting an unconfirmed story about the incident was more than she could’ve hoped to find.
No, he did not call the Kewan the n word. Ya know how I know that? Because he plays basketball. When you play basketball you’re going to have a lot of black teammates, and you know damn well the consequences of using that word as a white boy.
Two of Nate Tanaglia’s teammates on the court at the time of the incident were black, and all five FSU players were black. If he spit on and called Kewan the n word he would’ve gotten his ass beat the moment he said it. But as you can clearly see in that video, Kewan was just butthurt that this non-foul wasn’t called a foul.
And for that he got knocked the fuck out.
Lies like this aren’t harmless. They damage innocent people, because people blindly believe it. This is why we fight at Turtleboy Sports – because people who lie on the Internet deserve to be called out for being liars.
