So yesterday we exposed Worcester District 4 City Councilor Sarai Rivera for being the fraud that she is. If you didn’t get a chance to read that scathing expose, here’s the link. Basically, our beef was with the fact that Sarai Rivera calls herself a “reverend” while supporting openly racist and bigoted people, merely because they are not white. Because after all, if you’re not white then you have magical powers to not be racist. As hilarious as that concept sounds, there are thousands of morons in this city, like Sarai Rivera, who subscribe to that philosophy. So when known racist Nathan Pickens said this about community leader Mesfin Beshir:

We expected a woman of the cloth to let Mr. Pickens know that his bigotry has no place in Worcester. Instead we got this:

AKA, the whole “house nigger” thing was a little strong, but overall she’s cool with it. After all Mesfin Beshir, a man who runs a program that helps immigrants adjust to life in America, is the REAL problem in Worcester, not Nathan Pickens.

What’s even more hilarious was when she tried to alert WTAG’s Jim Polito on Twitter today, that everything Turtleboy published was a lie:

LOL. That’s all ya got Sarai? “That is false”? Damn, even Sonya “ChaCha” Conner’s “It wasn’t me” defense is more plausible than that. It’s like, ummmmmm, it’s all right there. All we did was take screenshots of things that you said. How can a picture be a lie?

Anyway, after we published that blog we got an email from a family member of Sarai, who wanted to share a very disturbing voicemail that Sarai left with her three years ago. Since this incident the two have not spoken. Ya got that? Even her own family trusts Turtleboy more than her. Quick background story. Sarai and her sister had a disagreement about a family issue, and it led to this:

Note to self – don’t fuck with Dr. Reverend Sarai Rivera. She will literally eat Turtleboy for lunch. That voicemail gives me chills, but yet, it mildly arouses me at the same time. As a commenter pointed out yesterday, Sarai Rivera has the whole Sonya “Boom-Boom” Conner thing going on. She’s just so sassy it’s irresistible.

But yea, she probably shouldn’t be a reverend. That’s because at the end of the day, she’s not really a reverend. She went to an online school and became one. Anyone can do that. But it’s not exactly divinely sanctioned. It’s the ITT Tech of the cloth.

All I know is, I grew up going to church, and I never once heard Msgr. Scollen talk like that. I mean, he meant business and all, but never once did he ever say to me or my mother, “You live a sucky ass life. You’ve been through I dunno how many men, and my kids call you Aunti ho.” Nah, that wasn’t really his style. He was more like, “Go to confession and God will bring you salvation.” Stuff like that.

But that’s because Msgr. Scollen actually went to the seminary. He’s like, a real religious leader. He didn’t take an online class to get his cool white neck thingy. He never told me to “Stop talking so much trash out of your mouth.” He was more like, “Jesus showed love and compassion to sinners.”

But once again, that’s because Msgr. Scollen was using the pulpit as a way to bring believers closer to God. Despite the fact that he seemed to have a more personal relationship with the big guy upstairs, he didn’t shove it in your face. You know, like Reverend Sarai Rivera did in that voicemail. Every other word was her shrieking “Aye,” which evidently en espanol means, “The hand of God is gonna come upon you.” Come on girlfriend – that type of talk is SO Old Testament.

And nowhere in the Bible did I ever read about Jesus condemning “hoes.” As a matter of fact, didn’t he once say, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” after saying a woman who was guilty of being a ho? Also, did Jesus ever say to anyone, “You sure can run your mouth, let’s see if you’re tough enough?” That must’ve been a passage from the Gospel of Bret Killoran.

I only bring up the Jesus stuff, because Sarai is quite fond of comparing herself to God’s favorite son:

Anyway, the best part about being a “reverend” is that you don’t have to pay taxes on your property because you can just call it a church. Well, Sarai’s father was also a reverend, and his church was located at 89 Austin Street. Evidently her father, who is now suffering from Alzheimer’s, signed over the deed to the property to Sarai three years ago. Since it is a “church,” despite the fact that it sits there and rots and has become a huge eyesore, she is not responsible for paying any property taxes on it:

According to her sister, this caused a rift with the family, as family members feel their father was manipulated and taken advantage of by his daughter Sarai. She allegedly evicted him from the property after that and took out a loan for $60,600 which has never been paid back. FYI, the Iglesia Christiana de la Comunidad, is a corporation church partly owned by Sarai Rivera:

Anyway, we didn’t wanna get too into the family beef. But the thing that was most concerning for this Turtleboy is the fact that Sarai Rivera continues to moonlight as a pastor when she’s not on the City Council. A few months back she actually held a press conference with other “reverends” to discuss the problems that Turtleboy Sports was creating. After hearing that voicemail, this quote of her’s now seems pretty hilarious:

“This hate speech is intended to degrade and intimidate, creating a hostile environment that we will not embrace or condone. Today we stand and call for an end to all the hate speech so that as a community we can proceed ahead.”

LOL. Yea, Turtleboy is the one with the hate speech. This is coming from a woman who vocally supported Nathan Pickens when he called Mesfin Beshir a “coon” and “house nigger.” This is coming from a woman who leaves voicemails on for her sister calling her “Auntie Ho.” But please, tell me more about how Turtleboy is the one who degrades and intimidates through hate speech.

But she didn’t just blame Turtleboy, she blamed all you who read Turtleboy Sports:

“These dialogues on race are coming at an important time in Worcester’s history.” Rev. Rivera read. Ms. Rivera acknowledged that many people in the city see the blog as an issue, but said it isn’t as simple as blaming the blogger. “He’ll only go as far as people let him,” she said. “What does that say about us as a society?”

Yea, don’t you turtle riders get it? You’re letting Turtleboy run wild with all this hate speech. None of it is coming from Sarai and her fantastic friends. It’s all coming from Turtleboy. Turtleboy is the cause of all of Worcester’s problems. If we weren’t out here telling the truth every day then Sarai could go on supporting her racist friends, swindling her family, avoiding property taxes, and pretending to be a real pastor.

The bottom line is Sarai Rivera needs to resign immediately, both as a pastor and a city councilor. It’s clear she has lost her ability to be a leader, as anyone listening to that voicemail can’t possibly respect her anymore. Let someone else lead the church and the city who isn’t filled with venom and hate.
