Taunton Gazette: A Taunton man was ordered held on $20,000 cash bail at his arraignment Monday for charges involving sexual assault of a child. Louis Pereira, of Gentry Lane, is charged with a single count each of aggravated rape of a child and indecent assault and battery of a child under 14. The rape charge in Pereira’s case involves state statute that the act alleged against him is “aggravated” due to an age difference of more than five years between victim and perpetrator, as well as the fact that the victim at one point was under the age of 12. Pereira, 44, is also scheduled to be arraigned on the same charges Wednesday in Fairhaven District Court.
Those charges, according to that district court clerk’s office, date back to an incident or incidents in 2009. Although the Taunton police report is sealed, the judge who ordered the $20,000 bail described certain details related to the allegations. Pereira, who is described as a salesman for a company in Rhode Island — and who also works part-time as a professional DJ — is alleged to have sexually assaulted a relative of his former girlfriend from the time that the boy was in second grade through middle school.
The judge’s “reasons for ordering bail” document also states Pereira is accused of having showed the victim pornographic material, that he exposed himself, fondled him and encouraged and allowed the child to touch his genitals. Pereira, the document notes, also is alleged to have had a prior history of assaulting his former girlfriend. It describes his prior criminal record as having included a continued without a finding ruling on a vandalism charge, a conviction for assault and battery and a total of four 209A protective orders having been taken out against him.
We believe in innocent until proven guilty in this country, but generally most people who are accused of being kiddie diddlers ended up doing it. Kids don’t just make that shit up out of nowhere. This happened in 2009, which sounds like the kid grew up and finally spoke out against his abuser. If it’s true then it goes without saying that they should lock him up and throw away the key. One thing all people from all persuasions agree on is that we can have no tolerance for kiddie diddlers.
Check out the stuff he’s been posting on Facebook too:
Can’t make this up. The very first thing an accused child molester shared is a meme in which he laments the lack of spanking of small children.
Posting about kids these days seems to be a common theme in his posts:
Accountability for their actions? Dude, you’re being charged with aggravated rape of a child. But please, tell me more about how kids are the ones who need to be held accountable for their actions.
Then there’s this:
Amazing. The guy who is accused of literally raping children is openly judging the way other people raise their children. Not that I disagree with the premise of the meme. You just lose the right to share memes like this if little kids are telling the cops that you gave them handjobs.
