Shoutout to our newest advertiser – the Boston Globe:

It’s great being the turtle. You get to call out and expose all these fake news assholes who try to make you look bad and fail so miserably, and then they repay you by literally giving you money to be seen on your website. That’s how much we own The Boston Globe. And we’re not even gonna encourage you to buy a subscription either. They’re a dying newspaper that badly wants to be seen. So they take their ad budget and they invest it into the website where they know they’re gonna get the most eyeballs on them – Turtleboy. As a matter of fact, do they opposite. If you must click on their website (chances are you’ll never be tempted to), make sure you clear your cookies so you never have to deal with the paywall.

Unfortunately for them it’s not gonna stop us from calling them out time and time again. But hey, if those failed boycotters wanna harass and bother the Globe, more power to em.

P.S. I know these ads all come through third parties like Google AdSense. But they have the ability to pick and choose which sites they get impressions on. They chose us because you all are the target demographic that stopped reading newspapers. They want you back, so they came to the turtle. Because no matter how much people claim to hate Turtleboy, they just can’t stop riding the turtle.

i think its a little hypocritical calling out the Globe for ads on their page when yours ( especially when on a mobile device ) is a seas of s that has gotten more and more obnoxious lately.
