This is Millville Police Chief Ronald Landry.
He recently took a trip to Florida where he purchased a vintage car for $30,000. He paid some guy to being it back to Massachusetts but it apparently got dinged along the way and he was NOT happy about it. Naturally he did the only thing he could do at at that point – create a disturbance in Uxbridge that necessitated a call to the cops, assault the responding officer, force him to call in officers from Milville and North Smithfield, RI, get detained, nearly get tasered, and avoid arrest by telling them who you are. Here’s the incident report from January 15, 2020.
Sounds like the town of Millville is in good hands. Props to the officer for handling an incredibly awkward situation as best he could, not letting this asshole’s behavior affect his own, and still kind of holding him accountable. Safe to say if you or I hit an Uxbridge Police Officer’s hand and repeatedly refused to comply we’d have some Google trophies in our future. But I guess when you’re the police chief of a town with 3,000 people whose primary selling point is its proximity to Woonsocket, the law doesn’t apply to you.
