Want proof that the New England Patriots were sent here by God to to give the greatest fans on earth an endless supply of championships and goodwill? Check out what Vince Wilfork did after the Patriots facialized the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday:
New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork was driving home from Sunday night’s rousing victory against the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game when he noticed a Jeep Wrangler rolled onto its side on Route 1 not far from Gillette Stadium.
So he did what he said anyone else would: He pulled over and lent a helping hand, with the Massachusetts State Police arriving soon after and crediting Wilfork with helping pull the driver — 38-year-old Mary Ellen Brooks of Hanson, Massachusetts — out of the vehicle.
The accident occurred at 12:45 a.m., and trooper Kenneth Proulx reported that he held the driver’s door open while Wilfork reached in and helped lift Brooks out of the vehicle with one hand. Wilfork then departed after ensuring no more assistance was needed. Brooks was then arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Nothing to see here, just Vince Wilfork Supermaning some drunk broad out of a flipped Jeep, with one hand mind you. Ho-Hum, another day in the life of a Patriot.
So the question some people are asking is, is he a hero? Well of course he’s a hero. He’s a hero on & off the field. If you’ve been trapped in your shell the past 48 hours, you may have missed Vince & the Pats treating the Colts like all of Bill Cosby’s guests on Picture Pages.
Even more amazing is that he did all this after playing an NFL playoff game and skeeting champagne all over the Pats locker room. But, while everyone lauds his heroism, this writer for one thinks he just caused a major problem for everyone attending Pats games in the future.
See, by rescuing this drunkard, Vince has basically given the blueprint for any non-Goon driven party bus convoy of nudniks to flip their Sequoia and just wait for Vince, Chandler, or another unsuspecting Pat to come along and risk their life saving these fools.
Hero? Sure. Great way to drown out the #DeflateGate dipshits? Absolutely! But has he just caused a public safety issue for years to come? No? The Kelley Square/I-93 protesters are proof that common sense is not that common
