Is killing Jews OK? Most people would say, “No of course not. What kind of stupid question is that?” But local Worcester lawyer Phil Stone seems to disagree after last week’s murder of four Israelis in Tel Aviv:
See, this is the type of stuff that needs to end. Stop justifying terrorism. I don’t care what your politics are – it is never, ever OK to murder people for your cause. Pretty simple concept.
And yes, we are entitled to freedom of speech, but Phil Stone is an attorney in Worcester. Here’s his website. And when you’re an attorney, and many of your potential future clients are Jewish, Turtleboy thinks it’s fair for people to know where their lawyer stands on the slaughter of four Jewish people in Israel. Do these look like violent “oppressors,” to you? Because according to Phil Stone, they are indeed oppressors and illegal occupiers. To Turtleboy they look like ordinary people who were trying to enjoy some coffee in a country they were born in. But I guess according to Phil Stone they were asking for it because they had the misfortune of being born Jewish in Israel.
In light of what happened this weekend in Orlando, Turtleboy has reached his breaking point with the justification of mass murder. If you do it, and you’re just some schmo on the Internet, no one cares. But you don’t get to be a legitimate lawyer during the day and then write this garbage on Facebook and expect not to get called out on it. We actually saw people blaming this on Donald Trump’s hate speech for provoking it. Because there were no Islamic attacks on America before Trump was a thing.
The bottom line is that no one should be killing anyone over politics or religion. And anyone who condones it should be publicly shamed. Like Attorney Phil Stone.
Just sayin.

The dude offered a comment about an ongoing public news story in Israel. Not a particularly clever comment, nor one I would agree with – but equating it with mass murder might be stretching it a bit. And to top it off stating ‘Jews’ may want to avoid doing business with him? Smacks of a boycott IMHO…

You can’t explain “white privilege” to anyone who chooses to believe it exists solely because the person is white. Obviously, there is a moral limit of what one should say, especially if they are not anonymous. Condoning the murder of innocent people is definitely disgusting. Sometimes when I’m vulgar on here, I even make myself cringe when I click “post comment” however, I won’t ever be caught saying something like that about innocent people. Nor will I ever condone or agree with anyone who does.
