We’ve seen a lot of really dumb GoFundMe’s before, but this one takes the cake:
Wait a minute…..the GoFundMe was started by her LAWYER?? Todd Rutherford is probably worth close to a million bucks. He’s a state representative (the house minority leader at that), and he owns Rutherford Law Firm, LLC. There’s a reason he is representing this girl – because he saw a big pay day.
So why the hell is he begging for money? They’re gonna win a shitload of money in a settlement because the court of public opinion has already decided that the shitbag girl was the victim because apparently the cop should’ve let her continue to disrupt class rather than do his job.
The money is going towards her medical costs, educational expenses, and any other expenses she has to endure? Hmmmm. Well her medical costs are covered by health insurance, which we all have now thanks to the big man in the White House. Educational expenses? Ummm, she goes to a public school, so that sounds legit. What could these “other expenses” possibly be?
Oh yea, her legal fees. Don’t you see what this asshole just did here? He took this girl on, who obviously can’t afford to pay him, and he started a GoFundMe to pay his own salary. It’s genius when you think about it. I mean, by the time I finish writing this he’ll probably get to the goal of $25,000. This is the story everyone in America is talking about. He can milk these suckers for a lot more than $25K.
I’m not even mad at Todd Rutherford, this is fucking BRILLIANT. Exploiting internet morons who are experts in police tactics. I’m more mad at myself for NOT thinking of this. Maybe we should set up a fund for this girl too? Anyone have any bullshit costs not included in this one that we could raise money for? I’m thinking the “new desk” fund or something like that.

$31,000 as of this posting. Ridiculous. I cannot believe people have abused the “Go Fund Me” page like this. This case gets $31,000 and the family of the kid with brain cancer (whose medical bills must be unfathomable) has $10,000. Not taking sides. The kid was seriously hurt but I’m sure her smartass mouth and fuck you attitude (enhanced by her grief) precipitated the incident.
