Saw this flyer posted on the Worcester Housing Authority Facebook page and had to do a double take:

    16819440_1272001036186780_5889351530475068026_o

Wait…..what? So if you’re on Section 8 it means the government is already paying a portion of your rent. And when I say “the government,” I of course mean the taxpayers. Because they get their money from us.

I mean, just look at the wording on the flyer:

“Your section 8 payments will pay off your house in less than 15 years. That means you will own your home free and clear of debt.”

So, in other words, it’s a free house. Because it clearly says right there, that your section 8 checks will pay for the house. Not your own personal checks. The checks you’re getting for the government. And it will be paid off in 15 years. Meanwhile, I’m sitting over here on a 30 year mortgage, and I’ll probably end up dragging that out longer when I have to refinance because Turtleboy Jr. wants to go to art school.

Screen Shot 2017-02-27 at 10.10.12 AM

Oh yea, and look at all the other sweet deals – no down payment, no credit checks, no closing costs, no fees. Basically all the things that the rest of us have to pay for, it’s on the house if you have section 8. No pun intended.

I’ll tell you one thing – working and being responsible is extremely overrated. What’s the point? If you’re successful then you have to pay for your own stuff. If not, the Worcester Housing Authority buys you a house. The latter sounds way more appealing. Just sayin.

Democrats lost the election, so they have to up their freebie game to get the voters to come out. Very smart play by the parasites. Short term hit letting Trump win for a long term gain by forcing Democrats give them more free shit.

Normally I would agree that this seems crazy but… if this gets them off section 8 in a period of 15 years, where they would otherwise pay a landlord’s mortgage for more than that time, than this is not a bad idea. Think about it from that perspective. In the long run we’re getting them off sec 8, creating independence, and getting people to have pride in where they live. And…they’re not buying homes in extremely desirable areas either.

      1. titiho

they should be off long before then

and who is to say their section8 doesnt continue after they pay off the house..all you legally have to do is charge yourself rent.

    11. Chris

Isn’t the bad credit, sub prime debacle still on anyone’s mind? Weren’t taxpayers already on the hook for bad mortgages? Are people on section 8 forever? What’s the motivation to get off of it if they’ll have to pay their own mortgage?

    12. brian albrecht (the real one)

Yo you pussys. I’m gonna be at louie’s pizza today at 5pm. Louie’s got the best greek salad in weymouth muthafuckas. And I know all about dat greek salad since I went to prison! The first 10 of you faggots to show up, I’m gonna toss your salad!! Yeah, salad with brown sauce. Just like they used to serve me in prison. So you faggots better be there. I can toss the salad and toss the rocks at the same time for all you boys out there. And the girls that show up, let me just say I like tossing yesterdays salad LOL!!!

      1. ZephyrCat

I personally think this is a great idea. Why shouldnt they be able to use their tax generated income used to buy them a home that they didnt pay for. Im still having nightmares about Brian Albrecht. He almost fucking killed me yesterday. WOuld have snapped my twink boyfriend right in half. TRULY SCARY

    13. ZephyrCat

    14. wtatnuckgangsta

WTF. I would have owned my house if I just sat on my ass in Worcester during the recession, let my severance and unemployment bennies run out, and got on Section 8? But instead I relocated for a job, worked my ass off, returned to school on (thankfully) mostly tuition reimbursement but also out-of-pocket, and now am renting while saving up for a house? Clearly, I’m retarded and need to get on disability at this point.

This world is fucked up. I personally know alcoholics who don’t work because it doesn’t “fit their lifestyle”. Not even close to joking or exaggerating and they’re so self-entitled they put evidence of their choices on the Internet for all to see. I pay taxes to support these idiots. I hope Trump shuts down all welfare benefits and puts these people out on the streets to rot…but NIMBY because I don’t even want to see them. There is nothing wrong with being a NIMBY in this current world. I don’t want to be mixed in with these types.

      1. TheRealZephyrCat

Trump can’t fix it even if he wanted to. This shit is too far gone. Generations of dirtbags who know nothing about work. Generations who think the government is their daddy & momma. They grew up in filth, debauchery, booze, drugs, violence all over the place in their face constantly, no education ( cuz dropping out is keeping it real/100). How you gonna fix that? And they get rewarded for that behavior. Nah. People really running shit planned this and executed it brilliantly. Wait until the day these fuckos don’t get their bennys because the country or their state is broke. People lose their shit real quick. Especially when so many of them won’t be able to afford the psyche meds their on. Fun times coming.

        1. wtatnuckgangsta

The worst case I know is actually a late baby boomer born around the time this self-entitlement shit started. We’re talking 40-50 years ago and you’re right that it’s gone on too long and spread too far. He grew up with no reason to turn out how he did. Supportive family, clean home in a safe area, good education that he ruined with boozing. He just drinks up a storm and is too high and mighty to take a job he can get, which would be janitorial, dish washing or similar. He has been to jail more times than years he’s been alive and thinks it’s funny and normal at this point. He steals, beats up people and animals, and takes money from people and taxes to buy alcohol. He lives on the system and is completely physically and mentally capable of doing some kind of work that would look past his awful criminal background. But why do that when you can use your “disease” and get cash, free food, free healthcare and other handouts like clothes, a government smart phone and housing. The only saving grace of this whole ordeal is that he hasn’t procreated…at least not that any of us know of.

I grew up in a household of alcoholics and I lucked out. They embarrassed me so much that I took on the responsibility of maintaining the house and earning my own money early on. I got myself away from all that shit and believe it’s the reason I have zero tolerance for addicts and people who refuse to work. My raising really could have backfired if I didn’t see the problem and get out of it. And like any quality addict, they like to convince me that I’m the bad guy for leaving them all behind. It took a lot of work to build myself up and gain the confidence to obtain a good life.

          1. TheRealZephyrCat

The part that got me was when you said they’re mad because you left them behind. Victim ’til the end. Never their fault. That’s how this culture works. Blame anyone else for their shortcomings. I’m surprised it took blacks and gays that long to work the victimhood thing. The jews mastered that shit years ago. Btw, I’m racist, anti-semitic and homophobic for pointing that out. See, must be nice to be immune to criticism!

            1. wtatnuckgangsta

I take it one person at a time and try my best not to generalize, but addicts…well they’re pretty much all the same. With me, it’s family and one drunk who are always looking to make themselves a victim of me leaving. How is it fair that an alcoholic criminal is getting support AND has the right to make my life hell because I won’t give him attention and support. The jackass gets enough off the government and I get to have my life interrupted because I’m the one person he knows who’s not buying his victim shit show. I’m a threat because I know the truth and I’m not afraid to call it out to the cops and the government if I’m bothered by him. I cannot stand people like this. At least my family is more about guilt trips and not actually attempting to destroy everything I’ve worked for. I wish every day that support for addicts will be pulled. They are doing nothing to contribute to society. I unfortunately also know a relatively nice drug addict who would never really hurt anybody but is taking advantage of his family far too much at this point. I’m a little torn on that one, but it’s their support that enables him.

            2. Brian Albrecht

I take everyone at face value too. But as a whole, there are similarities shall we say. And look, using addicts are pretty much the same because when the drug takes over, nothing else matters. Recovering addicts have alot of similarities. But I personally know very many recovering addicts. Most of them are decent. They’re like the general population…all sorts. Some continue to be absolute douchebags. But the ones that make it and start working on making themselves better people, I’ll take them over 99% of the “normal” folks who have no self awareness. BUT they have to get it that moderation ain’t an option for them.

            3. ZephyrCat

Oops! Yikes! I’ve been outed. That was Zephyr who said that. Brian’s too busy fitting a cucumber into his ass.

It has to be disillusioning to people that work hard to provide for their families to see people on welfare living a substantially higher standard of living. Everything is given to them for free. Free to them. The taxpayers have to pay for it.
Particularly disconcerting is seeing the people that are getting rich on welfare fraud driving around in brand new Nissan or Honda SUV’s. They can’t even buy cars that support American workers.

If the Feds can put Sal Dimasi in prison, they should be able to investigate the massive fraud in Massachusetts.

The honest taxpayers in Massachusetts need to start a major mail and email campaign to the White House to ask for a major investigation of fraud in Massachusetts.

      1. Chris

Hopefully with AG Jeff Sessions and whomever becomes the U.S. Attorney for Mass. this might happen!

The real scam goes like this: Girlfriend gets on section 8
Buys a 2 family house with this program, has her “baby daddy”, who also has a voucher, move into the rental apartment and “double dips” completely legally!!! Welcome to Massachusetts!

    19. Steven Stover

Welfare brats. Breeding like rats. Ruining neighborhoods one block at a time.

    20. Why work ?

Absurd, now the taxpayers are financing real estate. This program has been really hidden from the public very well. After 15 years, can the gov. assistance recipients sell the property ? How about maintenance to the property during and after the 15 years ? Would bet most would not maintain the houses properly. End up again, with foreclosures and the taxpayers footing the bill. Who pays the real estate taxes yearly, insurance, etc. This one is really out-there !

    21. Fuk em'all

Shit makes me so pissed it’s not funny. Been working since I was 14 to get my piece of the pie yet some leach can get it from the 13k these pricks keep out of my check a year. And they wonder why Trump got elected???

    22. Independent Thinker

I’d like a free house with those outstanding terms. How about extending the deal to the rest of us?

Also, are there any restriction, such as having to occupy the house instead of renting it out, or not refinancing it and using it as an ATM, or not selling it for a big profit when you have equity?

    23. MrSmiley

SSTG and TBS own Brian’s itty bitty brain.

    24. wabbitt

So that means, because I just my ass 60 hours a week, I can’t get a free house. But if I sit on my ass doing drugs and eating Cheetos I can get a house on the taxpayers dime?

      Fuck. I’m a sucker…

    25. John Galt

Section 8 is the real reason behind the 2009 Recession, not Big Bank like you’ve been told. Think about it, if people actually paid what they could afford for rent (not subsidized by the taxpayer), housing prices would not have bubbled and exploded! This program will only lead to the next financial crisis when the section-8ers start taking money out of their gift-home, thereby going underwater & eventually foreclosing. It’s the obvious unforeseen end game to this handout. Where is Ray Mariano?

      1. Lt Dan

A fool and his money are soon parted. Rim shops on every corner!

    26. Worcester Resident

This won’t take off. They don’t want to pay for trash removal, utilities, and all the repairs to fix the damage inflicted by their animal kids. Also, way to make them not want to work more and get off section eight because then obviously they would have e to then pay the mortgage. Gonna be even funnier when they burn one down cooking methe.

      1. Lt Dan

Thats when the sharks move in and take advantage of some state grants combatting”blight”.

Blight is a direct result of occupants not giving two fucks about the appearance of where they live. God forbid anyone has a little bit of pride.

    27. HUD freebies

This program has been around for many years.

    28. Tired of Don't Snitch Pussies

I have a neighbor that does something like this. Both she and her husband collect every welfare subsidy there is, both on SSI, had the kids diagnosed for more bennies – the whole nine yards. His or her parents, not sure which, own the house they live in and they pay “rent” with their Section 8 vouchers. Drive a brand new car, have a pool, bouncy house for the kids’ birthdays, etc. And this is not in the city – it’s in Auburn. And she occasionally comments on TBS on FB, slamming people that are gaming the system – or complaining about her latest fake “illness” for sympathy.

      Do you recognize yourself, Becky?

    29. No blinders on

i wonder who was the head of the WHA when this program was first introduced? Maybe someone who would be a shoe in for Mayor if he chose to run? Maybe someone is setting this unnamed candidate up for another named candidate! Pathetic attempt!!!!!!

    30. Pissed off johnnyb

There is just not enough outrage to this article. I want a fuckin house! Why am I seeing this 2 days later??!! I work, pay my rent, car payments, food bills and FUCK! Now I’m paying for a house and I can’t live in it??!! FUCK…

    31. Jon

had a friend take there sec 8 to east brookfield and buy a house its nice big abunch of land. Fuck it they played tye game and won.

    32. CesspoolComments

That company offers this same mortgage to everyone. No mention of Section 8 on their site but the no down payment, no credit check, no closing costs, no nothing – all that’s available to anyone. No income max or min. Maybe if you tell a story, tell the whole story. #fakenews

    33. Woo

This may have started with good intentions to create initiative in generational welfare families to create stable neighborhoods with a concrete goal of finally owning a large asset after 15 years, and getting a first big step up in society. I do not see it ending well in all but a few cases, and that is assuming that there isn’t double and triple Section 8 dipping with rent games in, say, a triple decker.

To own and maintain a home when you have come from generations that respect no property, even the one lived in, you will lack the hard preventative care and proactive maintenance mindset required to keep up a house. If it is a rental property, Worcester Housing Court hell will eat them alive.

If on Section 8, where are resources for home insurance, flood insurance, utilities and real estate taxes (all of which increase every year, year after year)? What happens when there is the inevitable major repair (roof leak, hot water heater lets go, tree crushes porch, etc)?

I’d like this have the effect of stabilizing a bad neighborhood with good families who take pride in their new property, but I don’t see answers to these questions.
