This is an actual real headline from the Huffington Post:
Can’t make this stuff up. Tom Brady, a married man with children who pays taxes and votes, is “more un-American” than Colin Kaepernick, a washed up backup quarterback who wears Fidel Castro shirts to press conferences and admittedly never voted.
This link right here is probably the best article we’ve ever read about Colin Kaepernick and how delusional and braindead he is. The reporter is the son of a Cuban exile who escaped oppression in Cuba that they were experiencing under Castro’s reign of terror. His father and mother were about to board a plane out of the country with him as a child, and despite the fact that they had all the legal documents, one of Castro’s thugs made the family decide right on the runway which family member would stay behind. Just because he could. After a traumatic goodbye, the reporter’s father agreed to stay behind. They didn’t see him for years after that.
Kaepernick’s response to the man’s questions shows what a naive and sheltered American Kaepernick is. He’s a millionaire with “American privilege.” White privilege isn’t a real thing. But American privilege is. We’re extremely lucky to have been born here, considering the alternatives. And one of these privileges is the right to vote for whoever you want to. Kaepernick choosing not to exercise this privilege while endorsing a murderer who has suppressed voting for over 50 years, shows you how meaningless and hollow his entire schtick was. There’s a reason the media stopped paying attention to players taking a knee during the game.
But Brady had a had a hat in his locker one time, and he goes golfing with his millionaire friends. So he’s obviously more un-American than the Castro supporting moron.
So the author of this article, David Dennis Jr., is an adjunct professor of English at Morehouse College:
In other words, he is hired help because Morehouse College didn’t wanna pay for his health insurance.
He’s also an Atlanta Falcons fan:
So yea, this is what the Huffington Post publishes. Falcons fans whining about the GOAT because they know they’re about to get their ass beat by a guy with a MAGA hat. Let’s see what David Dennis Jr. had to say in the article:
Brady’s obliviousness reeks of white privilege and dismissiveness; a #MAGA trait if there ever was one. But what’s most troubling is the way Brady’s Trump endorsement has been treated compared to Kaepernick’s political statements.
As soon as you mention “white privilege” you’ve already lost the argument. Tom Brady’s privilege comes from his American citizenship and millions and millions of dollars. The same exact privilege that Colin Kaepernick has. But at least Tom Brady earns his money. He’s 39 years old and arguably had the second best season of his career, despite an unwarranted four game suspension. Meanwhile Colin Kaepernick gets paid almost the exact same amount of money and went 1-11 as a quarterback this year, with his lone win coming against the hapless Rams by one point. But yea, “white privilege.”
Brady’s Trump endorsement, however, has been largely ignored when, in fact, supporting Donald Trump as President of The United States is far more threatening to America than taking a knee during the National Anthem.
Neither is a threat to America. Both are harmless and pretty meaningless actually. Brady owns a hat. God forbid. But at least people who wear the hat exercise their civic duty.
By placing Trump’s hat in front of media members, Brady was endorsing his billionaire buddy and everything his politics entail. And these politics are far more deadly and corrosive to the United States than any policy Kaepernick has publicly supported. Donald Trump is objectively and undeniably un-American. So is supporting him.
Yup, by owning a hat you’re endorsing every single political position associated with that hat. Or he just wanted to wear a hat to the Stadium because it was sunny outside. One or the other.
It’s time to really ask why, then, has Brady’s endorsement of and friendship with Trump been treated so differently from Kaepernick’s protests. And what do we really believe in?
Pretty simple David – one went looking for the spotlight, and the other didn’t. No one knew Kaepernick was doing this protest until he went looking for the media. That’s how irrelevant the backup quarterback for the worst team in the league was. He’d been doing the protest for three weeks and no one noticed. So he intentionally put himself into the public spotlight, knowing that he was provoking a fight with veterans and blue-blooded Americans. It’s his right to do so, no doubt. But he went looking for a fight. Brady had a hat in his locker. That’s why they’re being treated differently.
Nah, that can’t be it. It’s because one is white, and the other is just half white with two white parents:
The obvious answer, which is also the answer that got us in this mess to begin with, is simple: for far too long America has been too uncomfortable with a Black man standing for his beliefs and far too accepting of a white man expressing his, no matter whom his beliefs end up harming in the process.
“For too long America has been too uncomfortable with a black man standing for his beliefs and far too accepting of a white man expressing his.” Yea, Americans simply won’t accept a black man who stands up for his beliefs, especially when his opinions are different from a white man’s opinions. Except for this one time:
And then this other time:
Besides that his argument is flawless.
The comments section was on fire too. Led by this chick with her smoking hot takes:
HAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!! Is there anything more embarrassing than when people say stuff like this? Newsflash Aimee – you were never really a Patriots fan to begin with. You pretended to like sports because you wanted to have something to talk to with the boys. You didn’t wanna be left out of the Super Bowl party. But you really don’t care if they win or lose. The less of you on our bandwagon the better. We heard the 49ers are looking for new fans though, since their stadium is pretty empty. We’d recommend joining them.
The best part is how she’s looking for another team because of a hat. “Anyone know of another good team” might be the greatest pink hat question of all time.
Yea, Tom Brady has no morals. Except for the fact that he’s generally considered the most charitable player in the NFL. But all those kids he’s helped don’t matter because he owns a hat and this diehard chick is looking for a new team.
So what team will she pick? Because we’re all anxiously awaiting her big announcement. Well, fellow butthurt Robert Loeder thinks she would be a good fit with Seahawks fans:
Can’t say I disagree. After all, there is no greater bandwagon team of fake fans than the Seattle Seahawks. She’d fit right in, until she found out that one of the players voted for a candidate she didn’t like.
But yea, their coach Pete Carroll is a real man of “integrity.” This explains why he ran away from USC after he realized the school was about to get busted for cheating. Since he’s gotten to Seattle his team has had more players suspended for steroid use than any other team. Oh, and they’re gonna be missing a draft pick this year because they’ve been busted multiple times since 2012 for having illegal practices.
Pete Carroll is also very “insightful.” Which is why he can’t stop talking about his 9/11 conspiracy theories. That’s right, Pete Caroll is a 9/11 truther. Most truthers are losers in their parents basement. This is the “insightful” coach poor Aimee should hitch her wagon to.
Yup, that about sums him up. He lets his players juice their faces off. Or in millenial talk, he’s letting his players “be who they are.”
And Aimee is gonna get right on that, as soon as she finds the time. She’s very busy with “activism”:
The struggle is real girl!!
Loved this comment:
So when Trump showed up for a free rally he protested. When Hillary showed up he “splurged” on nice tickets. Has any statement ever summed up the difference between the two campaigns were run? One was a $100 a plate fundraiser machine with celebrities galore. The other was a guy with a red hat riding across the country with his family and talking about a wall.
But it’s OK, because Brady and Trump say racist things to each other in private:
Mickey Gallagher was there. He knows the racist and homophobic thing these two guys talk about on the golf course. This is how dumb people are.
Anyway, in classic Twitter egg troll fashion David Dennis Jr. is refusing to engage people who disagree with him:
He’s degrading working class Patriots fans because they’re not fortunate enough to be adjunct professors:
He’s desperately hoping that Donald Trump will read about how “wack” his inauguration was:
And he’s writing letters to his sons before he inevitably gets killed by a racist cop:
