Am I The Only One Who Thinks Missing 15 Year Old Abigail Hernandez Was “Found” After Nine Months Because She Was Pregnant?

CONWAY, N.H. — A 15-year-old New Hampshire girl who disappeared while on her way home from school nine months ago is safely home with her family, the state attorney general said Monday.

Abigail Hernandez was reunited with her family on Sunday evening, Attorney General Joseph Foster said.

Foster said the family has asked for privacy. He said Abigail’s mother, Zenya Hernandez, told authorities “today we are the happiest people on earth.”

Police said Abigail was last seen Oct. 9 after leaving Kennett High School in Conway. Police said she walked her normal route toward her house and sent several texts between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. But she never made it home.

Police did reveal several months ago that she had written home to her mother. When the letter surfaced, FBI Special Agent In Charge Kieran Ramsey said there was the possibility that Abigail had run away but that someone could still be coercing her into staying away from home.

Yea so….am I an asshole for pointing out that this girl was obviously pregnant? I mean, come on people. Give me a break here. First of all she was 14 when she “disappeared.” Newsflash – 14 year old girls don’t survive on their own for nine months. She was obviously with someone. You know who was looking for you girl? The F-B-I.  And she just magically avoided detection for nearly a full calendar year? She never came out of her bunker? She never went into town? A 14 year old girl was perfectly content sitting alone in some log cabin for nine months? She’s a regular Whitey Bulger isn’t she?

How convenient that after exactly nine months she just wandered home. Hmmmm. I wonder why? Guess what? When a kid runs away from home they’re back in three days because they found out that without money it’s kind of hard to live. Unless of course they’re kidnapped, which if that were true we’d probably know by now. Instead the only explanation for this manhunt is this:

Foster said the family has asked for privacy. He said Abigail’s mother, Zenya Hernandez, told authorities “today we are the happiest people on earth.”

Yea, no. Sorry the taxpayers just financed a massive search for your kid who randomly wandered home one day. You don’t get to just say, “Let’s move on.” The second you made the public take part in this search you made yourself accountable to the public. You don’t get to ask for privacy.

abigail_b38e31c0f612c648d118de0ee5c3df74

Simple solution to all this. The police just ask her, “Hey, where the fuck were you?” Then she tells them and the public gets it’s answer. Most likely she’ll lie and we’ll able to see right through it. But this privacy bullshit is nonsense. You don’t get to ask for the public’s help and then ask us to go away when the girl magically returns.

If she wasn’t sent away to some stash house to give birth then please let me hear some theories. The second most likely scenario would involve her hanging out with some sleazy 19 year old boyfriend that she thinks she’s in love with. Happens all the time on Lifetime. But when those girls come home they do so because something went terribly wrong and they immediately tell the cops what happened. But yet this family has nothing to say and wants “privacy.” Right.

You know what this sounds a lot like? That mother in Lunenburg who spray painted racist slurs all over her own house so that she could blame the whole town for being racist and her kid could play football in Leominster instead. The public supported their family and even held a candlelight vigil. Once the kid transferred schools they of course wanted to FBI to stop investigating because they got what they wanted. The public was onto her scam and what did she ask for? Privacy. Because if we stop asking questions then they don’t get caught. Same exact thing here.

Anyway it could turn out that I’m wrong and I look like a giant dooshnozzle. I’m just pointing out the obvious fact that there’s something extremely suspicious about a nine month disappearance for a 14 year old girl who comes home with no stories to tell. I could tell you that we should all wait and see how this plays out, but that wouldn’t be a hot take now would it? And hot takes is what we do around here.

I never believed her story. First off, she said that she got into his car beverage she had blisters on her feet from her new boots.
She was at school all day in those boots; she would have had blisters long before she started walking home that day.

She then walked one mile home after 9 months wearing the same boots with no blisters at all? No need for a ride?
He was “nice enough” to buy her monthly personal items for 9 months?
She looked pretty well fed and healthy upon her return.

I think she wrote that letter to her mom of her own violation as well. She didn’t want to be found. She was playing house with a grown man.

I think that during the week after her return, they were coming up with her story about being kidnapped.

Telling the cops that he hates cops would certainly get their attention.

I think she left home because she thought that she was in love with a grown man who she met online and when she felt the thrill was gone and was ready to go home, he brought her home.

Just heard of this case. First read up, red flags everywhere. Definitely a hoax! No kidnapper is willing letting their captives go, period. Not to mention for a girl who was held captive for 9 months, she seemed pretty well kept!
    Finally people with common sense!!!

Just watched the story. Anyone find it odd that her new boyfriend looks alot like her supposed kidnapper?

Nate = Odd duck, he will get time, but in this case he is a scapegoat.

Abigail = runaway and far away.

Things overlooked or not know unless you live in town:
It took 2 weeks for the letter to arrive after the postmark, that tells me it went through customs somewhere.
The defense (Nate’s legal team) has been denied receiving anything from the authorities to this point. August 11th
Abby goes to the arraignment 1 week after she arrives home from her said to be kidnapper. Who allegedly stored her in a bin for 9 months?
Gorham is ice cold in the winter, -25F. There is no way she could survive a winter in that storage bin.
Nate requested the police come to his house and take his guns while on parole, while Abby was supposedly being held captive.
Abby has been prancing around town like a celebrity. Did anyone hear about Abby giving the media the finger, nope. The media knows whats up, but is going along with the game.

This is a delay tactic by the authorities, hoping things will fade away. Too much personal time and money has been spent for the story not to be told.

I agree. The fact that ANYONE believes this girl is insane to me. Might be the most obvious lie in world history.

Kibby is only charged with releasing her “without any bodily harm” ( that means she wasnt raped or phyically tortured, folks – or malnourished) “and in a safe place.” — meaning he voluntarily brought her home / dropped her off at a safe location. This is not what real kidnappers do. Exact wording under the NH law he is being prosecuted under. Max penalty is 7 years. This charge deepens the questions about what really happened. Clearly she wasnt abducted. There is more to the story. NO, she wasnt held captive in a shipping container, even the police verify that . The mom is making the TV talkshow circuit all while asking for privacy. The father says nothing publicly , probably because he sees this for what it is : his kid ran away. The girl Clearly knew Kibby somehow. Alot of unanswered questions. I will withold judgment until all of the facts come out. Something is very fishy.

They have arrested someone for kidnapping her. I think the police know of other people being involved in her kidnapping, and they dont want tthem to know that they are onto them. and that is why they are keeping quiet.

Good call loser. Arrest has been made

Just because an arrest was made doesn’t mean anything. I’m sure I’ll get a LOT of flack from this, but there are people, like I, who still think that Elizabeth Smart went willingly with her “abductor:. He came in through her window, and instead of screaming like a normal 14 year old would, she went to the washroom with him and closed the door. Her sister heard them whispering. Then she grabbed a few things and left. Let’s remember too that the man she left with did not have that bushy beard at the time, and was semi attractive – and she knew him. She was even asked by a police officer while “kidnapped” if she was Elizabeth Smart, and she said no.
He too was arrested, but I will forever believe that she changed her story later on, and wanted to get away from her controlling father.
I agree this case is strange….more to it than we know.

Maybe he had a gun, or a knife, or maybe he was just a scary 34 year old man, and maybe he told her that he would harm her sister, or her family or her. You are disgusting. The writer of this blog are disgusting. I am sure the first thing they did was take her to get a medical exam, and do you know what’s pretty easy to look for; pregnancy. There is no way to hide if you have recently given birth. They check for those things, after something like a kidnapping. I am so sick of people blaming the victims in these situations.

That was the first thing I thought when I heard that she ‘walked through the door at her mom’s house’ I know they’ve arrested somebody, but it’s still very fishy to me!

OMFG! The voice of reason! This case caught my attention when I heard some feminist spouting on Good Morning America that even if young Abby left home by her own volition there was still some evil force that “enticed her away.” For the love of Christ. Is any female ever held responsible for her own behavior anymore? This whole case reeks of propaganda. Abby went missing, but we won’t tell you how. She was gone for 9 months, but we won’t tell you where. She returned home, but we won’t tell you how. Bullshit! ACQUIT THE WRONGFULLY ACCUSED NATHANIEL KIBBY!!

Clearly you haven’t been paying attention to this blog. Margee Pesikov, St. Bonaventure fans, anyone associated with Boston College, and rich girls from New Jersey are Turtleboy’s favorite targets, and they are overwhelmingly white.

And Turtleboy seems to be sparing from criticism all of the other girls who mysteriously disappear for nine months… oh wait.

I agree with you 100%. The family enlisted the help of the public, and now they are claiming that this whole thing is private. Hey, maybe they should just hold a press conference and tell us all “fuck you”. That would at least be honest. I have been following this case since it broke, and I can read between the lines. After a couple of weeks, the family knew that Abby had runaway with someone that she knew. Now, I think that whether a 14 year-old child is kidnapped or a runaway, they still need to be found, but there was absolutely NO REASON to have people searching the woods on their days off, or stopping traffic during the busy season. Abby was off with some guy somewhere. I get that the family is probably embarrassed, but they are going to have to live with it and give the public an explanation.

Honestly, at this point I would not be surprised if this whole thing was a hoax with even the mother being in on it. They are doing, as you say, EXACTLY what hoaxers do when the heat is on. They are asking for privacy, when they should be giving the public, who made sacrifices to help them, an explanation.

Them wanting to get the word out to find their missing 14 year old does not ENTITLE you to all the details of her abduction. Are you actually serious? Did you feel like the least bit silly for this comment AFTER the guy got arrested or still clinging to some farther fetched explanation that lets you still be right? Not every thought that runs through your brain needs to be on the internet.

Did you see what that man was charged with? He has not even been charged with a sex crime. Abby first LIED to the police about who it was that abducted her. She purposefully gave a false description. Okay, so to me that sounds like she was covering for this Kibby character, and it took them nearly a week to get it out of her. I think she is certainly not being very cooperative. Why haven’t they charged this guy with more than ONE class B felony nearly two weeks after his arrest?

As Channel 5’s Facebook page blows up with dozens of people saying the same thing as the Turtleboy, and a bunch of idiots saying we should mind our own business and that we’re horrible people for even suggesting this.

      July 23, 2014 at 10:22 am

Hahaha I think we are all willing to explore alternative theories. Like, was she kidnapped… and then the kidnapper decided that teenage girls are too much of a pain in the ass so he let her go? Like, are we to believe that this guy was all excited about kidnapping a 14 year old girl and then once he realized that his days would consist of watching “Teen Mom” and other garbage on MTV all day he got tired of the situation and let her go?

The thing of it is, is that people are actually pretty good at sniffing out hoaxes and cover-ups. This whole thing reeks of being one of those (or both). I am willing to entertain the 5% possibility that it is not, but there is always a way hoaxes and cover-ups go down. Someone gets a HUGE amount of initial attention, then the public “comes together” in order to help them, then once the person sees that the public is asking way more questions than they anticipated, they start to back off a little, and finally, once the whole thing comes to an end, they demand “privacy” and accuse people who are asking perfectly reasonable questions of being mean.

This case follows that pattern to the T.
