Here’s an email that two students at Amherst Regional High School wrote, which was then sent throughout the public school system to students and faculty, encouraging students to protest President-elect Trump today:
We’re seeing this all across the country. It’s everything we dreamed it would be and more. Keep in mind, these are just dumb kids who don’t know any better. They’ve obviously brainwashed by their hippie parents. This is one of the organizers, Gina Alkiewicz:
As you an see, she is really suffering from hardships in Amherst. This is just her latest activism though. Her previous accomplishments include fixing gay marriage
and saving France from ISIS.
The other student organizing it is Abigail Morris, who seems like more of the outspoken leader.
Going into election night she was pretty convinced that Hillary Clinton would win:
But when things took a turn for the worse, so did Abigail
She didn’t want to come to terms with what was happening. Luckily she only gets her news from unbiased sites like the Huffington Post and New York Times.
She also posts a lot on her school’s black lives matter page, to help other students who had their feelings hurt by democracy:
Perhaps if Abigail wanted to heal the wounds of emotionally distressed people of color she could start by actually allowing one person of color into her immediate social circle:
Abigail has apparently started a Facebook page for this blackout too, where she answers questions like, “why the hell are we doing this?”
“I am scared.”
No you’re not. And even if you were, that’s just you being irrational and dramatic. You need to get over that and be a big girl.
“My right to abortion will be lost.”
Hey, here’s an idea – don’t get pregnant. Crazy right?
“They elected a sexual predator to office.”
Actually, we did. But it’s cool though, because we elected a sexual predator to office in 1992 and then again in 1996, and the economy started booming and we didn’t get dragged into any wars. A blowjob a day keeps ISIS away. You kids are too young to remember the 90’s. You’ve had two straight presidents who were relatively decent family men. It’s not always like that.
Oh, and one of her student friends in the group is apparently planning to assassinate President-elect Trump:
“Only choice is assassination.” Or you could just wait four years and vote for someone different next time. Or here’s an idea – if you don’t like the government, just go about your day and live your life. Mrs. Turtleboy doesn’t even vote unless I drag her ass to the polls. She’s happier and more stress free than 99% of the people who did vote. And I like it that way because it means that our arguments only revolve around her terrible choice in television shows and whether or not I left the seat up.
The really messed up part about this is that the school allowed this email to be sent out to all students and faculty. In doing so they are directly organizing it. Schools are supposed to remain neutral. Believe it or not there are kids that go to ARHS whose parents voted for President-elect Trump. How do you think they feel when they see this? Their administrators think that their parents are supporting a sadistic racist who is planning on oppressing anyone who isn’t a cisgendered straight white male. How can you have any confidence that your teachers and administrators support you if it’s clear that they think your family is pure evil? Would they have allowed pro-Trump students to send an email out like this if Hillary won? Of course not. The administrators at Amherst High School should be ASHAMED that they condoned this. Here’s their contact information if you want to share your feelings with them:
